  1. Well, it is that way in the US too... most any convenience store or gas station... even my local video store / tanning salon has 650mAh eGo batteries packaged with a Ce4 and USB charger, and prices range from $7.99 - $11.99, depending on brand, color, etc. Most shops also give you a free 10ml bottle of juice with a starter-kit purchase. I'm not sure about prices in the UK, but $12 here is the cost of 2-3 packs, again, depending on where you're located. Most cig-a-like cartos only hold 0.5-1.0 ml of juice, so a 10ml bottle of e-liquid is the equivalent of 10-20 cig-a-likes... yet another thing to consider...

  2. Comp! You've done it again! holy cow, this is one of the best juices I have ever vaped. I can't believe I waited this long to try it. I'm dripping Max VG 4mg on my Doge X2 with a dual coil .5 ohm build at about 45watts. I can not put this down. It's fantastic. Smooth and flavorful with a perfect balance of peanut butter and fudge with a bakery edge. Outstanding, natural flavors. I love the fact that this juice is nearly clear with only a slight light amber tint. Its a winner! Thanks Comp

  5. My question would be... why does it matter? If you enjoy yourself, that's what's important.

  6. That's actually what I was asking... what is everyone's sweet spot., like you just said, everyone have a different one...I wasn't asking what is the optimal settings for a vaporizer.... never mind...

  7. Tam was right in my case..my tank stopped working with my battery, but both pieces worked with another brand (evod tank worked with different battery, and evod battery worked with different tank, but both evod battery & tank wouldn't work together).. I was so frustrated but finally found this post online and watched the video tam posted--SAVED my tank and battery from being chucked lol..so THANKYOU tam and vaportalk!

  8. Try pairing it with a Guinness or a Newcastle or any other good stout or ale, Bebop. I swear that is an absolutely fantastic vape pairing - PBFB with a good quality stout or ale for the ultimate "dessert vaping" experience. Personal recommendation is to just order it at max VG without anything extra. Comp's blend is good to go as is.

  9. What you do essentially is the technical way of doing it. Finding the sweet spot is the technical part. The method you use, whether it is knowing a general wattage/voltage you want to set your device at to start based on the particular coil in your atty, ratio of PG to VG, particular flavor, etc. then adjusting up or down or simply doing it trial and error method are both technical methods for finding your sweet spot. As others have already alluded to, how you get to that "sweet spot" and where your "sweet spot" ends up being have nothing to do with whether you get a "sweet hit" on your tongue, per se...although for some a sweet hit on their tongue may be part of their personal "sweet spot". Finding the sweet spot is all about figuring out what settings you need to set your device at to deliver the most enjoyable experience based on the combination of everything involved. Like everything else with vaping, everybody is going to have a different sweet spot and everybody is going to have a different method of finding that sweet spot. Not only that, it is entirely possible for two people to vape the same liquid from the same bottle on the same device and have two completely different sweet spots for that particular liquid.

  10. There are a ton of quality vape shops in and around LA. Depending on where you are specifically, there area also a ton of quality shops in and around Orange County and the Inland Empire. You would likely notice a huge difference even with one of the gas station starter kits than what you get compared to a disposable cig-a-like. The draw on almost all cig-a-likes is very tight. I have no idea how the cig-a-like manufacturers measure the liquids they put in their products. I do know that a couple (maybe more) essentially state their products contain "approximately X amount of nicotine". In other words, if you get something that is supposed to be equal to 24mg nicotine, then it will be "approximately" that much. The Non-Big-Tobacco associated e-liquid manufacturers, i.e. all of them, take a lot of care in making their liquids. They precisely measure everything when making a batch of liquid. PG, VG, flavorings and nicotine. All of it is precisely measured to provide a consistent product every time.

  12. I would personally put it pretty high on my list. It isn't a total necessity, but it is very convenient. I rotate 8 batteries in my electronic mods. This not only spreads the load out between many batteries, but it is another form of backups. It is also nice when one runs down, to just pop in another and keep vaping. The chargers are much more sophisticated and safer than the onboard one. Here is the charger I recommend: Nitecore i4 Intellicharger Here are some good batteries that are not too expensive: 18650 Samsung INR18650-25R or 18650 LG 18650HE2 Dang, I am a bit slow today Earthling!

Flavor is very important but so is the draw - for me. I'm mouth to lung so I like a little bit of resistance in the draw, wide open doesn't work for me unless I'm doing direct lung hits, which I don't like. So far, the Subtank with a 1.5 ohm coil is giving me lots of vapor with the kind of draw I prefer. The flavor, however, is a little muted so I'm playing around with the air flow to see where it works best. The Triton can use a 1.8 ohm coil, which I also ordered so I'm interested in how that will work. The Sub Tank came with a .5 and a 1.2 ohm coil. Both of those were way too hot for me, a cool to slightly warm vape is where my sweet spot is. In another post you said you have variable voltage batteries. Do you have any variable wattage? I think you'll need/want something a little more powerful than a Spinner, EVOD or other variable voltage pen style for the Sub Tank or Triton. I'm using the Eleaf iStick 50W at 15W with the 1.5 ohm coil right now.

    Help

The K-box only has indicator lights, so I'll assume it is a sub-box-mini? If the box itself is getting hot when you insert the battery, the system is likely shorting out, or the chip-set is defective. They should not get hot! Does it get hot with the tank OFF of the box? If so, it is definitely a box malfunction. What kind of battery are you using? (brand, mAh, Amp-rating, etc)

Not in my experience it's not. The subtank with a 1.5 ohm coil with the air flow at half way is... closer but no cigar. There's an Aspire Triton on its way to me now, I'm hoping that will be closer. The HH.357s that I use are around $20 each. They last a few months with proper cleaning and care but the one I use for light, fruit juices is over a year old now. Wait a bit on the subtank. I've got one now that I'm playing with. So far, in my experience, it's close to dripping but not quite there. The Aspire Triton is on its way. Depending on how that works, you might want it instead.

  20. Cig-a-likes are the MOST expensive option for vaping also. They last about a day of vaping, and run upwards of $6-7 each (when purchased in singles), which is far more expensive than a pack of smokes (unless you're in NYC or CA). From the White Cloud website... Fling disposables cost (before taxes, or shipping if ordered online): $5.95 for a single $24.95 for a five-pack ($4.99 each) $325.00 for a 100-pack variety selection of 20 each of the five primary flavors ($3.25 each) - which are designed for retail sales, not for personal use To get pricing equivalent to a pack-a-day smoking, you'd have to buy them in 100-packs, and any of us on this forum can tell you that $325 will set you up with a fantastic system, with back-ups, and enough juice and coils to keep you vaping for a year (possibly longer)... not the 100-days that disposables will... Basic economics wins every time... forget flavor, forget function, forget ease-of-use, forget durability, forget reliability, and forget customization to provide the best experience... disposables and most cig-a-likes are just just money-pits... and that's not just my opinion... that's pretty much the consensus on this forum (or any vaper that has successfully kicked the smoking habit).

  21. Not sure about a disposable. But if you are looking for something more Cig like, the VUSE is supposed to be good. The reviews are good and it seems affordable. The battery is rechargeable and you only need to replace the cartridges. The most basic we recommend are the Vision Spinner batteries or Kanger batteries. With simple tanks, like the EVOD. All parts are re-usable and you only need to purchase coils and liquid. Less waste with much better draw and flavor. Your other option is to buy a 501 rechargeable battery, more cig like, and blank cartomizers. You will have to fill the cartos, but it works well without the tight draw. You will still need to buy the liquid.

  22. That is the technical way to do it... I use a more simple system. I keep changing the power to I get a nice sweet hit in my tongue, then I know I hit the right.setting for that e-liquid, is becoming a familiar moment..is a nice sweet hit that lets me know that I'm there.

Trouble is warning signs usually cannot be acted on. With the freedoms we enjoy in this country usually a crime has to be committed before the police can act. It will remain that way unless we give up some of our rights which I am not willing to do.

Thanks, Kit! Most of those three years has been direct dripping thanks to you and Blucavvy. One year when I was in California around Halloween, someone asked if I was going to dress up, and if so, what would I be? I told them I was already dressed up: I was going as California's Stimulus package.
