Bump Everytime You Buy Something New
starrelabelletxlady and 2 others reacted to Tam for a topic
Well, so much for my so-called vaping 'budget'. Just ordered an Aspire Triton with the optional RTA deck and two 5-packs of the 1.8 ohm coil from Kidney Puncher. *sighs* Earthling, I'm blaming YOU for getting me started on these RTAs. Still not sure if I like them or not.3 points -
Understanding the "Sweet Spot"
Tam and one other reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
BCarter hit the nail on the head for finding your sweet-spot... Every juice has a sweet-spot, where flavor is perfect, and that will vary based on the tank (or RDA/RTA) it is in, the coil style, coil resistance, air-flow, PG/VG ratio, Nicotine-level, etc... 99% of the fun is trying to figure out the sweet-spot2 points -

I am sure it is not a secret to anyone not living under a rock that an Islamic jihadist murdered 4 Marines and seriously injured a Naval Officer, a police officer and another Marine yesterday only about 75 miles from my home. Maybe this should be in "Rants" but since its news I am gonna post it here and throw a couple talking points out there. First what is it in the human condition that could make someone do this? Was it truly "for their religion" or was it something different? I mean in their religion they gain rewards in heaven for the act of killing infidels right? Is that just rhetoric or true? I am not very religious at all and do not understand. Is it mental illness and religion is just a scapegoat? I mean when the guy shot up the Church in South Carolina and the kid in Colorado in the movie theater and I never heard about their religion. Now I will say what I think the answer is to the above, First I think that 99% of Muslims in America are peace loving people chasing the same dream we all are. Lets talk about the 1% though whom I will refer to as extremists. It is obvious that the extremists see their destiny to be the destruction of freedom and the American dream of true freedom. What they fail to realize is event after event like this only hurts the 99% that are peace loving because lets be frank, we know our enemy is not named "Steve" or "John". Events in the last few years have made me turn my back on my total disdain for profiling to a certain extent. There were signs ignored about this killer and if we have the surveillance capabilities we tout ourselves to have there is no reason he was not at least on the radar after seeing some of his social media and Islamic Extremist blog. I think these terror groups will prey on others like him, those that have never been in trouble for anything but are looking for meaning and may be depressed or even suicidal and shower them with promises of a better afterlife. Its really kind of scary because I do not think this will be an isolated incident not repeated. The Fort Hood shooting that is still classified as "workplace violence" even though Hassad was yelling Alla Akbar as he was killing US Soldiers on US Soil it is not classified as domestic terrorism and even this federal government says a domestic terror plot is discovered and thwarted an average of every 33 days or something close to that. The last point I will make about this are these damn "Gun Free Zones". WTF is that about? Do these supposedly intelligent people somehow think men and women in uniform that are trained to handle a weapon should not have one? To me a "Gun Free Zone" is like a HUGE neon sign that says "Hello, welcome, we cannot defend ourselves". I have tried to support President Obama and his administration since voting for him in 2008 but have steadily lost confidence over the last 7 years and if he wants to do the right thing in the wake of this event, then IMMEDIATELY issue an executive order lifting the Gun Free Zones when dealing with our military bases, recruitment offices and schools. Let those trained to protect us protect themselves. For any Marines or any other soldier out there I shed a tear for you today.1 point -
How To Mod The Kanger Subtank Mini RBA Deck?
shen_long86 reacted to vapr for a topic
I modded my subtank deck. You DO benefit from modding this deck if you use a coil of less than 0.3 ohm and want to push 3.6 volts (mech volts) or higher. If you do this you can get dripper-level clouds and kayfun-level flavor in one hit. Awesome. See pic. In the pic you can see where I filed the sides, but you can't see I also filed the juice channels on the base so they are about twice as wide as original. Big holes. Japanese cotton. Never a flood, never a leak, never a dry hit either. Perfection forever, and over and over. I used a metal file to file away the thin metal case that screws onto the deck, right over the juice channels. I filed away a good amount. Now I pull a little cotton out of these triangular "holes" to start the wicking. I also used the same file to open the original juice channels. Wicks awesome and does not flood. BUT ITS ALL MOOT NOW because Kanger just came out with a new deck design for the RBA, currently I have only seen it in their kits, but I assume it will soon start shipping with the tank only product. This new RBA deck as the holes on the side, just like the factory cartridge does. This design is what makes the factory cartridge so awesome. And I never understood why the RBA deck wasn't designed the same way. Anyway, once this new RBA deck design comes out there will probably be no need to file away anything. And the Subtank is the greatest tank ever. I have ditched my drippers, and ditched my 100w box, and I am back to good ol' mech (wotofo VCO clone tube) and my Subtank mini with a filed-out RBA deck, running 24 gauge nickel wire, 1/8" coil, 0.2 ohm. Killa. My friend who used to only drip from a dual 18650 in-series box is now running a Subtank mini on the same box pushing ***7 VOLTS*** into the stock subtonic 0.5 ohm cartridge. WOW. Clouds.1 point -
Understanding the "Sweet Spot"
cesar reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
BCarter said it already... start at a low setting, vape, move up in Wattage (or Voltage on a VV device), vape... continue this process until you get a slightly burnt taste, or the taste changes to something harsh... back the Wattage/Voltage back a couple of notches (usually 0.1-0.2V or 0.2-.05W), and you've found the sweet-spot for that coil/tank combo.1 point -
Trouble is warning signs usually cannot be acted on. With the freedoms we enjoy in this country usually a crime has to be committed before the police can act. It will remain that way unless we give up some of our rights which I am not willing to do.1 point

The 2nd Amendment was put in place so we could protect ourselves, and our freedom. It seems like the only people that are allowed the right to keep and bear arms are the nut cases, and the religious fanatics. People refer to the wild west as a violent time in our history, but in fact there was less crime then. When law abiding people are armed the criminals think twice. I never hear about shootings at a NRA convention or any place else where people are armed. Almost always in a so called gun free zone. I will not enter a store that has a gun free zone sign posted, plenty of other places to do business.1 point -
Understanding the "Sweet Spot"
Earthling789 reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
The "sweet spot" refers to your preferred power settings paired with a certain atomizer resistance. My "sweet spot" for the equipment and single flavor I use is 7.5w @1.8ohms = 3.8v. Every liquid has a sweet spot that is usually found by dialing the power up until you get a slight burned taste then power down a click or two and viola! And what Tam said x 10001 point -

Just did a quick inventory, I have 14 KPT coils, 9 KPT3 coils, 11 T3 coils, and 4 subtank RBA heads all rebuilt and ready to go. Just noticed I have a RBA head soaking, looks like I have something to do.1 point

Well, he didn't specify the Aspire Triton but between him and Rixter... I never stood a chance. And yes, Earthling really is that good. Beware and guard your wallet carefully!1 point

I've used an aspire atlantistank with .5ohm coils on a 30w mod for the last 6 months. For the last month i got a new atlantis ver2 with .3ohm coils on a 30-70 watt mod I've been running at about 50 watts. I use all kinds of juices but they're always high vg juices. (70-80% vg). I run through about 3 tankfulls a day (6-9 mls), and on average get 3-4 weeks out of ONE coil. I never got that kind of life out of a pro tank coil. A week at best with those, plus those are like sucking a golf ball through a garden hose. These new sub ohm tanks are honestly amazing and i highly recommend getting into one. I've been vaping for 5 years and these things are by far the best vape I've ever had. Just my .021 point

I put some nice stuff in it ( at the time) couple of passthroughs, a couple of ego batts and lots of VT juice. When I got it all that was in it was a couple of useless 808's and some half filled juice bottles I wonder who put the 808's in there????1 point

Today I learned that as soon as I buy something, I will most likely immediately begin researching other cool vaping stuff. It's like a never ending cycle.1 point

Rixter, other than first two slip ups within my first, heck, less than a month of vaping, I've had an actual hard to get over craving ONCE. That Thanksgiving, we were at my sister's, and darn near everyone was smoking except my mother and my brother and his family. The smell hit me, and I wanted one. I mean, it hit me hard that I wanted one. Occasionally, through the last year and a half, I'll just out of the blue want a cigarette, but it's not a nicotine craving, it's more of a mental thing.1 point
