    Looking for a good mini

Hi folks, In the market for a good mini device to carry around with me. I'm not looking for sub-ohm. And I'd like to go as inexpensive as possible with the best quality. My eLeaf iTaste 20W has been so unreliable since I bought it early this year. Now it's not holding a charge for long at all. I've been using the GS-Air tank on it with 1.2 Ohm coils. Many thanks in advance!

    OH BOY OH BOY

I do sometimes get a batch that tastes bad and is unfixable so I dump it in a bottle labeled not so good. Awhile back I tried it and it tasted pretty good, so I dumped it in another bottle and vaped it. Started another not so good batch, every once in awhile I try it. I know I can't duplicate any of it but that's OK.

    OH BOY OH BOY

It feels great to have a batch turn out "right", doesn't it? I've been working on a new 5-flavor batch and after a week of trying different combos (and yes, a little suggestion from Comp), I finally realized that I needed to reduce the % of one flavor a tiny bit and add a 6th and 7th flavor... Now, it's PERFECT... or at least it is for me, lol. What I love most is saving $$! My SO and I are vaping more juice (twice as much at lower Nicotine levels, obviously), and spending about 5% as much on juice as we did from the B&M's... so I don't panic if I make a 5-10ml batch that doesn't meet flavor specs... it just goes down the drain or into the "mash" bottle to see what Flavor-Frankenstein I can come up with

  5. In a regulated mod, you'd want to use unprotected batteries, but QUALITY batteries, such as the ones from LG, Samsung, or Sony. Sony batteries are getting harder and harder to find (that aren't clones, seconds, or re-wraps), but if you can find authentic VTC4, those are good to use, and rated at 20A discharge. LG and Samsung batteries are my go-to batteries, but both are still only rated to 20A continuous discharge (30-35A peak @ 1-sec burst). Still though, even in your dual-battery box-mods, in parallel, that will give you 40A discharge (same Voltage as single battery, doubles the Amps)... Either way, as a single battery, they are good for running coils down to 0.22 Ohms without any issues or danger. If you are buying Samsung batteries, the 25R (Tiffany Blue wrapper) or 25R5 (green wrapper) are the ones to have... the green wrapped ones are the newest version. The pink wrapped 26F are 2600mAh, but I've not tried these yet, so I've no opinion on them for vaping. If you are buying LG... the brown wrapped HG2 are highest mAh rating @ 3000 mAh, and appear to be the current "king" of vaping batteries. The HE2 (red wrapper) and HE4 (yellow wrapper) are similar in function and 2500mAh, and I regularly use several of the HE2 without any problems. NOTE OF CAUTION: When using batteries in pairs for your box-mods... label them "A-B", "C-D", "E-F", etc., and keep that pair together forever... rotate their position left-right in the mod each time you replace them to ensure even use, and when one battery of the pair dies, do not re-marry the good battery to a brand-new battery... only re-marry it to another orphaned/divorced battery.

    Looking for a good mini

Just took a quick look and it seems like there are only two resistance levels to choose from: the 1.5 ohm and 1.2 ohm coils. There could be others but I didn't see any. If the 20W works in voltage mode, I'd stick with that until or unless you get a different battery.

I have two 30w Isticks, a 40wTC and a 50w. I love them all. The 30 and 40s are the perfect size to carry around (the 50 is a little big) I don't use the TC,, I only bought it cuz the price was right and thought I might someday try the temp control... Haven't felt the need yet. They last two full days and recharge pretty quickly. I get mine from Vapor Authority... Great prices and super fast shipping.

If I remember correctly, it was Earthling who told me to set the iStick 20W at volts instead of watts. The 20W doesn't read wattage well and burns hot. At volts, it works much better. Also, since it runs hotter than what the display reads, you'd be better off with a higher resistance coil like 2.0 or 2.5 ohms. Less chance of burning up a coil that way.

The Eleaf iStick 20w was the worst of the lot. I love the 50W version I now have nine of them... Are you looking for something that has the battery integrated into it like the iStick or do you want to buy the batteries (and charger) separately?

  10. Bought another Russian 91% from Mt. Baker Vapor last night. Liked the first one so much I had to get a back up for it. @Earthling789? You may begin with the "I TOLD YOU SO!"s.

  11. I have a Sigeli mini 30w. I love it for the small size. One 18650 battery and I'm good to go. It can be charged with a USB, that I only use when I'm in a pinch.

  12. I love my Cloupor Minis... I have several of them in 30W size and they are very reliable, rugged, and portable (small). They are roughly the size of two 18650 batteries side-by-side, but they only use one, obviously. You can pick them up from several places online for under $30... 101Vape.com, VapeNW.com, GearBest.com, just to name a few. They also have the 50W-TC version out called Mini-plus, which is the same size as the 30W mini. Another great small device is the Wismec Presa 40W or 40W-TC... they are smaller than the Cloupor and have a built-in 2600mAh battery. I have 3 of these as well, and they have been VERY reliable workhorses for the past few months! They run from $28-33 for the standard, and $36-42 for the TC version.

  13. Silica Wick you need to by online, the Japanese Cotton Pads are also on online buy. "Sallies Hair Supply" may have them, but not sure

  14. You can use 100% cotton, but it will give a odd flavor and is treated with chems you don't want to vape. Organic is cleaner and in most cases whitened with peroxide only. The Organic cotton pads are natural and not whitened. That coil is about 1 week old. Not sure what you mean by buying it or order it... No, this is a stock coil I did not alter it (Fray the ends). I want to add too that cotton balls do not wick well. The pads are far better at wicking.
