As some of you know, I have been away from VT for awhile--life got in the way. I Just looked at my signature/banner and was amazed by the numbers. I just had to share it....shout it from the roof tops ! 2,240 days without a cigarette,15,123 dollars saved and 67,216 cigarettes not smoked. I think it's the 67,216 that floored me the most. no wonder I feel so much better !!!! VT has been an invaluable, amazing, incredible, stupendous part of my journey for the last 6 years. I can't even tell you how much I appreciate all of our members. Past, present and future.4 points

Bump Everytime You Buy Something New

I got my wire from Temco today. I was nearly out due to many, many, poor attempts at building a huge coil in a tiny atomizer! I also got a surprise today. A few weeks ago Asmodus contacted me about the preorder on the Colossal. They still do not have them, or have any news on when they might. They offered me the Snow Wolf 50 Watt I decided that it would be nice to have a backup temp control mod. I have one, and an iStick 40 TC on the way. I really didn't care for the looks of the mod myself but I had already paid for it (January 1, 2015). Now that it is here I kinda like it. It is a bit larger than my Zero, but I really think it is more accurate.3 points -
Aspire's new Sub Ohm tank. It does come with an RBA. More info here: Aspire Triton This looks interesting, but I have ordered 2 new Tanks/RTA's this week and I really don't need another. (This week) Project Sub-Ohm SauceCode BXDC Sub-Ohm Tank OBC T-VCT I have really wanted to find a good single coil high airflow tank for nickel builds, and have not been able to find one, now everyone is putting them out!1 point

That is so awesome! Congratulations. When I see numbers like this it gives me pause for thought. I think at my age, and number of years smoking, ( I too was never without cigarette, pipe or cigar) I'd be close to signing up for the oxygen tent. So many of us must have a great tolerance for poisoning ourselves, as I seemed to really make strides in recovery from the effects of almost 50 years of two plus packs a day. Of course we all have been told ad nauseum that there's no recovery from COPD etc. yet somehow I'm now able to bound up stairs without wanting to make a heavy breathing phone call at the top, and swim now 1.5 lengths of the pool underwater. No matter what the naysayers say, I can now wake up without hacking up a lung, sleep without limbs going numb, breathe through my nose while sleeping, never have panic attacks because I can't get to the top of my breath, no more making sure I have cough drops so I don't disrupt classes I'm trying to teach, on and on and on. VT has been a big part of this journey. It's very helpful to be able to see that others have had the same experiences along the road.1 point

I did too. those cigalikes were terrible and expensive for very little satisfaction. I almost gave the whole thing up as a bad job till I saw a salesman toking on an eGo VV and saw that the damned thing actually worked. My sig other surprised me with a starter kit after I raved about the salesman's showmanship. The rest is satisfaction, analogue free, fun hobby history1 point

I started with e-cigarettes, the ones that actually looks like an analogue... those come with cartomizers with some crapy cigarette flavour, and they are just plain terrible... Vaporizers are designed for e-liquids, and they are a totally different thing.1 point

Do you vape like when you were smoking a cigg? Pick it up vape it for a few mins then put it down and pick it back up a while later. Or do you always have it on hand and hitting it all day/night long? For me its always nearby and Im vaping all day long1 point

I think that's a great idea. The more we can distance our activity from e-cigarette smoking and more towards personal vaping, the less comparison people will make with analogues.1 point

I rebuild my KPT coils, recently I bought a subtank mini kit, I ordered 4 extra RBA heads, and a extra tank, and today ordered another subtank kit I couldn't pass up the $49.90 price tag. So right now I have a subtank mini kit two more kits on the way and a extra tank. I should be set for awhile, and its all rebuilbable. Not sure if vaping is cheaper than smoking.1 point

I agree about both points about Audrey for sure. Austen is a beast but not much of a social game so far imo...I like Johnny Mack cause his reactions are just hilarious. That's really cool you played in the wsop and with her, she is very smart. Not sure I've picked an overall favorite yet, this season seems to be very good so far with the twists and all. We'll definitely need to get on here after the show on Sunday to discuss what happened and such!1 point -

67,216 analogs avoided
Tam reacted to Adversarious1 for a topic
Congrats Kit. I'm still thrilled at my 3300 analogs avoided and my $1000 "saved". I've almost "saved" enough by not buying analogs to cover my vaping expenses1 point -

In Presidential elections I tend to agree but with only 28-35% of those voting age that actually vote there is no way to know how the country feels. Fox polls show a hard right leaning nation, MSNBC polls show a hard left leaning nation and with 3 out of 4 voters sitting it out there is no way to truly gauge the "attitude of our nation" lol. Imagine if that 65-72% of the nation banded together and said "WE WILL NOT VOTE FOR ANYONE WITH A D OR AN R BY THEIR NAME!"? Would things change? A few things that must change: Term Limits for all offices No electoral College, popular vote only Make it a felony punishable by prison for anyone holding public office to take one cent above their taxpayer paid salary The two party system keeps us all in chains cheering for our team like a sporting event. Its time to do away with this!1 point -
Clouds of vapor will always be seen as clouds of smoke. for me personally i vape where ever i want.....out in the open when available and permitted....super ninja when not. People standing or sitting next to me have no idea. However, standing in line at Disneyland, the person behind me couldn't figure out why they kept smelling pancakes(maple syrup) .1 point

Addicted?

Welcome to VT, Sarah! Nicotine-wise... I'm getting less and less, than when I smoked, and I'm not letting my juice burn up in an ashtray, nor do I miss the smell or taste of smoking Vaping is also CHEAPER, as well as less-harmful than burning plants and sucking toxins into your body! The nice thing about vaping is that I can go many long hours without a "hit", compared to smoking, which was one after another... For me, now, it's less about cessation (been well over a year since I last smoked an analog), and more about the flavor and the hobby of it. Yes, I still get my nicotine, but probably about 2-3 analog's worth of nicotine daily? I could probably go 0-mg nic, but I don't bother... because nicotine is not the cancer-causing ingredient that gov't wants you to think it is. Caffeine, sugar, nicotine, etc... all in moderation, lol As for what is "normal" for most people... that is subjective... I was a heavy smoker, and 1.8% (18mg/ml) was the key to breaking me away from analogs. For some people, 12mg will do it, for some, 24mg or higher is necessary. Most of us tend to settle somewhere between 6mg and 18mg for our daily vaping... but it also depends on the rig you're using (tank, RTA, RDA, cartomizer, etc), and how often you take a drag... Chain vapers will go lower nicotine levels... those that take a hit every few hours may use much higher Nic levels, but I guess if you look at daily intake, most are in the 6-18mg levels?1 point -

I was told to start with a 12 by the stup at the b&m that I went to. I was trying to quit smoking and had worked my way down to 6 cigs a day. I hated vaping 12 because I would take one or two hits and then hack my lung up. Fortunately I DID quit smoking, but it wasn't until I talked to someone else about reducing my nic levels that I started to LOVE vaping! The flavor! The yummy delicious flavor! I can chain vape all day long now and the only thing that hurts is my bank account! I'll take it![emoji3]1 point

Are rebuilds going to be dead?
Wong Numba reacted to jasonculp for a topic
I will pile on. I am going to try my hardest not to buy a tank that does not include an RBA. I love the Subtank mini. I have been really tempted to buy an Atlantis 2, but keep talking my self out of it. My current all day vape is a Lemo2. I don't really use the RDAs anymore, but I would still like to have a freakshow mini. I will say that they are not building many tanks like I want. I tried a Kayfun 4 the other day, and it is a bit restrictive, and most open airflow tanks that are coming out are dual coil. I don't like them as much as the single. The build deck is too small to use the wire I want and stay in the ohm range I like.1 point -
