I want the same light headedness/high of a Hookah
Compenstine and 2 others reacted to Bebop for a topic
sorry to abandon you like that. Hit a busy spell.... ok, I'm a little uncomfortable trying to help you get "high" lol. But here's the deal: vaping or vaporizing liquid is not like smoking. Hookah is smoking. In vaping there is no combustion. There is no smoke. So you don't have the chemical properties associated with combustion and you don't have the tars and other particulates you have with smoking. In short, I think you're going to be hard pressed to get that feeling from vaping. besides, it's not good for you man. Your body and your brain need oxygen. To deprive yourself of that is not a good idea. It probably won't kill you right away but over time, not good. Not something I recommend getting in to. Honestly, I just don't think vaping is for you. I hear ya', Bebop. I dig TC, too. I've been vaping my ADV in an eGo ONE 1.8ml tank with the same wick and coil in it for over a month now (trying to see how long I can actually vape on it before it starts tasting bad) and it still tastes and performs great. I can't even tell you how many times I've completely drained the tank by accident, but I never once got a throat-burning dry hit. Amazing.2 points -

I am still diggin' TC. this morning I was vaping away and I wasn't quite getting the vapor I was expecting. As I was taking apart the STmini I was thinking 'when did I rebuild this last?'. I couldn't remember, lol. It's literally been that long. This thing has been chugging away for weeks and weeks. No surprise, the coil showed some gunk, more so than usual but I have been vamping tank after tank of one of my sweeter darker juices in it. I pulled it apart, the wick easily slid out of the coil. I brushed off the crud. I wasn't in a place where I could build a new coil. It cleaned up pretty well, not perfect but nicely. Threw a fresh wad of cotton in her and reloaded. Bam, good as new. Fresh taste, great vapor. Back in business in a couple minutes. I'm still really impressed with the performance of these coils. Usually, you know, you vape a week and you gotta rebuild. I'll probably let this one go another while then maybe put in a new coil in a week or two, if I get ambitious, lol. Might even try one of those verticals. 'Course, I will be getting my new RBA bases here pretty soon so I'm sure I'll build 'em up right away. i have no complaints about TC.2 points -

I gotta say, of all the things I have come to love about the Vapor Talk community, hi-jacked threads are at the top of the list2 points -
Hookah is a marinated tobacco product. Flavored tobacco. The "high" is oxygen deprivation (lots more CO2) and chemical inhalation. Probably comparable to cigs in chemicals and depending on the method, more CO2. (carbon dioxide). Anyone who has smoked non filters knows this "high"....2 points

Dry hit? What's that? I just checked based on my old posts the last time I built a new coil was July 3rd. And that coil is not the one I re wicked this morning. So this coil went a minimum of 5 weeks and probably more like 6 weeks before I changed the wick. The only thing I noticed was a slight drop in vapor and flavor, nothing like a burnt taste or a fail.1 point -
You guys are too funny....But I don't do hookah often, I just liked to idea of possibly having a small portable instead of having to do the big one . And maybe high is the wrong word to use.1 point

Oregon has strange liquor laws too. All the liquor stores here are owned by the state, and in order to sell liquor in bars they also have to serve food, most people don't buy the food but the law says it has to be available. Beer and wine can be bought in any grocery store or convenience store. I guess logic and government can't be used in the same sentence.1 point -

In 2010 I got the 2009 Chevy Impala to replace my beloved '94 Pontiac Grand Prix. Loved the Grand Prix but it was starting to nickel and dime me to distraction. Insurance totaled it out after a major hail storm made it look like swiss cheese but it still kept running, just had to replace the windshield. Still miss driving it, it was so much fun. My Impala is a joy to drive too, it just doesn't have the oomph that the Grand Prix did. These days any vehicle with a manual transmission is pretty much safe from getting stolen as so many people can't drive a stick. Our 2000 S10 is fun to drive and it gives me something to do (get to be an active driver) instead of a lump behind the wheel.1 point -

Kudo's BirdDog! I'll never own another "new" car... only those "new to me" And, I'll limit my expenditures to $2500... if I can't buy a decent car for that, I won't buy it!! I love not having a car payment, love not having higher insurance premiums, and love cheaper registration costs... My 2008 Fusion has 185K on the odometer, and in the worst shape (slipping tranny, bubbling dashboard, door handles, paint fading/chipping/rust) of all the cars in my driveway. The rest of my fleet: 1993 Ford Probe SE - 124K (zero issues, like new) 1994 Ford Probe SE - 149K (minor fender ding and clear-coat failure on hood) 1996 Ford Probe GT - Mazada engine swap, 40K, needs re-painted, but only due to clear-coat failure 2005 Chevy Freelander - 110K, the whole thing is falling apart... cheap interior, motor is the only good thing about it 2002 Hyundai Elantra - 275K, and still going strong... has some rust in the fenders, but everything works on it 1974 VW Beetle - 86K, floor pans rusty, but runs like a new one 1969 Ford F250 - 24K on factory rebuilt 390 modified, rust in bed, but will go anywhere, anytime! Plus, 3 Honda street-bikes, which are ridden regularly... Insurance on all of them is dirt-cheap... I pay more for tags/registration every year than I pay for 3 or 4-months of insurance... My family thinks I'm crazy for having all these in the driveway, but you never have to worry about that to drive when one needs a repair, repairs are cheap (and I do them myself), and when a family member needs to borrow a vehicle... guess where they come first?1 point -
Cleaned coils
Tam reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
I've not had any luck with dry-burning KPT coils either... even in short bursts... they either pop, or they just don't taste right. Since I've bought them in bulk, even my dual-coils were only ~ $0.60 each, so I just toss them into my rebuild-box, and when I'm really bored I rebuild a few of them at a time, but I'd have no issues just tossing them either because they are cheap enough. I was using cheap Vodka to soak coils and tanks, but I found the local liquor store sells EverClear for the same price as their cheapest Vodka, so I've been using that, and it "cleans" better, with less residue... it makes a tank sparkle (after a good wash), and fully removes old juice flavors, too!1 point -
