I will tell you exactly what you did, you burned out the coil and now every hit will taste like crap and burn because you are now taking in one part vapor and 3 parts burned up coil. Change your coil, clean your tank real well and try it at 26 watts to start see how that hits then go up slowly to about 36 watts and see. I bet you around 28 or a little higher will taste better. And for the future just because your box can go to 50watts doesn't mean you should. Also your occ coil may be rated for 50 watts max like they say 30-50watts on the coil. Every time I had a coil say that the higher wattage will burn it out, stick with the lower end of the recommend wattage for the coil. Hope this helps3 points

Picked up a new Kanger Subtank mini today with a pack of there nickel coils, the Occ ones seem decent. To my surprise with the new ones they are coming with the vertical occ coils, but the big surprise was the RBA, that now has the holes drilled direct from Kanger now, I figured I would share since I seen the video in this thread showing how the older ones can be modded by drilling with a dremal. Guess Kangertech listened. Took a photo to show you guys2 points

The Cloud Company - Full line
jasonculp reacted to Adversarious1 for a topic
This post is part one of a two part review. Part two will be posted in this thread later this week. Cloud Company is a new line from the makers of Suicide Bunny e-liquids. Before I go further, it should be noted that Suicide Bunny has been the primary focus of having liquids containing high levels of diacetyl. I won't go into too many details except to say diacetyl is an organic compound that naturally occurs as a byproduct of fermentation. There is evidence (not from electronic cigarette use) that links diacetyl to a lung disease known as Bronchiolitis obliterans or "popcorn lung". It has been determined to be an avoidable risk in the manufacture of e-liquids. It should be noted that not all Suicide Bunny e-liquids were found to contain diacetyl and Suicide Bunny was not the only e-liquid manufacturer whose products were found to contain diacetyl. As was mentioned elsewhere here in the forums, Suicide Bunny seemed to take the brunt of the exposure and was essentially the "scapegoat". The debate continues, but currently there is no evidence Suicide Bunny still contains diacetyl in large amounts and there is no evidence any of its offspring (to include The Cloud Company and King's Crown) has ever contained diacetyl. Now…on to the review. I received the full line of The Cloud Company liquids at no charge directly from Suicide Bunny. There are four liquids in this line. This will be part one of a two part review of the line and will focus on the first two of the four liquids I vaped. The second part of the review will come later this week after I have a chance to sample the other two flavors. Keep in mind these are my personal experiences with these liquids. Everybody has different tastes and preferences and what I may like does not mean the next person will like it (and vice versa). Cloud Company liquids, as the name sort of suggests, is marketed toward "cloud chasers". The liquids are all "Max VG". I'm sure each individual liquid has a slightly different PG/VG ratio depending on the amount of flavoring used in the recipes and whether that flavoring is PG based or VG based. All four liquids are available in 0, 3, 6 and 9mg nicotine strengths and, from what I have been able to tell, are available in 30ml and 60ml bottles (although the samples I received are 15ml bottles). Both flavors in this review were vaped on a Mutation X v4 with a basic dual coil of 24g kanthal, 7 wraps each around a 2.5mm screwdriver and measuring at 0.3 ohms. The coil was wicked with organic Japanese cotton. I re-wicked and cleaned the atty and coils between flavors to prevent cross-contamination of flavors. The first liquid from the line that I sampled is called Arise. The description, according to the Suicide Bunny website: Birthed by the much-loved Mothers Milk, this twist on the original maximizes smoothness and VG for great performance and flavor, cloud after cloud. This didn't really tell me a whole lot by itself, so I took look at the description of Mother's Milk to get an idea of what it might actually taste like. I also checked a couple of online retailers for a flavor profile and was met with the same basic description. Essentially, it is supposed to be a "cream and strawberry" type of flavor, but that isn't what I got at all. Maybe my taste buds were fooling me or maybe the description is way off base. I got a strong sense of banana and a little bit of cream on inhale, with just a slight hint...and I mean very slight hint...of strawberry on exhale. I like bananas, cream and strawberries, but this one just didn't "do it" for me. Will I vape the rest of the bottle? Probably not. It isn't horrible tasting, but it isn't the best "bananas, cream and strawberries" or even "cream and strawberries" high VG e-liquid I've tasted. Purely from a "cloud" standpoint, the vapor production from this juice was exactly what I would expect from a max VG liquid being vaped on an RDA with a 0.3 ohm build. Thick, billowy clouds hit after hit. Although I am not a "cloud chaser" per se, I do like big clouds in the privacy of my "mancave" and I like my high VG liquids. I certainly was not disappointed in the vapor production. My score – 6.5 (out of 10), and that is based purely on flavor. It just doesn't seem to deliver. I expect flavors to be somewhat subdued in a "max VG" liquid, but to my taste buds, this flavor was way off base from what was described. The second Cloud Company flavor I tried was Sky. The description, according to the Suicide Bunny website: This blend of savory, lemon cookie served with rich, sweet, creams are layered to provide a smooth experience. At least I didn't have to go searching elsewhere to find out what this flavor is supposed to taste like. Unlike my experience with Arise, this one actually resembled what was described, although to my taste buds, it was more of a shortbread cookie with a dollop of cream and underlying lemon tones. The flavor was consistent from inhale through exhale. The flavors are there, they just didn't seem to hit my taste buds in the order I expected based on the description. Someone else, however, could very well find the lemon overwhelming and not even sense the cream or cookie. I will most likely vape the rest of the bottle. In spite of my taste buds not necessarily agreeing with the flavor profile, I did enjoy it. Will I go out and buy it again? Probably not. Even though I did enjoy it, bakery type flavors typically aren't my thing. Again, the vapor production did not disappoint. In fact, I seemed to be getting slightly thicker clouds from "Sky" than with "Arise". I would venture to say that is likely because this particular recipe calls for a smaller percentage of non-VG flavorings, thus allowing them to "max" out the VG even more. My score – 8 (out of 10). Overall I enjoyed it. It was pleasant and consistent throughout. Part two of this review will be along later this week.1 point -
Noob question: MVP 3.0 Pro - iSub tank weird noise

Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping. That sound is completely normal. You may experience times when the "popping" sound is more pronounced, or you may experience times when it is less pronounced, but in any event, nothing to worry about.1 point -

Sounds normal... that's the sound of juice being vaporized... you can hear it more as the air-hole sizes increase, and sometimes the sound can really get loud because the air-hole is the perfect resonator (amplifies the sound's resonance frequency).1 point -

Sounds totally normal to me. welcome to sub ohm (coils rated lower than 1 ohm). They like to sing! thats the sound of juice cooking on the coil.1 point -
USA ohm meter is great. I have one of their most basic one but their 3D Fire Meter is a much better platform for coil building. Coil Master is another alternative I am considering.1 point

If you're really worried about it, Wal-mart, Target, Walgreens, Rite-Aid, and other pharmacies in your local area sell test-kits, much like pregnancy tests (which you pee on, or dip a test stick into a cup of pee), which will test the levels of Nicotine/Cotinine found in your urine. Some simple kits only show "positive" if you are above a specific level, usually 200 ng, but test kits vary on level they test for, and their accuracy. The TobacAlert kit tests by "range", from 0 ng up to 1000+ ng of Nicotine. Considering a whole tomato can have 50-100 ng of Nicotine and a whole eggplant can have between 80-200 ng of Nicotine, the level pre-employment tests or school tests will look for are generally 200 ng or lower in your system to determine you as a non-user or non-exposure, but again, that will depend on the business/school requirements and testing facility. Someone exposed to second-hand smokers all day long can have levels as high as 500 ng or higher in their system (and never actually smoked a day in their lives). Generally, to be considered a "user" of Nicotine (cigarettes, dip, chew, snuff, cigars, pipe), levels in your test would be 500+ ng-ml. Pee tests are generally accurate to determine if you regularly use or are exposed to Nicotine. Blood tests and hair tests are considered more accurate, but are also much more expensive. Nicotine is also fully removed from your system in 3-5 days if you are a "user" of Nicotine, but those exposed to passive Nicotine can sometimes take 15 days to fully eradicate Nicotine from their systems (seems odd, I know, but the data doesn't lie). Nicotine also has a half-life of 2-hours in the body, so a peak of 1000 ng right now, would show 500 ng in two hours, 250 ng in 4-hours, etc.. Cotinine has a half-life in the body of 15 hours, so if the test is looking for Cotinine, it will take 3-5 days for your levels to reach non-smoker ranges after your last analog or passive exposure. As you have been told above, 0% Nicotine e-liquids will not show up on any tests, but eating any fruit/vegetable or being around a smoker WILL show SOME Nicotine in your system... and this NORMAL! I regularly vape 6mg/ml juices, and I have taken a Nicotine pee-test... and the levels in my system were between 200-300 ng-ml, which could also be achieved by a non-vaper by eating a tomato and cucumber sandwich, baked-potato, and a big salad containing fresh spinach, romaine, broccoli, eggplant, and tomato! For reference, to be considered a non-smoker/user by my insurance company, levels of Nicotine and Cotinine must be below 500 ng-ml. My son's high school tests athletes for levels below 200 ng, but makes allowances to 500 ng if you have a smoker in the household.1 point -

Read the responses. I think it has been clearly stated that the fact you "do vape" with 0% nicotine isn't going to cause a positive test for nicotine. I guess I should mention that you should also avoid eating tomatoes, eggplant and several other fruits and vegetables for at least 72 hours prior to your urinalysis because there are more fruits and vegetables than I can remember that contain nicotine naturally. There is always a possibility trace amounts can/will be detected and that could very well cause a "false positive" and raise questions.1 point -

Your writing is always a joy to read. That said, you might set these two aside for a couple of weeks and then try them again. In my experience, with anything that has cream in it, it takes a few weeks for the flavors to "ripen" and come through like it's supposed to. You might be pleasantly surprised. Great review, I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of the rest of the line.1 point -
if it is questionable as to if it is safe or not I chunk it and buy new ones.I don't want to risk messing up my pretty face1 point

I'm assuming you have a subox mini since its the only 50w mod Kanger makes. The horizon factory coils are 1.2, .5, .2, I'm also assuming you are not using the .2ohm coil, since that mod is not supposed to fire below .3 ohms. .5ohms @ 50w = 5v 30w = 3.8v 1.2ohms @ 50w = 7.75v 30w = 6v Hopefully you are not using the 1.2 coil, if you are using the .5 coil you are probably using too many watts, turn it back down to 30 watts or lower.1 point

You said, in an earlier post, that you're using a Triton with a factory coil (1.8ohms) and vaping at 12 watts. I'm using a 1.8 ohm coil with a juice that likes heat but I'm finding that 9.7 watts is more than enough. Any higher and I get cotton mouth and a harsher vape. Maybe you could lower the watts you're using to see if that helps? I would start at around 7 watts, vape. If it's not producing the flavor and vapor you like, turn it up a couple of notches. Vape. Continue that until you get the first hint of harsh vape or a slight burnt taste, then turn it down a notch. That should be the sweet spot for your juice.1 point
