  1. Did someone say "help me spend money"?? Tam and Bebop are right... we need more info on what your goals are, and your budget. A simple Spinner and KPT2 set-up will get you going and keep you from smoking, but if you're looking for big clouds to annoy your neighbors and household members... there are a hundred different ways to approach it (although I don't condone cloud-chasing as a "sport").

  2. I've bought a couple of counterfeit "authentic" tanks from the local B&M last summer, and I'm sure they did not even know they had purchased counterfeits from their wholesaler, because when I brought it to their attention, they had already been notified by other buyers, sent the rest of the inventory back to the wholesaler, and offered to replace my tanks with authentics or give me store-credit... I took the store credit, lol. The tanks worked, but not nearly as refined and smooth in their threading, and the o-rings were crap. Now, I thoroughly inspect anything I buy from a B&M I agree, counterfeiting is theft, and where I draw the line. I would not willingly or knowingly purchase a counterfeit. I have no issues with companies cloning or "styled as", as long as it is clearly marked as such... I know what I'm buying, and they know what they are selling. As Tam said, there are clones out there that have improved or corrected minor faults of the originals, and many of the 1:1 clones have the blessing of the original manufacturer to produce them. I have several clones from reputable cloning companies (HCigar, Infinite, etc), and honestly, the function of my Russian 91% clones was so good, that I decided to invest in two authentic as well. I can honestly say, the authentic are slightly better made (but only slightly in threading and polish). So, are the authentic Russians worth it to me? Yes, to support the authentic company had have bragging-rights that I own authentic, but no, to the 600% cost difference, when the vape is basically identical.... AND, my clones have never leaked... the authentic DO leak from time to time out of the fill-port, and the clones have slightly larger capacity, air-flow port, and juice-channels... so in all honestly, the clones have improved over the original? If any company takes something to be manufactured in China, they WILL have it cloned and sold cheaper through other outlets! China does not honor any patent agreements, nor do they treat your intellectual property as yours, and yours alone. They contract to produce X-items, or produce for X-hours a day to your specs... they then run their lines during the off-contract time to produce clones (using other materials, cheaper materials, different colors, etc.) to extend their profit margins and justify tooling/set-up costs. It's just the way they do business. If you don't want your product cloned (from day-one)... don't let the Chinese have your blueprints!

  3. What Bebop said. Also, give us a price range of what you're willing to spend because that, too, will make a difference on what people will recommend for you. Price range can be anything from $50 and up. When I say "up", it could be in the high hundreds if you don't give us a limit. We're more than happy to help you spend money on what you want.

  4. Actually it is not exactly your right to vape where you want. It is most definitely illegal to vape on about every US airline and I am seeing "No E-Cig" signs popping up everywhere. People that think they can vape anywher without ramifications willl continue to cause restrictions to be enhanced. I vape everywhere I can but if in question I ask. I do not have a bigger pet peeve, other than maybe cloud contests, than vapers especially subohm cloud blowers thinking they can fog up everywhere they go. In restaurants I excuse myself to the bathroom if I need a few draws unless it is openly allowed. I vape all day and low my employees to do the same at the businesses I run, in my car, home and almost anywher outside regardless but in stores, restaurants and other indoor public places I try to be discreet. A modicum of discretion will go a long way to help instead of hurt our cause.

  7. When I first started vaping, I vaped everywhere I could because falling back to analogs was not an option for me, and I could get away with it with my ego and KPT2 - easy to hide and be a ninja about it. As I discovered that lung hits and a more fuller vape works best for me, I do not have the need to vape as often. I vape in public where it is socially responsible without hiding it - no indoor vaping whatsoever except at home, office, or hotel rooms.

    Clones or Counterfeits?

I seldom visit B&M stores, and the few times I did, most of what they sell are clones. 2 of those stores trying to pass Kayfun V4s as "authentic" for a bargain price of $100 for a limited time. One of them still has FT green sticker on the back of the box. lol That is why I seldom buy anything from a B&M store. I buy both clones and authentic. For toppers less than $50, and mods under $100, I will buy authentic. Sometimes I am willing to pay more for if I think they are worth it. I have more RDA clones than the real deal because more often than not, I end up modifying them... or at least it is on my project list.

  9. How did I know that "help me spend money" would draw you into this thread? Honestly, though, Earthling's recommendations are spot on with high quality hardware. He won't steer you wrong.

  10. You used the term "cloud chasing" in your title but then nothing in your post suggests that you actually want to cloud chase. First, are you vaping to quit smoking? Or are you vaping for sport? Btw, you have asked a question that is going to garner so many opinions and interpretations that you are likely to be just as confused after all the answers you are going to get. But out if you tell us a little about why you vape and what you want out of vaping that will help.

  11. Yes it was working fine. I bought it yesterday actually, and never charged it since, and using it like every 5 min hehe. I hope this fixes it, I am charging now, look back on the thread in a few min and I will post if it worked.

    Im getting Frustrated

Despite all the fancy toys I have all over the place, when things get really stressful and I need something simple that just works... I reach for my trusty Vision Spinner with an Anyvape Davide mini (a Kanger Pro Tank mini is nearly identical) and vape away. Sometimes simple is beauty beyond compare. I hope things smooth out for you soon.

  13. I understand your frustration. I keep some 24mg, and 36mg juice around just for those occasions. I keep a Nautilus on an iStick just for this. The juice I have won't run but around 15 watts in this combo. If that doesn't do it I grab a dripper. I will do a few drags off of a higher than normal nicotine level in the dripper. If that doesn't do it, I know it is not the nicotine that causing my problem. So I just grab my very low nicotine coffee/cream combo and chain vape. Like they say, don't beat yourself up. I have been off of stinkies just a little over a year, and the "Bad Times" are very few and far between now, but it wasn't that way in the beginning. Normally it is other things in my life that is causing my stress and I am learning to deal with them a bit better. (Of course this is just me)

  14. Wish I'd seen this sooner. The subtank mini is an awesome tank, but the factory nickel coils leave a lot to be desired. I have repeatedly had dry hits with my first nickel OCC coil in my subtank on my IPV4. This is apparently something many people experience and it's largely due to the size of the juice flow openings on the coil housing. There is a 'fix' I saw on YouTube I'm going to try that only takes about a minute: https://youtu.be/RbXLOkklR1Q What it all comes down to, though, is that there really isn't a "best" tank for the IPV4. The "best" tank is the tank that works best for you in terms of flavor and vapor production. I currently have several tanks that I use regularly. Each one is "better" at something than others, be it better flavor with certain juices or better vapor with certain PG/VG blends. To date, the Arctic is still my favorite all-around tank out of all the tanks I own. Horizon either just released or is getting ready to release ni200 coils for the Arctic, so I'm looking forward to getting my hands on some and checking it out in TC mode. A close 2nd in terms of personal favorites is my recently acquired Silo Beast. The Atlantis coil heads are compatible with the Silo Beast and I have some of the nickel coils on order. I will be able to report back on performance on that particular tank after they arrive.

  15. Picked up a Silo Beast. I'm turning into a tank junkie. Also painted the iPV4. Silver was boring. Now sporting a sweet translucent orange. I also got rid of the mirrored finish, buffed it out and sprayed it the same color.
