As some of you know, I have been away from VT for awhile--life got in the way. I Just looked at my signature/banner and was amazed by the numbers. I just had to share it....shout it from the roof tops ! 2,240 days without a cigarette,15,123 dollars saved and 67,216 cigarettes not smoked. I think it's the 67,216 that floored me the most. no wonder I feel so much better !!!! VT has been an invaluable, amazing, incredible, stupendous part of my journey for the last 6 years. I can't even tell you how much I appreciate all of our members. Past, present and future.

  4. Just got the Kanger Subtank mini in today. All the time and effort that Earthling put in, he got me primed for Rixter who put in the final push to get me into a sub-ohm tank. I've got it cleaned and filled up with a .05 ohm coil on an iStick 50W. Just waiting for a bit so that everything gets primed just right so there are no dry hits.

    Big Brother

Anyone else watch it? I know there is a certain amount of "Anti Reality TV" sentiment on the board from prior conversations but I am hooked on Big Brother and Survivor. Have never missed a single episode of any season to date. Anyway this is going to be an awesome season if anyone else watches it with the Takeover twist!

Congrats Kit. I'm still thrilled at my 3300 analogs avoided and my $1000 "saved". I've almost "saved" enough by not buying analogs to cover my vaping expenses

  11. I can very easily seeing it going to a black maraket system just like prohibition in the United States in the 1920's. I speak to a number of people almost daily, certainly weekly, who are already prepared to obtain the ingredients to make their own e-liquids should e-liquids and refillable tanks be banned. I'm prepared to do the same. This is the first method I have tried that successfully kept me off of analogs and I'll be damned if I'm going to go back to supporting Big tobacco in any method. I know this is an older thread, but since it has been resurrected, there are some other things I think lobbying/advocacy related some members may not be aware of. I saw a comment regarding lobbyists, CASAA and CASAA not having a presence here on the forum. We may not have an actual CASAA presence, but we do have CASAA members. I think Comp is a CASAA member (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). I'm a CASAA member. There may be other CASAA members. I certainly won't speak for any other VT members who may be also be CASAA members, but for me, any member with a legitimate advocacy idea is more than welcome to PM or message me and I'll do what I can to get those ideas out there. I mostly use social media in the form of Instagram and occasionally Facebook, but just this past week I registered a web domain name and have secured web hosting for an advocacy website...not lobbying, just advocacy. Now I just need to start building the site. In addition to CASAA, there is also the AVA (American Vaping Association), The Vaping Militia and Not Blowing Smoke who are dedicated to vape advocacy and vapers' rights, small businesses and even lobbying to an extent. Not Blowing Smoke was originally formed as a reaction to California's "Still Blowing Smoke" campaign, but I they are doing what they can to take their message and provide support nationally. CASAA shares a lot of "Calls to Action" for each state and the FDA, but I think their primary focus is on the FDA. The AVA has interests on both a state and federal level. In addition to those groups dedicated to vapers' rights, there is SFATA, the Smoke-Free Alternatives Trade Association. They represent manufacturers of devices, e-liquids, distributors, B&M's and to an extent, consumers. There is also AEMSA, the American E-liquid Manufacturing Standards Association.

    The South.....

I'm not bashing the south just the prevalent attitude and I live in Knoxville possibly the most progressive city in the state. I was born and raised in Tennessee and have lived here 45 years and the extremes have gotten worse and worse. Maybe it's the same all over to an extent. Dont get me wrong I love living here and would never consider moving anywhere north. I have passed many great economic opportunities because I would have to move north lol. It's just the vast majority of the people I know and work around are unable to accept anything or anyone that do not act or look like them. I mean in my smallish circle of friends and amongst the younger people it is different but amongst people my age I am definitely in the minority. Then again I have an ACLU card and a NRA card in the same wallet so maybe I am the weird one for thinking everyone should be treated equally regardless of race or religion.

    Hello

I've been playing with e-cigarettes off an on for a couple of years. I've been smoking for 20 years. I've managed to quit a couple of times only to go right back to it. Started with the cig-a-likes, which only marginally worked for a couple of weeks, then back to smoking. Then I had an evod I would puff on a bit here and there. Took the plunge due to a sale at my vape shop and just got an istick. I think this was the trick, I haven't even wanted to smoke in 2 days and my juice keeps tasting better. Fingers crossed! Trying to convince the hubby to make the switch too! Well, that's my story, brief though it is. Nice to meet you! :)

    Hello Im New Here

Been vaping going on 3 years and I can smell, taste, have lost 61lbs, off blood pressure meds, off anxiety meds, no more spring time allergies, my son no longer coughs or has allergy problems even though we never smoked in the house or car with him in it........ The only bad thing is the misinformation being reported by those against us, mainly those who are losing the profits from their cancer sticks.

  23. This is a fascinating subject. I personally have only had one continued experience which is similar to TugBoat. After my grandparents passed away my dad wanted me to close my business and move home (it was just a satellite of his aerial spraying business about an hour away). I didn't have anywhere to live so we did some remodeling in my grandparents house and moved in. It had been empty for about a year. We painted, tiled, carpeted, etc. We brought the house from the 60's up to the 80's (in the 2000's...lol). Our bedroom is my grandparents room. At least once a week you can smell the smell of "Holly Berry" air freshener in that room only. My grandmother sprayed it all the time. It is really strange. My wife really doesn't like the smell, but it is comforting to me. I think the only reason I feel it is supernatural, is that room has had new drywall, insulation, carpet, texture, paint, furniture, etc. The master bath had a leak in the shower and it caused a musty smell, we redid the bathroom, before we moved in and never found a stopping point, so we redid the entire bedroom. We redid the ceiling and added new insulation and even the duct work had been upgraded in the HVAC. I am generally lean to the skeptical side, but it has defiantly made me more receptive.

  26. This stuff is available all over the place. It's exploded in popularity. There's also a 10% and either a 12 or 18% ABV version. All of which mask the boozey taste very well. It's a dangerous beverage.

  27. This could be a dangerous drink. it tastes a lot like rootbeer with a touch of vanilla. I feel like if your not careful the alcohol could sneak up on you, doesn't have an alcohol taste. I am a beer drinker but will definitely put a couple of these down now and then for a sweet treat. This is also the first beer my wife has ever ever liked enough to take more than one single sip of and I have had her try hundreds of different kinds.
