I am one month off ciggs I actually found the switch to be nothing more than a minor inconvenience....so happy about that! About two weeks into the switch I noticed I have extremely dry eyes. Is anyone else experiencing this?1 point -
When to replace coil heads on Aspire Atlantis + CF Sub Ohm battery
Bebop reacted to ColtonHodge for a topic
Haha possibly. It's at 0.5 ohms.1 point -
That's one heck of a review, Jason. I'm looking forward to hearing more about it when you've had a chance to put it through its paces.1 point

PG and VG are actually the cheapest part of DIY speaking from experience the flavoring is the most expensive part unless you stick to 1 flavor. I currently have about 20 different flavors. personally I use Heartland Vapes for PG VG and Nic base, and Flavor West for flavoring. But I suppose the only difference between the different suppliers is price. Just don't order juice from China (don't know what's in it).1 point

Coil questions
shen_long86 reacted to noobie for a topic
Hello, I'm here once again asking more questions. I have purchased IPV 4 ( Atty is Mutation X V2) with some Kanthal 24 GA wires for some new coils. I was wondering if its possible if i can do twisted coils instead of regular wrapped coils. Also whats the benefit of using twisted coils ? Always thanks for the help!1 point -
Coil questions
noobie reacted to shen_long86 for a topic
I am currently running a dual twisted coil setup. 26ga twisted with 28ga wrapped 5 times on a 3mm rod @0.23 ohms. Yes you can do it, but the lower ohms you go the more power you will need to run it, also it will tend to produce warmer/hotter vapor the lower ohms you go and higher power you run. The benifits of a twisted coil is it does tend to produce more vapor but it also produces more flavor. But this depends on your preference, if you are a flavor chaser or cloud chaser. Hope this helps.1 point -
Got my steampunk e juice
shen_long86 reacted to rainbowtears for a topic
Tried out steampunk vapor company and all I can say is wow...the flavor and ingredient quality is in line with all the top name premium juices...got 9 sample bottles at 5ml and three flavors I created...the ones I created will need some steeping obviously but are still VERY good...I'm kinda a juice snob and only like top shelf juices, I'm thoroughly impressed. Only have tried the 3 I created so far and am excited for the other 9 I selected off the juice list. Would recommend them to all vapors...they're extremely fair priced too.1 point -

Everything about vaping
shen_long86 reacted to mikevaporkwest for a topic
Hey everyone, I am very very new to this vaping game. The only time I have ever used one was with one of my friends. It really enticed me though, and I may have been a little over-zealous because I went out and bought a sigelei 100w box mod. It will probably be here in a few days. The package comes with a tank, the batteries, (samsung 1650 batteries), and a battery charger. Could one of you please tell me what I need to do, besides building a coil, or if there is anything I should be aware of know. Any information is helpful. Thank you!!!!!1 point -

Beautiful, Jason. I agree, you have to "zen" them apart.1 point

That thing can be a PITA. I clean mine up good with water, and start by loosening the top, but not removing it. then while they are still together try squeezing as far away from the base as possible to loosen. The problem with the RBA is it is so thin, that when you put pressure on the outside of it to unscrew it you deform it slightly and it will not come apart. I have also had fair luck taking the top cap off and griping the ring by the inside and outside as to not add pressure to the threads. You can't use muscle on them, they are too thin, you have to out smart it.1 point

And for anybody else who's paying attention, I should add that Food grade doesn't necessarily mean it is less pure than pharmaceutical grade. Food grade just hasn't been "certified" or tested for pharmaceutical use. It may very well be just as pure as pharma grade and for all I can tell is likely to be.1 point

Okay, Cesar. Just stop now please, lol. I am not interested in a "forum war" ive got my foot on your chest and I've just pinned your body to the ground with my broadsword and enjoying a snack of your heart. the grades are: 1) pharmaceutical 2) food grade 3) farm grade 4) Industrial grade they are all separate grades and deal with their certification and/or purity or source. E juice more commonly uses food grade. You should never use farm grade or industrial grade for consumption.1 point

Man I hate this new editor. I just spent a half an hour detailing my response and locked up. The short version follows: sorry, I am being a little harsh on you because your post does not contain enough information to make it useful and Implies a couple of things that cannot be taken as truths. Point #1 - when you use the term "antifreeze", 90% of people are going to equate that with what is commonly thought of as automotive antifreeze and pg is not an ingredient in automotive antifreeze. Also, the association of one ingredient in antifreeze is out of context and is irrelevant and alarmist. Water is used in anitfreeze. So what. Equating chemicals with each other because they are used together is irrelevant. IPoint #2 - PG itself has a lower freezing point than water. It is used in conjunction with other chemicals as an ingredient to lower the freezing point of fluids used in equipment where hazardous exposure of the fluids to humans, animals, foods etc must be taken in to consideration. PG is considered benign - has no detrimental or toxic effects in relative quantities. Again, it's use as an ingredient in anything else is irrelevant. point #3 - you call it's use in e-liquids "the biggest problem" - it's a misstatement. I don't know what you mean by that statement. You might as well say "the biggest problem" with water is it's used as an ingredient in antifreeze. It's just absurd. point #4 - you have no way of proving pharmaceutical grade pg is in "most e-liquid". In fact "pharmaceutical grade" is a designation placed on a product by the USP and only sold by physicians and limited pharmacies. It is not likeLy e-juice manufacturers are using pharma grade pg. Not impossible, but not likely. You also cannot say it's "perfectly safe" (in the context of vaporizing it). No one knows that and it hasn't been proven to be fact.1 point

Snow wolf 200w irks
shen_long86 reacted to Adversarious1 for a topic
I'm not too sure about what advice to give on the first issue (not registering kanthal builds) other than gossip/rumors I heard while I was visiting one of my local B&M's the other day. I was talking to one of the guys who works there and he mentioned something similar to what you described. He hasn't heard if it is a widespread issue and he hasn't heard of a "fix" for it yet. But...he did hear speculation that the Snow Wolf is actually a Sigelei "prototype" for their entry into the TC world (essentially developed by Sigelei, then given to Asmodus for distribution as the "Snow Wolf" under Asmodus' name), so if it is indeed a known issue, it will hopefully have a fix soon. The way he explained everything overall made sense, as Asmodus is the largest distributor for Sigelei (and P4Y) in the US. With that out of the way, regarding your "medium size problem" - are you using an RDA? A tank with prebuilt coils? An RBA base for a tank? An RTA? The "symptoms" you explained have me thinking it's one of three possible things: #1 - you could simply have a mod with a defective chip. Like any other consumer product, defects happen. #2 - If you're using a rebuildable (either RDA or RTA) your coil could be just a tad loose. #3 - Also depending on if you're using a rebuildable, you could have a loose post (most likely positive post, as most negative posts are milled into the decks). I had #3 happen to me with my Lemo. Drove me up the wall for well over a week. Couldn't figure out why I could build on RDA's all day long and get consistent results with my coils every single time, but I couldn't built a simple coil for the Lemo.1 point -
I wish i could erase your last post, Cesar. Its really quite uninformed on a couple of levels. Others should disregard it. I'll address it fully a little later unless someone else wants to jump in.1 point

That is great man! You wouldn't believe how many times I have done that. I have nearly got myself into trouble with backups. You sit there and tell a newbie how to do something, then you run out to your vehicle and give them your backup. This is one reason to have backups to backups...lol1 point

Went too see Dad today hes been kinda vaping for a few months now. He bought a cheap setup in FLA for $`12.50 and pretty mich knew nothing about vaping and still doesent. Dad has not been allowed to smoke for a long time now Drs orders but he doesent listen never has (I know where I get it from) So I checked out his $12.50 setup it was some kinda Ego looking batt that started with a V no adjust on the watts and the tank was an evod looking thing that you fill from the drip tip when you unscrew it I couldnt see any way to get to the coil. Well I let him take a hit off the invader mini/subtank with my carmel/hazelnut mix in it he liked it then he tried the Istick with the naut mini on it he liked that too. So after a little while of explaining to him about different tanks etc I told him to go the the vape shop near him and pickup an Evod tank for his batt. After a few mins of me rethinking the idea of him getting an Evod tank I walked into the back yard and gave him my I23 batt with a naut mini tank with a fresh coil and filled it with Vanilla custard and have it to him gave him a few lessons it and he was vaping away he seemed very happy with it and loved the airflow. Hopefully he sticks with it1 point

He was a really interesting person. He never borrowed a penny in his life and ran a self made business worth millions. His business did everything by the books, but he wanted to erase his existence. He was an extreme Christian, I know many people think all Christians are...but he was one of the most over the line guys I have known. At the same time, he was funny and interesting, as long as you didn't go into politics or religion. I see things more along the lines as you. I want the government to back up and stick to the Constitution, but socially I am fairly liberal. I don't think there should be laws governing personal behaviors, as long as it does not infringe on anyone elses' rights. (sex, drugs and rock-n-roll...lol)1 point
