What gets me riled is when someone sees you vaping and they say they smell smoke. Makes me want to give them a nose adjustment, but I don't I just flip them off.3 points

I want big clouds
iQuit and one other reacted to Adversarious1 for a topic
First, welcome to VT. You've come to a great site. There are a lot of friendly, knowledgeable people here that will be more than willing to help get you pointed in the right direction. Just be forewarned - everybody's vaping experience is different, so you're likely to get a variety of different answers because so much of the vaping experience is purely subjective. There are lot of variables that factor into producing big clouds, including what each individual considers to be a "big cloud". I'm only going to cover two or three of those variables because I know myself, and I tend to be over-descriptive. As I already mentioned, many things about vaping are subjective; "big clouds" are one of those things. What I might consider to be a huge cloud very well be laughed at by people during a cloud competition (I'm not assuming you want "cloud comp" size clouds, I'm just using that as an example). I have also talked to people at shops who thought they wanted big clouds when what they were really after were dense clouds. I was actually one of those people at one time. My personal "cloud" preference is dense. I honestly don't care how big the cloud is. Now, if go ahead and assume you are talking about "cloud comp" size clouds, then the main problem you are going to run into is the fact you are using an itaste mvp 20w. Cloud comp size clouds typically require sub-ohm coils. These days, a lot of the "cloud chasers" are building dual coils to .05 ohms and even lower in their rda's and they are using unregulated mech mods or box mods or the are using high wattage regulated devices. If I recall correctly, the itaste mvp 20w only fires down to 1 ohm. Does that mean you can't get big clouds with an itaste mvp 20w? Not necessarily, but again, that depends entirely on what you consider to be a big cloud. Higher VG content in your liquid is all but a guarantee that your clouds will be larger, even when vaping at 1 ohm or higher. I vape anywhere from 50/50 PG/VG liquids to liquids that are over 90% VG. For me, (and in theory, this should hold true for anybody), I know that if I go from my a 50/50 PG/VG liquid in my Lemo with a .7 coil to a 20/80 PG/VG liquid in the same tank with the same coil at the same wattage, my clouds are going to be bigger because the VG is essentially the "cloud" agent. Another factor is inhale technique. A mouth-to-lung hit is less likely to produce as much vapor as a direct lung-hit. Using the same set-up example and liquid blends from above, a 3 second direct lung hit with the 50/50 PG/VG liquid is not going to produce as much vapor as a 3 second direct lung hit with a 20/80 PG/VG liquid, but if I take a 7 second direct lung hit on the 50/50 liquid, I can get a comparable cloud to a 3 second direct lung hit on a 20/80 liquid. The best advice I can give right now is to take a look at a higher wattage device before you start diving into the world of RBA's. Possibly take a look at some sub-ohm tanks. There is a huge selection of affordable, quality regulated devices and a seemingly even bigger selection of sub-ohm tanks on the market that will help you get bigger clouds with the right setup. That would be the right setup for you...not the right setup according to recommendations online or recommendations. I know I was long-winded, but I hope the info helps point you in the right direction.2 points -
What's the best place you've ever vaped?

Reminds me of the militant femi-nazi that came to our back table in a restaurant about 25-yrs ago. My wife was breastfeeding our newborn son, completely covered and discreet, and I doubt more than 4 people in the restaurant even knew we were IN that booth. Anyway, she came over and started ranting about how shameful it was to expose a breast like that, and she should do such wicked things in the bathroom, where it belongs, because "real people" were trying to eat a civilized meal. I stood up, walked over to her table, and picked up her plate... started walking... she screamed at me because I had dared to touch her plate, and demanded to know what I was doing... I turned to her and politely said (in front of the whole restaurant) "I'm taking your plate to the women's restroom. If my son has to eat his meal in there, it will be good enough for you too, right?" The manager stopped her before she could hit me, and asked her (and her timid/whipped husband) to leave, immediately. We, on the other-hand, received our meal for free, and were welcomed back1 point -
The general attitude from people is to hate the " Smoker " as a person, not the cigarette or the tobacco company like in the old days... people don't even understand how hard is to quit smoking... or they don't care....I tried a million things to try to quit smoking, and vaping is the only thing that truly works.1 point

what you find more appealing about vaping ?
cesar reacted to Adversarious1 for a topic
I'm with the others on this, the health benefits are the real appeal to me. I can get my nicotine fix without all of the other carcinogens found in cigarettes. That being said, going purely on how the question was originally posed, (gadgets or liquid), my answer is easily the gadgets. I'm a gadget junkie as it is. While I like a lot of different e-liquids, and I like the fact there seems to be an endless choice of e-liquids, if somebody told me tomorrow that I could only vape one flavor e-liquid from now on, any flavor of my choosing, I wouldn't have a problem with that. Now, if somebody told me I could only use my subtank mini on top of my Sigelei 100+ and I had to use the 1.2 ohm factory coils, there would be problems.1 point -

Gear is just gear. The minority chase cool looking fancy stuff the mass majority use basic stuff and maybe even one flavor. I LOVE my Istick 50w just for battery life but other than that it seems no different than a $20 spinner and have used the same flavor for over two years exclusively. I can smell now, taste now, have lost over 60lbs, blood pressure completely normalized and allowed me to get off several meds and my cost is down to under $80 per month for my wife and I combined. There are too many benefits to list and I cannot think of one negative.1 point -

I find the coolest thing about vaping is I have been over two years without a cigarette.1 point -
My favorite place I sat down and vaped at has to be atop Fort Rock in Central Oregon. One of the most beautiful places. I left behind my two climbing partners and took off to a peak by myself for a quick vape. Sat for maybe 5 min or so, and looked out on nothing but flat farm land. Gorgeous.1 point

all the info you need is right here ^^^ personally I recommend starting with a sub ohm tank setup like said above^^^ you can seriously injure yourself or others if you don't understand building and electricity in general...get a sub ohm tank and vape on that while studying electricity...then when you're confident with your knowledge then move to building rdas or whatever you desire. Ps welcome to VT!1 point -

Stopped by a local B&M today picked up a aspire 40A 1800mah 18650 battery. Don't know who actually made it. It is the only kind they have. 40A is way more than I will need.1 point -
What's the best place you've ever vaped?
kitsune reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
Actually, YES, several places have banned perfumes and even strongly scented soaps due to asthmatic reactions that can be brought-on by exposure to their employees. I've been in several businesses, hospitals, and even the local health-department with signs asking that you do not enter if you just bathed in your cologne/perfume. And, it is within their rights as business owners to make such requests of their patrons. Just like those that ban smoking, vaping, or "no shoes, no shirt, no service"... I support their rights. Comp is right, we're fighting uphill, both ways, with our loose-leaf notebooks, in the snow... and those 1 or 2% that think it is their "right" to cloud-up anywhere they please are the same few that will cause all other vapers to be treated worse than the smokers... pariahs of the socially-acceptable and just-society! Those clouding-up the grocery stores, shopping malls, and aisles of the local Wal-mart will be the only people our politicians think of when they ban and tax the C R A P out of all vaping-related gear! So, be considerate of others, and be wary of your surroundings when you vape... The "nannies" are watching... always...1 point -

Establishments that are Vape friendly will need to up their game and be mindful of everyone. Designated areas to vape and the like. There is a line as vapers and places that allow vaping have to walk or they will loose business. If someone were to come into a place I had and was chucking clouds in a non designated area, I would either ask them to go to the Fog Room or, they would have to not Vape while in the area they were in. We are fighting an up hill battle in some ways and I think people who vape should be mindful of the fact that not everyone wants to be around it.1 point -
What the best way to start cloud chasing!
Tam reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
My boss has been trying to get my approval to work from home authorized since they forced us to go back to the offices, but the closest office will be moving to a different company in a month, and the next closest two offices don't have any space for me... my only options left were to drive 2-hrs one way (which wasn't going to happen, lol) or get the VP to approve me to work from home again... and I missed my home office... couch, recliner, mini-fridge, 42" wide-screen, indirect lighting, command-desk with six 24" monitors, and my media server with 14TB of stored TV shows and movies (strictly for background noise, lol) I'd love to take some of your workload from you, but I'm pretty sure they'd notice the difference in quality if I were helping I'll assume you're using an Innokin MVP 2.0? Yes, they are a bullet-proof device... I've had one more than a year now, and it still sees almost daily service! The juice and coil resistance will tell you when you're using too much power (burnt taste), so if 8W work for you, then you're at your juice's and coil's sweet-spot...1 point -
When I first started vaping, I vaped everywhere I could because falling back to analogs was not an option for me, and I could get away with it with my ego and KPT2 - easy to hide and be a ninja about it. As I discovered that lung hits and a more fuller vape works best for me, I do not have the need to vape as often. I vape in public where it is socially responsible without hiding it - no indoor vaping whatsoever except at home, office, or hotel rooms.1 point
