They never believe we're serious about the back ups... until they run out and find they have a real need for them. Then, it's all, "I thought you were kidding about the back ups thing but... I'm going to go get some now!" When you get a chance, also get another battery, another tank, another charger, and some extra juice. You'll never be sorry you did.2 points -

The EVOD has a glass version now. It still has aluminum exterior, but the inside tank is glass. It also comes with a removable drip tip that is metal, not plastic. It is much easier to clean now that the top comes off.1 point

I actually agree with you. I would kill for a nice upgrade to a simple tank/coil combo like the kpt or divide. I use them all the time and was surprised when SV stopped carrying them (i've used SV for over 2 years myself with only an occasional venture to another vendor). I can't believe the kpt mini is being phased out. Where to go? Back to evod? No way. I hate plastic now, lol. Love the performance of the nautilus but don't like the high coil cost. There HAS to be a market for the simple tank/coil combo. Part of it may be I haven't researched it enough. Temp Control is here to stay. It will become simpler and more standard bit that's a ways off.1 point -

I like that idea. Perhaps just "1 to 10"...or a "Spinal Tap" version that will go all the way to 11. You didn't leave that impression. I'm a nerd too. The may be "TMI", but instead of magazines, I keep things like computer programming manuals in the bathroom for "reading material"...lol. I was mostly concerned that others would assume Joules were the same as watts and treat them interchangeably. (In fact, it isn't very difficult at all to find numerous reviews on Youtube where the reviewer is treating Joules exactly that way.) That may very well be the intent of YiHi, but if that is their intent, it is very misleading. A very simple way to begin to understand Joules is to use the analogy of a water hose. You are going to get more water to flow per second and with less effort by using a 3 inch hose vs a 1 inch hose. The same principle applies to Joules - higher settings will allow you to achieve the desired temperature more efficiently.1 point -

If VaporDNA's page is correct, you can also use Sense Herakles, and Eleaf MELO coils. It might help someone if they get into a bind! I currently use a Project Sub-Ohm SauceCode. They don't have Ni200 coils for temp control, so I use the Sense Herkales coils and couldn't be more pleased. I am really liking this cross compatibility. It makes it handy being able to buy them from many different stores. I guess if you are looking for the ultimate cross compatibility the Morph Tank by EHPRO & Eciggity is the ultimate. It uses Atlantis, Delta II, and SubTank coils along with an RBA. I have not tried it yet. Back on topic...lol Great service and selection at Sweet-Vapes I will be picking up a Smok TFV4 Tank as soon as funds allow!1 point -
Yeah, a thick wide rubber band around the glass use it to get friction on the glass side. A post it note works well too. Wrap the glass sticky side down and use the paper to get a grip. Usually if you get a good grip on the glass you're home free. If you need to, use small pliers around the base but usually just a paper towel is enough to get a hold on the base. Watch out for glass though.1 point

Kanger Subtank mini vs Aspire Triton
starrelabelletxlady reacted to Tam for a topic
I'm one of those who are hoping the first Triton was just a faulty tank. When it worked, it gave off the most amazing flavor and performance. The top fill was really convenient too. My fingers are crossed that this replacement will rock my world.1 point -

Their Dragon's Tear is good but you need to let it age for several weeks before the creamy flavor comes through. Also, the chocolate malt (the first flavor I ever tried from them) is really good, especially with extra flavoring. There are so many good flavors from them that I've tried. You just have to go to their site and go a little nuts. They sell 5 ml bottles for $2.50 each so it's easy to try a lot of different flavors without breaking the bank.1 point -

Brian - knowing what you like I would probably recommend the kpt mini 3 or the mini nautilus. You'll pay a little more for coils but you'll get a little better performance and a more similar draw to the mini davides. You may find the sub tank a little too fussy.1 point -

Hmmm, maybe the Aerotank? I have the version 1 and it works perfectly with the KPT single coil. @Earthling789 He loves the version 2 Aerotank. Maybe he can shed some light into if these can be used with a single coil? B might switch to those?1 point

You didn't "misspoke" at all, Jason. For the longest time I wasn't happy with the Subtank mini, so much so that I was thinking of giving it away. After reading about how other members really liked them, I finally gave in and started fiddling with all the settings until I finally found something that works for me. Most of all, I had to relearn how I drew from it and get the airflow just right with the right amount of wattage. With my extra long drip tip (I prefer a cooler vape), the airflow halfway closed down, taking two quick, fast draws to prime the coil and then a longer one like I usually do... and it's workable. I'm starting to like it. Finally.1 point -
I am really interested in DIY. I just don't see myself making a hobby out of it. I am just not adventurous enough. I have tried all kinds of juice from all over the internet and every vape shop in the Panhandle and West of the DFW area. I have only found 7 juices that I can vape, and only 1 of those can I stand for more than just a few minutes. I am very strange. The only juice I like have many different flavors. I can never tell you what any of them taste like. I know my ADV has like 15 different fruit flavors or something like that. I have never been able to vape single flavors at all with the exception of coffee. I only found 2 coffee flavors I like. I have very little faith in me being able to make anything I like. I do want to try to come up with enough stuff in the event the government makes it impossible to vape. If Texas goes the way of Arkansas, I will be in trouble. There are some local shops, but none have anything I like. I tried my old ADV from before I got mine from Comp, and it tasted terrible to me.1 point

Yea I knew that but what is BCC? Im just sick of everything I like getting replaced by more complicated more expensive ****. Maybe I am just at the point I need to try to just quit all together, start stepping down nicotine etc... It wont be long and the savings that keep me going with the whole Vaping thing will start evaporating. I have never spent more than $15 on a tank. The largest single vaping item I have bought are these ISticks that were $50. Before that I only used Vision Spinners and was completely happy with those but the battery life of the 50w sold me. I feel like if I ever did go to a B&M I would have to shop in the clearance section, Money is not the issue at all, but I want what I want lol. I think I am gonna e-mail Eric at DV and ask of I buy 12 of the last 42 in existence and they are not the same as the ones I have now if I can return them lol.1 point -

I was going to tell you to read the rest of the thread when you posted again. Unfortunately, I had some problems with the juice flow controller (as did quite a few other people), otherwise, when it worked, it really was the perfect tank. Kidney Puncher, the place I got mine from were wonderful. They had me send it back and are sending me another to see if this one will work better for me. In the mean time I got the RBA in the mail yesterday, it was a pre-order item at the time. Now, I'm just going to wait for my new Triton to get here and will update shortly after.1 point -
absolutely, and they are all appreciated greatly, Dragongunner, Bush, Rich, and a bunch of others - it's a good group. Sometimes I wish people would just say goodbye so we could wish them well...lol. But more likely they'll just drop in and say hi when they can....1 point

I got mine from 101 yesterday too but was not expecting it. I forgot that I had pre-ordered from them too.Mine did come with the sleeve (not shown) but it is a PitA to remove and put it back on when swapping cells. I like the surprising heft to it's weight - solidly built. Smok TFV4 Kit is wonderful though. All my tanks are now dead to me (sort of ). The coils and RBA are huge... easy to build on but still on the triple coil and have not tried building anything yet. Surprisingly no overhang on D2 but there is a slight overhang on IPV4.1 point -

Help
starrelabelletxlady reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
Thanks for the reply. 6mg is probably not the issue causing the cough, since you were a pack-a-day smoker, unless you were smoking ultra-lights and letting most of them burn in the ashtray. Things to try... Start with a fresh coil (I'd recommend the 1.2 Ohm coil) Start with your Wattage down around 8-10Wa Vape... if it is weak or very cool, bump up the Wattage in small increments... 0.1 - 0.5W Vape... repeat Once you start to get a slight burnt taste, back the Wattage down 0.1-0.5W That is what we call the sweet-spot for that juice and coil combo. There is no set-in-stone rule for X-Wattage, as every device and juice is different, as well as your tolerance levels. Another good trick is to start your intake of a little air before you hit the fire-button, and stop firing before you complete your draw. Another trick is to part your lips a little so you slip-stream a little air along with the vape. If you stopped smoking recently (less than 6 months), I would recommend an even higher Nicotine level and staying with a coil 1.2 Ohms or higher... it will help you through the cravings. 18mg and a 1.5 Ohm coil did the trick for me, and I was nearly a 2-pack-a-day smoker for 30+ years. I'm running 6mg now, and I've been vaping for nearly 18-months.... but nothing says you MUST lower nicotine levels... that's your choice to do so Sub-ohming is not for everyone... so don't feel you have to keep up with the neighbors and only using the 0.2 or 0.5 Ohm coils. Personally, I can't stand anything below 0.8 Ohm... too hot/harsh for my tastes. Lastly... drink LOTS of water... vaping drys you out, and a lot of the cough can simply be caused by a dry throat/mouth. Coffee, tea, beer, cola... not the solution... water is the ONLY way to go!1 point -
Help
starrelabelletxlady reacted to Kevo88 for a topic
If you are using the 0.5 ohm coil, I would suggest trying to do a direct to lung draw instead of a mouth to lung draw. If it is still a bit too much, switch it out to the included 1.5 ohm coil and turn the wattage way down. You can start around 10 or so watts with that coil.1 point -

If the VaporTalk store doesn't have it, I order it from Sweet-Vapes 100% of the time. I am referring to hardware, not liquids however. Not a huge fan of the flavors I have tried. I will say I have never gotten anything from them that is not authentic and Dayna has always answered my questions and concerns in a very professional way.1 point
