^^ This ^^ I understand the desire to cater to the cloud-chasers and super-sub-ohmers, but for the other 9 our of 10 of us in the real world, we prefer a solid, single-coil option, and replaceable coil-heads in a 0.8 Ohm and higher option! IMO, the explosion of sub-ohm tanks has saturated the market, and those noobs to vaping are not getting good options for flavor and smoking cessation... they're getting pushed into "cloud-making", and expensive gear, which is not appealing, and turns away a lot of potential vapers! My last trip into the most well-stocked B&M locally, I was rather shocked at the selection... three cases of high-end devices, RDA's, sub-tanks, high-powered APV's, etc.... and one tiny selection of Spinners, KPT2's, Davides, Nautilus, coils, etc., and they were pushing the Kanger, Horizon, and Yocan sub-tanks HARD (along with $100+ box-mods, $20/each batteries, and $40 chargers). Yeah, it's more profit, but what is that doing for promoting vaping to noobs? (sorry, got on a little rant there, lol)

Some good points concerning those new to vaping. But I don't think there's anything wrong with becoming a hobby for those who are so inclined, no reason it can't be both smoking cessation and hobby. I started with a simple EVOD 2 starter kit, but within a couple of months needed something more powerful and went to the MVP 2 with an Aerotank. That increased power and airflow really bumped up the flavor. Then I went to the Subtanks and iSticks and find that the sub ohm coils do provide more flavor (especially with that organic cotton) and flexibility. Sub ohming may not be for everyone, and there are still plenty of options available in the under 15 watt mod and 1.5 - 2.0 ohm coils. If your vape shop isn't stocking what you need you can found loads of stuff online.

    Let's Talk Temp Control

Thanks Bebop! I have been absent all day. Yes I am running it in Temp mode. It seems to screw up your temp readings a bit (like they were actually accurate anyway) I just adjust it to taste/heat and set it there. My cheap zero mod really seems to like it.

That's the great thing about vaping, so many choices you can find something that suits your particular preferences. No one way is going to be perfect for everyone, find what works for you and enjoy.

No, you are right on. There is a little bit of a double-edged sword, though. A smaller percentage of smokers are not satisfied with basic gear- egos and clearos. I think the sub ohm tanks help them, especially if they aren't highly motivated to quit to begin with. But the push is on to sell high end gear (read: more than you need) . And I'm not so sure getting beginners excited about subtanks and subohm vaping is great for vaping in general. It moves it out of smoking cessation and in to hobby and fad. Most will find they are only gonna be using a 1.2 ohm coil at 15watts anyway. And some are not gonna like the technique changes that come with higher watts and more airflow and the complication with all the variables and pieces. Honestly, my subtank mini is just a suped up protank. And the dual coil Zeph is too much for most of my vaping sessions throughout the day unless I'm alone or outdoors.

Love it. But I want a single coil deck option.

  8. I may or may not be there. I can make it to Pomona, but I don't know if I want to cut a huge hole in my wallet, ya know? It looks like it's going to be pretty great though.

  9. 20%vg and 20-30% flavoring. Some flavors are stronger than others. I dont think i have used 5% with any flavors, even my very strong ones. Then again i use multiple flavors for a total of 20-30 Then again i like strong favor

  10. I found a recommended percentage chart for TFA flavorings here. It seems to be pretty comprehensive.

  11. It depends on the individual flavoring that you're using. I have some flavors that require as much as 20% and some more concentrated ones that 2% does the trick. Your supplier (or Google) should be able to tell you what the recommended range is for each of their flavorings. I typically go a little beyond their suggestions because I'm all about intense flavoring, but go too far and your juice will start tasting "chemical".

    67,216 analogs avoided

As some of you know, I have been away from VT for awhile--life got in the way. I Just looked at my signature/banner and was amazed by the numbers. I just had to share it....shout it from the roof tops ! 2,240 days without a cigarette,15,123 dollars saved and 67,216 cigarettes not smoked. I think it's the 67,216 that floored me the most. no wonder I feel so much better !!!! VT has been an invaluable, amazing, incredible, stupendous part of my journey for the last 6 years. I can't even tell you how much I appreciate all of our members. Past, present and future.
