  1. It would help if you knew what mode you are using Ni or Ti both modes are used for TC but they have to match the type of coil you are using. As much trouble you are having I would suggest getting some standard Nichrome coils, either 1.5 or .5 ohms and run in wattage mode. Just saying that might be the best thing for you at this time until you can learn more about TC.

    Who's telling the truth??

When in temp control mode, it shouldn't matter how high you set your wattage...your device is going to drop back on power (watts) when the coil reaches your preset temp (Fahrenheit or Celsius ). The only thing that setting your power to a higher level does is get you to your preset temp faster (less ramp up time). Also, a good place to start with your temp settings is at or below the flash point of dry cotton (420°F or 215°C).

  3. I went a little overboard last week and ordered 5 more RBAs, I guess I'll have a few backups for my backups. Plus I ordered some RBA heads for my Nano tanks, don't know yet about the quality since they are not made by Kanger.

  4. I totally agree with you. I have ordered another RBA, it just has not arrived. I rebuilt mine last night with Ti and it amazes me I waited this long. I normally go a week, and I have gone 2. I think I should be rebuilding a bit more frequently, the difference in flavor is amazing. I guess it decreases slowly so you don't notice how much it has gone down, until you change it.

Another option would be to put cotton in the RBA that came with the kit, there are numerous videos on the net explaining how to do it. The RBA comes with a .5 coil installed, but no cotton. Of course you will have to use wattage mode. What I like about using the RBA is you never have to buy another coil. But you may buy a extra RBA.

    Looking for input (help!)

Bak, whatever works for you is what you should use. You'll find there is a small learning curve when you first start vaping. Take the time to figure out what vaping is all about, get used to and comfortable with your equipment so you can stay off smokes and you should be fine. Don't get too wound up about someone's "opinion" of your setup. Instead, enjoy what you spent your money on. Once you're settled in and comfortable with vaping, then you'll probably want to explore other equipment setups. If/when you want good advice, you can't go wrong right here. Be picky about the shop you frequent, too. Too many shops want you to just buy something and leave. Make sure you know everything there is to know about what you're buying before you leave. You've probably already figured out the combinations, equipment and lingo can be mind-boggling to a beginner. You'll be just fine. Talk about overkill, I sometimes cruise around with an eleaf 20 topped off with a full size Nautilus. My attitude..... Works for me. If you don't like it, don't look at it.

  11. Actually it is not exactly your right to vape where you want. It is most definitely illegal to vape on about every US airline and I am seeing "No E-Cig" signs popping up everywhere. People that think they can vape anywher without ramifications willl continue to cause restrictions to be enhanced. I vape everywhere I can but if in question I ask. I do not have a bigger pet peeve, other than maybe cloud contests, than vapers especially subohm cloud blowers thinking they can fog up everywhere they go. In restaurants I excuse myself to the bathroom if I need a few draws unless it is openly allowed. I vape all day and low my employees to do the same at the businesses I run, in my car, home and almost anywher outside regardless but in stores, restaurants and other indoor public places I try to be discreet. A modicum of discretion will go a long way to help instead of hurt our cause.
