  1. Got cotton? I googled Japanese Organic Cotton. Amazon had 200 pads for $7.99. I thought cool, I'll order some. The vendor had a $25 minimum order....grrrr . So I thought what the hell I'll order 4 packs. In the checkout I got a message for a $30 instant coupon if I signed up for an Amazon Visa. Ok, I did, got it, "Try Prime free for 1 month and get free shipping on this order", Ok, I did. 800 cotton pads for $1.96 and 30 days to pay for them

  2. Gimmick? No, it does give you an amount of control that you don't have with a conventional vv/vw mod. Necessity? No, I would not say the quality of vape has increased significantly, especially with nickel wire (hard to work with) and the small number of RBA's that can accommodate a coil large enough achieve the proper resistance. I really miss my Tiger Wire builds in my SubTank Mini... Once I learned to get mine set up correctly and how to set it, I really enjoy the fact that the vape is so consistent from the beginning of the tank, until it is dry. The coils seem to be lasting much longer for me too. I will probably not be making any mod purchases in the near future that do not have the feature.

  4. Picked up a troll RDA for $29 and my Simple Mod clone ($16 eBay) came in. Did a patina, striped the bottom and 4 coats a matte clear.

Good review. Short and to the point.

  11. That's the biggest problem I've encountered...while RDAs would benefit from TC the most, because of the ultra low resistance of Ni200, it's almost impossible to squeeze a dual coil nickel setup into one. It might not be so tough in a 26650-sized RBA, though.

  12. I can tell absolutely zero difference in the taste of my juices between using Nichrome, Kanthal, and Nickel coils. I've heard vapers say that they can tell the difference, but I'd love to see the results of a blind taste test between the three. I think that different builds contribute to variances in taste, but I really don't see how the composition of the coil wire has anything to do with the taste of the juice. Of course, that's just my opinion...I'm fine with all three. If there's some fact as to how this could be so, I'm all ears.

    Let's Talk Temp Control

I've not used any Ni200 premade coil heads in my Subtanks so I can't speak about those, but I have made coils for the Subtanks' RBA heads and they perform beautifully. I also refitted an eGo One tank's coil head with a Ni200 coil and it works just as good. I think that where TC really shines is in RDAs and tanks where you can't really see what's going on under the hood. It's really hard to see your juice level in an eGo One tank (I've unintentionally run out of juice in it several times) and with most RDAs, so when you run dry, TC kicks in and keeps your coil temp from skyrocketing, thus eliminating charred wicking material and a burning throat and watering eyes. Run dry with no TC on a Kanthal build and...well, you know what happens.

  14. Welcome. Only tip I can give, is that it does work. You can quit. Keep at it...! And don't forget, a tank can be a nice change of pace.

  15. Well I started building, it was inevitable I guess . When I'm doing the cloud thing I'm dripping straight VG. For everything else it's 3mg, 2 or 0.

Mine arrived Saturday. So far I love it! Its a beautiful mod at a very reasonable price, especially considering that it comes with the newest subtank.. Within the first day of ownership I accidentally knocked it off of my night stand and put a huge scratch down one side. Luckily, its easy enough to touch up the black version with a sharpie. The finish seems decent enough, but without some kind of silicone cover or a wrap, I think some scratches can be expected with regular use. As for performance, it works great! The display looks amazing, like it has some depth to it. The new OCC vertical coils are awesome. With the old design I was vaping @ 25 watts with the .5 ohm coils. The new design needs a little more power for best performance. Right now I'm running the new .5 ohm coil at 35 watts and its a great vape. Produces more vapor than the old design, and flavor is about the same. Also, the new tank has dual air flow holes, but honestly I can't tell any difference. I think air flow is limited by the inlet on the coil's connector. I haven't tried the rebuildable base yet. Buttons are plastic, but they don't feel hollow or cheap. The magnetic battery door makes swapping batteries a snap and the rounded design makes it feel very good in the hand. If I could change a few things to improve the mod, this is what it would be: 1) Switch to a spring loaded 510 connector. I haven't had any trouble with any of my tanks making contact, but I would just feel better if it were spring loaded. 2) Put a little "lip" at the bottom of the body where the battery cover sits to keep it from moving easily. It works fine as is, but I'd prefer if the cover didn't have any movement unless its being removed. 3) Have it hold voltage in memory after releasing the fire button. This isn't a big deal, but it would be nice to be able to see the voltage without holding the button. Overall the Subox gets a thumbs up from me. I think its one of the best values for a nice looking do-it-all starter kit that I've seen to date. It comes with everything you need except for a battery and juice.. Can be set up for lung inhales, or mouth to lung depending on the coil. Great for beginners and experienced users alike.

  17. I think the Billow 2 has a longer chimney neck. Reviews of RTA's have shown that the shorter the chimney neck the better the flavor (of course taste is always subjective).

  18. With a rebuildable, you get what you want, opposed to what the manufacturers want you to have. For example, I prefer my RTA builds at 1.4 Ohm, and my RDA at 0.9 Ohm or 0.75 Ohm... cookie-cutter, mass-production builds don't hit what I want, and it seems the sub-ohm tank craze thinks everyone wants 0.2, 0.3, or 0.5 Ohm builds. I've seen 0.8 Ohm cartridge coils, but from there, you get 1.0 or 1.2... I've nothing against the cookie-cutter builds, per-se, but but I want full control sometimes... and my builds seem to last longer, too. Rebuildables also allow us to configure the cotton (or whatever you're using) the way we like it, not a specified diameter, length, quality, etc.
