    Wismec Presa 40W

I received my Wismec Presa today from GearBest, and first look is impressive! I got the silver one (anodized Aluminum) rather than the black powder-coat, because I hoped it would not fade or chip color as badly. Nice packaging, battery arrived fully charged, and the APV included a very long USB charging cable (standard micro-USB) and an eGo adapter so you can use eGo threaded tanks. The unit has a built-in battery (2600mAh), goes up to 40W (or 10V) in 0.1W increments. It is switchable from VW to VV, and the screen flips to read from the left or right (a nice feature). The adjustment buttons are easy to reach and operate, yet their placement makes it very difficult to accidentally press them as you use it. The buttons as well as the fire-button are also lockable so you cannot adjust or press the fire button without unlocking. There is also a spring-loaded 510-pin, which so far has connected perfectly with all of my tanks. The battery also (supposedly) fires coils down to 0.2 Ohm, which will be tested with my Arctic Tank. The only thing I've not been overly impressed with (out of the box) is the fire button is not perfectly smooth, but I think it may smooth-out as it is used? I'll be using this daily for a week or two to give it a real work-out and see how well the battery does and how long it lasts between charges. I'll also be using it with different tanks, including a sub-ohm tank (or two). Compared to my Cloupor (slightly taller than Cloupor, but same width and roughly same weight) With a full size Nautilus attached

    Help with VV and VW

Welcome Larry! Which iTaste battery are you using? What resistance coil are you using in your Nautilus? 10W may be perfect for your coil/juice combo, and your lack of throat hit may be the lower level of PG (40%) in your mix or the Nicotine level in your juice? PG (and Nicotine to an extent) give throat-hit. VG is what produces the majority of your vapor. At 60%, your VG content should be sufficient for a decent cloud. Bump up your Wattage a little, vape, repeat... once you get a slightly burnt taste, back the Wattage down 0.1-0.5W, and that should be the sweet-spot for your coil/juice combo. Everyone is different, and all battery/coil/tank/juice combos will be different, so you have to dial-in what works for YOU... there is no "perfect for everyone" spot

  4. There seems to be a pretty good availability of VTC4 and VTC5 cells on the market again. I try to only buy them from battery specific dealers. The VTC4 seems to hold a $2 premium over the 25R without a whole lot of benefits, except continuous discharge amp ratings. If you are keeping it in the 20A range the 25R is great, but the LG HG2 and the Samsung 30Q are edging it out with an extra 500mah, but they are usually $2.00 higher each. In the 25A to 30A range the VTC4 is king. It is a couple bucks higher than the other batteries out there, but it is probably the best in that range. Over 30A the LG HB6 seems to be the only one that is passing all of the tests. It only has 1500 mah though. I guess one good thing is they are cheap (around $5) My favorite battery shops lately are: Liion Wholesale (I have 4 on order here) illumn (I have ordered 12 since July) RTD Vapors (I have ordered 2 from them)
