One Year Down!
tazl37 and 3 others reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
A year ago today (3/31), I smoked my last cigar... I bought my starter-kit (a twin-pack eGo-T and Ce4 with charger, carry-case and 60ml of juice) for a whopping $72... yes, I still have the receipt..., and was determined to give it two weeks to see if I could kick the analog habit... I figured since I had just spent nearly two week's worth of tobacco money, I had better not waste it Well, I've come a long way from my eGo's and Ce4's... dozens of Kanger tanks, RTA's RDA's, MVP, Mech-mods, and now higher-end APV's... I've given many devices a try, and finally settled on my preferred set-ups of RTA's and IPV-minis / Cloupor-minis... but still cling to my AeroTanks, because you just can't kill them I've tried liters of e-liquids, spent hundreds of dollars in trial-and-error, and found my ADV's are as cheap as a decent fast-food meal every week... even cheaper now that I've found I can DIY and duplicate the flavor (and make it even better, too). I've spent a small fortune, but still less money on vaping than I would have spent supporting Big-Tobacco or the cigar cartels... I've paid forward as much as I've kept... made many, many friends here on this forum and in the local community of vapers... and helped to educate and convert dozens of ex-smokers to the healthier world of vaping! I feel good about myself, and have never felt better in my own body... I breathe better, have more energy, more stamina, and have actually lost 15-lbs over the past year (without even really trying)!!! I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone on this forum for all the help and encouragement you've given me when I was starting out, and when I was learning about something new. YOU have made all the difference in my road to becoming (and staying) analog-free for a whole year. I'm so glad I found this forum, and I'm proud to be a contributing member, helping others reach their first-year milestones!4 points -

Well for me that's what forums are all about. To learn from the community so an individual can do it right.2 points

I go for the dump the tank, clean it out, pop in new juice and new coil and go on. The rest of the bottle goes on the shelf for a second or third try later on after it's had some time to mature a bit. Then, if I still don't like it, it gets given away.1 point

Thanks George I was told to add about 5 drops down the center of the coil to prime it (now I will let soak also ) Ive been using it for about 2 days now The flavor/cloud is a bit better (to me) then the KPT2. But the one thing I like about it the airflow control to me its a lot more user friendly than the one on the KPT2 Im also using it with a 70vg mix that could be why the flavor/cloud a bit better?1 point

Caffeine is a diuretic, it will dehydrate. I personally wouldn't want it in something that dehydrates already. Not a scientist or doctor but, I wouldn't think it would be good for your lungs. Think I am gonna stick to PG,VG, nicotine and flavoring. If you miss a morning coffee and need a boost, chocolate covered espresso beans would kick you in high gear in a hurry.1 point

What is the current PG/VG ratio of your Mt. Baker juice? It could be that it is not wicking properly in those coils. Meaning your getting dry hits due to a higher VG content. Those coils in my experience don't work well with anything over 50/50. If your juice is 60%VG/40%PG it will wick slower and if you chain vape it will dry hit for sure. If you like the juice then keep with it, but try a thinner mix if they offer it. Not too familiar with Mt. Baker.1 point

i hear ya shen, i'm bouncing hints to mine about a box mod now. they just seem to bounce back with evil stares.1 point -
It is a great tank! I PIF my last two a while back and I am down to 1 full size now. Here is GeorgeF's post about the new coils: It is easy to tell them apart if you have 2 to compare, but if you don't it might be difficult. I am guessing the new tanks have the cotton warning like the coils, but I don't know for sure.1 point
