Welcome to Vapor Talk! We are great at this! I think that is one reason I enjoy it here so much!

  3. Well its a double edged sword but this will be one of the good things that come out of FDA regulation. There will be no more hiding what is in the liquid. I buy all mine from just two suppliers I know and trust what is in there but it should be universal.

  4. Around here we highly recommend getting back ups. And back ups of your back ups. And back ups of your back up back ups. Seriously. Even if you get a few cheap stick batteries like the Evod or Vision Spinners and some Kanger Pro Tanks (versions 2 or 3) and some 1.8 ohm single coils (these will work with the 3 even though they come with dual coil). You can't beat a Kanger Pro Tank (whatever version, full sized or mini) for a good, solid workhorse. They're dependable and very cost effective. Despite all my RDAs and other toys, the KPT tanks are my go-to because I know they just work.

  6. More good news? Am I the only one knocking on wood while refusing to count unhatched chickens? http://thehill.com/policy/finance/247214-gop-rejects-proposal-to-allow-fda-to-regulate-e-cigarettes

  7. oh man, I don't know. I guess what what I don't like about it is you have no control over the output. i don't suppose you have a meter and can measure the output of the battery? Or measure your coil resistance?

Even if it doesn't, I've found a very big surprise: the KPT 3 mini with a single 1.8 ohm coil delivers almost as good performance as the HH.357. One I could live with anyway and much cheaper!

  11. From My Vapor Store: 10 -- Subtank OCC Vertical Coil - V2 - 1.5Ω ohm 1 -- Black Eleaf iStick 50W <-- This silly thing jumped into my cart when I wasn't looking. They're sneaky little devils, oh yes they are! From my local B&M: 4 -- Kanger Pro Tank mini 3 <-- They had them on sale for around $10 each.

I hate when that happens. That's why I have a new iStick 40 TC...

Just picked up some 1.5 ohm coils at My Vapor Store. Um... I think an Eleaf iStick 50W might've jumped into my cart when I wasn't looking too...

There are a few places that sell premade twisted nickel coils I looked into that. I think I read somewhere that when the nickel gets hot it changes resistance, and that way the temp can be controlled. Kanthal may not change resistance enough.

  15. When mixing juice you have to pray to the juice god, or your juice might turn out bad. I use a ripe banana from FW and never had a cloudy batch.

    So how do you vape?

It reminds me of when I was trying to switch from cigarettes to a pipe. That thing was always in my hand whether I was toking on it or not. I used it for pointing, gesticulating, making a point etc. Now with these big wonker batteries and tanks it's kinda the same thing.

I just saw this posted on youtube. It looks good, except, listen to that rattlesnake in temp mode. I hope they smooth that out a bit before final release!

  18. Yeah Bebop. I also notice that the difference between the Kanthal vs the ni200 builds. I also feel that the kanthal tastes better, however I'm not sure if its just because that's all I've ever vaped before. Just doesn't feel like it hits as hard as the kanthal. More experiments will be coming up with pics of ni200 builds. You are gonna have so much fun with the Zephyrus tank. I can't wait to hear your opinion.

  19. I am noticing that I get better flavor generally from a kanthal coil. The flavor and vapor are there with Ni200 but it's not as good as kanthal so far. also, I read somewhere that you have to be consistent on the coil build with Ni200 in order for temp control to work properly. Either a contact coil with the coil loops touching or not touching at all which seems to be the case. Any inconsistencies and the temp control goes a little bonky. there is a slight but noticeable suppression on TC over kanthal. It's hard to describe. It's not bad but it just feels a little flat compared to kanthal. Still experimenting. I'm also gonna get the new Zephyrus tank as well.
