  2. Comp! You've done it again! holy cow, this is one of the best juices I have ever vaped. I can't believe I waited this long to try it. I'm dripping Max VG 4mg on my Doge X2 with a dual coil .5 ohm build at about 45watts. I can not put this down. It's fantastic. Smooth and flavorful with a perfect balance of peanut butter and fudge with a bakery edge. Outstanding, natural flavors. I love the fact that this juice is nearly clear with only a slight light amber tint. Its a winner! Thanks Comp

  3. Cig-a-likes are the MOST expensive option for vaping also. They last about a day of vaping, and run upwards of $6-7 each (when purchased in singles), which is far more expensive than a pack of smokes (unless you're in NYC or CA). From the White Cloud website... Fling disposables cost (before taxes, or shipping if ordered online): $5.95 for a single $24.95 for a five-pack ($4.99 each) $325.00 for a 100-pack variety selection of 20 each of the five primary flavors ($3.25 each) - which are designed for retail sales, not for personal use To get pricing equivalent to a pack-a-day smoking, you'd have to buy them in 100-packs, and any of us on this forum can tell you that $325 will set you up with a fantastic system, with back-ups, and enough juice and coils to keep you vaping for a year (possibly longer)... not the 100-days that disposables will... Basic economics wins every time... forget flavor, forget function, forget ease-of-use, forget durability, forget reliability, and forget customization to provide the best experience... disposables and most cig-a-likes are just just money-pits... and that's not just my opinion... that's pretty much the consensus on this forum (or any vaper that has successfully kicked the smoking habit).

  4. Got my black iStick 50W and promptly put the blue flame wrap on it that came in the day before. Also in the package were two 5-packs fo 1.5 ohm coils for the Kanger Subtank mini.

  5. Tonight, I learned that carrying backups (spare 18650 battery) serves more than just for vaping. I was picking up my son at Boy Scout Camp tonight, and after the closing campfire we had to make our way to the "north-40" campsite to retrieve his gear. His flashlight battery was dead, and his spares were back at his campsite. I had my spare Samsung 25r battery in my backup/supply case, so we were able to illuminate the trails (with both of our flashlights) and make our way to the campsite and back to the parking lot without tripping over a tree root or bumping into a branch Just one more pragmatic reason to use CREE flashlights that operate on 18650 batteries!

  7. TugBoat, not trying to hijack your thread, but I figured there was no use in having 2 threads for the same topic. Got mine this morning, UPS said weather delays..... Opened up the box, and disassembled the tank as soon as it arrived. Noticed that the airflow base did not want to unscrew easily from the tank. Wiped the treads with a clean cloth and got a lot of black gunk. Proceeded to clean the threads with a qtip and alcohol, followed by a warm water rinse once the qtip was clean after a swab of the treads. Dried it with the wife's hair dryer, didn't want to wait for air dry. No big deal really, just needed to be cleaned. Swapped out the installed .5ohm coil for the 1.5 ohm, and tried to reassemble. No go, the threads wouldn't engage properly, swapped back to the .5 coil, same issue. Pulled the coil out and the tank threaded together fine. After messing with it for 10-15 min, I found that if I backed the coil out about 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn from tight it would screw together no problem. I am guessing that either the chimney or the airflow base isn't machined quite straight. No big deal as long as the juice doesn't leak past the o-ring under the coil, but not the highest quality control I have seen. Loaded the tank up with a 70VG/30PG juice, and let it sit for about 30 min as I forgot to wet the wick before filling. After an hour and a half or so driving around running my Saturday morning errands vaping this set up, I have to say I am quite impressed with the flavor and vapor production. It has better flavor than the Nautilus mini (different juice I admit, but the Nautilus doesn't seem to like the 70/30.) and has a thicker cloud. The flavor is just as good as with the Starre tank, but with a whole lot less cloud, running the same juice. Not really surprising going from .5 ohm at 35-40 watts to 1.5 ohm at 15 watts. After running up and down the scale from 10 to 25 watts and changing the airflow setting around quite a few times, I have settled on 15watts on the middle air flow. Higher watts on the big hole for airflow does make bigger clouds without tasting burnt, but I got this to try and find a happy middle with the cloud production between the Nautilus mini and my Starre subohm tank. This hit the nail on the head for that. I have not tried the RTA setup, and probably won't for some time unless someone comes and splits all my firewood for me. Overall after a couple hours of use, I'd give the subtank mini a 3.5 out of 5 stars due to the wonky fitment of the tank parts. And the subbox mini 4.75 out of 5, because the battery door is longer than the box itself (only .020"-.030") and I caught the longer edge on my pocket and knocked the cover off, and the ohm reading isn't spot on with the coil installed, showing 1.6 for the 1.5. Granted I have yet to personally see any box read perfect. Other than that the box works as advertised.

  9. I picked these up a pair of LG HE2 18650's yesterday from the local Walgreen's for $5 each, and finally unboxed them for charging a few minutes ago... I didn't realize Walgreen's carried them, but apparently some CPAP machines use 18650's as a battery-backup in case of power-outages (learn something new every day), so they began stocking them. I figured I could at least give them a good try, and from what I hear, they are as good and reliable as my Samsung 25r's, so I guess I'll find out soon enough? (I was too lazy to snap a picture of them, so I "borrowed" this one from Amazon, lol)

  10. If I'm enjoying myself so much, why would I need to find a support group to make me quit??? Drip tips are small, cheap (for the most part), and... out of sight, out of mind. The bigger hardware is a little more difficult to ignore. lol

Well after a week of smoking I recall why I switched to Vaping. Bleh!

  12. BCarter hit the nail on the head for finding your sweet-spot... Every juice has a sweet-spot, where flavor is perfect, and that will vary based on the tank (or RDA/RTA) it is in, the coil style, coil resistance, air-flow, PG/VG ratio, Nicotine-level, etc... 99% of the fun is trying to figure out the sweet-spot

  13. And, the nearly 300 drip-tips didn't give you a hint?

  14. Discovered something about the 1.5 vertical subtank coil, was refilling, and noticed the coil was getting a little gunked up, I ran a pipe cleaner down the center of it, and twisted it around a little, and now its clean again. It might extend the life of the coil if I do that every time I refill it.
