  2. I was just looking.. that is the express kit no tank... and they are out of the blue HV mini. LOL Dang it all. Thanks for the links though always looking to save a buck two myself. The color was not a big deal but I did want the full kit.

  3. I own two TC mods. The Heatvape Invader Mini 50W is what I take with me to work because it's virtually indestructible, but it does have the pesky little trait of shutting itself off and returning to factory default settings at seemingly random intervals. It doesn't happen very often, but it does happen. The Kangxin Mini VF 50w operates in much the same fashion as the Invader Mini (minus the factory default reset quirk), but I don't go out with it much because I'm pretty sure (like most other box mods) that dropping it on a hard surface might kill it. Both are very affordable mods.

  4. Although I'm liking the Subtank mini and Russian 91% more and more, my all-time favorite is still the Custom Cisco Spec Hybrid HH.357 atomizer at 2.0 ohm, 100% PG Custom drip shield from Empire Mods 2.5" stainless steel pipe style drip tip Eleaf iStick 50W With way too many toys to choose from, this is still my favorite, dependable set up.

  5. Back on July 10, 2015, I was the winner of a Kangxin Mini VF 50W mod from GearBest in a random drawing right here on Vapor Talk. It arrived in my mailbox on July 23, 2015, and I really have enjoyed using it ever since. While it doesn't seem to be as rugged as my Heatvape Invader Mini 50W TC mod (nothing is), the Kangxin Mini VF doesn't appear to be plagued with the same circuitry problems as the Invader Mini...it doesn't occasionally reset to factory default settings after shutting itself off, and although it does go to "sleep" after not using it for a while, it only requires a single click of the fire button to re-awaken itself. Everything you expect from a good-quality mod is here, too. The Kangxin Mini VF sports a spring-loaded 510 connection, a USB port to charge your single 18650 battery (not included), responsive fire & control buttons that don't rattle, and...wait for it...an LED flashlight! Well, you might not have expected a flashlight from a good-quality mod, but like it or not, the Mini VF has one, and it works quite well. At under $40, I have to say that GearBest definitely has a winner with the Kangxin Mini VF 50W, and it would be the first one I'd recommend to vapers in search of a good temperature control mod.

  6. Ooh....I'm looking for another temp control mod. Don't get me wrong, I love my Heatvape too, but I've been wanting another back up and maybe one that's not so beefy as the invader mini. This might be the ticket....

  7. I'll just toss in my 2 cents worth. prob has nothing to do with the iStick 50. Most likely it has to do with the design. I'm not familiar with all those tanks but when you're talking about heat, you're talking about heat transfer. So, proximity of the coil to the posts, size of the chamber, heat sink properties of the coil housing, insulator thickness, length of coil legs - there are quite a few factors involved. The design differences could be pretty small but could still add up to higher heat transfer, enough to cause a significant difference between tanks. Especially when you chain vape. Coils retain a lot of heat. When you chain vape, the heat convection just carries on and builds up. Frankly, I don't know how you get 28 watts on a .5 coil. I burn up a .5 pretty fast over 25w. Sweet spot for me is like 18 - 22, something like that. 28w is pretty hot to begin with.

  9. LOTS! I'm giving away many of my other back ups so I really don't have as many as it may seem. There will be a few iStick 50w that will also be finding new homes.

    Just saying Hi

I am. As of today's vape mail, I have nine of these things. Can you tell I like them? So far, of the five I've been using every day, I've not had one auto-fire and the threads on my tanks are all fine. There is one Kanger subtank mini, one authentic Russian 91% version 2, and one Anyvape Davide full-sized with an Aerotank airflow control on three of them. One is charging at the moment and the other one has a Custom Cisco Hybrid HH.357 atomizer on it. That said, when I charge them, I never leave them to charge unattended. Tanks or atomizers are all taken off and the iStick is turned off first. With everything I use, I clean the connection to keep it clean and dry frequently and/or when I change tanks or refill, etc.

    E liquid question.

I guess I should be throwing out TFA testing as my barometer for DIY, and anyone who uses them for their juices. How do I know they are truthful, valid form of testing, etc. Kidding aside, I am more concerned about coming taxes, and licensing fees imposed on anyone selling vape related products. Who knows, some of the favorite places I buy from may not be in business for long. I accept some level of diketone exposure. But nice to know there are places that are dike free (if true), or show how much they have in it. So I can choose when and how much to indulge. just like how I watch what eat, but pig out once in awhile.

  13. I chain vape my subtank mini but I'm using a 1.5 ohm stock coil right now, 12 watts with airway mostly restricted on my iStick 50W and the tank doesn't get hot at all. All I get is flavor and lots of vapor.

  14. I personally vote for the ipv d2. I really like mine. It is nearly as small as an iStick, but has a removable 18650 and 75 watts. (in power mode). That being said here is my next big expense (if I will quit spending) I think I will get a Cloudmaker I like the fact you can use 2 18650's or the Lipo, and DNA 200 or YiHi sx350J. It is a sweet rig! Truth be told...$200 vs $50 for another D2....I will probably get another D2. One thing I have learned about the DNA200 is the use of the new 900mah lipo's. They are 11.1V 3C cells. If I read everything correctly (I have not looked too deep myself), the cell is good for 23 amps, and using it on the DNA200 (at much lower voltages) it is supposed to have the equivalent of nearly 2700mah if you directly compared it to 18650's. I have not looked up the conversions myself. Ok, couldn't stand it: Wh = mAh × V / 1000 so, 900mah @ 11.1v = 9.99Wh 9.99Wh @ 3.7v = 2700mah

    E liquid question.

I used to think that Nicoticket's Custard's Last Stand was the very best custard out there until I tried Clockwerks Custard by Vaping Watch. They're both very good but I think Clockwerks Custard gets my vote and their customer service is most excellent!
