    Spoiled and feeling guilty

I'm with you, Jonnoh. Without the sheer variety of toys and juices, I'd never have gotten off and stayed off analogs. Lord knows I tried nearly everything else. Coming close to my three year mark (in May). Can't believe it's been this long. Haven't saved much money from making the switch, but it's the best damn money I've spent in a lot of years!

    Spoiled and feeling guilty

I know we do a little tongue in cheek about these toys. But as I approach my 2 year vaping birthday, it gives me pause to think how serious these 'toys' are. I could have had another 2 years of hacking up 2 packs a day. Maybe choked to death, maybe a lung cancer diagnosis, (of course still could get that one I know) . Another two years of wheezing, not great feeling in fingers and toes, arms falling asleep while the rest of me not sleeping because of that. On and on it goes. Instead, I've had two years of nothing but improvement in breathing and circulation and feelings of well being all because of these 'toys'. I like to joke about my new toys too but deep inside these are a serious business. I for one feel the need to thank again Vapor Talk and the folks here who are so encouraging, and the engineers and chemists both professional and amateur for the fantastic equipment and juices. Thanks for a great two years and looking forward to a few more

    newbie question

Welcome Monica! When I started, I did the same as you. I never found a good Marlboro flavor. I had a smart lady at a local vape shop tell me if you can find one that tastes like you want it....go totally the opposite direction. She sent me away with a fruity flavor in 24mg, told me to drink plenty of water, and you will stop smoking... It worked! I still enjoy the fruit flavor, and can not stand anything that tastes like tobacco. Pretty weird for a guy who doesn't eat much fruit and smoked 2+ packs of Reds a day for nearly 30 years!

    newbie question

This is totally correct! Like everyone above said, it a highly personal, individual experience. It can be frustrating at first, too many flavors, too many ratio's, different equipment. I feel this is part of the vaping experience that makes it far superior to all other quitting methods. You can tailor it to fit what you need/want.

    newbie question

Because vaping is different from burning tobacco and paper, you'll not find anything that tastes exactly like a cigarette. That said, when I first started vaping, I wanted something so completely different from tobacco and went with a fruit flavor -- I think it was orange cream like a dreamcicle. Might give other flavors a try to see if those will satisfy?

  6. which istick are you looking to get? The 20w,30w or 50w? I'd get the 50w, I have heard great things about them and I have used one.

Haha. Brilliant, Jonnoh as usual.... Vape gets in your eyes “Woke up, fell out of bed, dragged a comb across my head / Found my way downstairs and drank a cup, and looking up, I noticed I was late / Found my coat and grabbed my hat, made the bus in seconds flat / Found my way upstairs and had a vape, and somebody spoke and I went into a dream” “Come in here, dear boy, have a vape, you're gonna go far / you're gonna fly high, you're never gonna die / You're gonna make it if you try, they're gonna love you.”

    Masterpiece

There once was a young man named Dave Who kept cigarettes in a cave. He said I'll try vaping and cigarettes evading. Just think of the money I'll save. So young Dave a man of his word found vaping cool; smoking absurd. But for saving money the ideas now funny. Now by too many new things he's lured.

    newbie question

I'd only like to add - my first flavor was a tobacco wanna be. It was ok and it got me off cigs right away. I tried fruity sweet flavors but they were so "different" that I rejected them immediately. About 2 weeks in I found a couple of coffee flavors and BAM, I was hooked. I loved the subtle rich flavor without the "candy" overly sweet taste. For me, the more savory flavors, coffee, nutty, peanut butter, almond and some bakery flavors did the trick. Today they remain my go to flavors although I have broadened my horizons with some fruit flavors and Fadora Vapors makes a couple of fantastic mints and a lime margarita that kills. Somewhere about 3 months in, after I detoxed out of tobacco you couldn't pay me to vape a tobacco flavor, I was officially done and I never thought I'd say this because I "loved" my tobacco. Moral to the story: you gotta find what works and don't be surprised when it's a flavor you never imagined you'd like.

If you're not trying to imitate/match the flavor of tobacco, you're not trying to compare an apple to a potato. You'll get more satisfaction and enjoyment out of new flavors. Really!

  11. I smoked Newports for over 25 years and was looking for that "cool" sensation from menthol cigs. The B&M down the street from where I work suggested everything but tobacco and/or menthol. I was hesitant but they hooked me up with an amazing house blend of lemon and added a hint of menthol for me. Now I'm after anything but menthol or tobacco flavored. Give it a shot as others have suggested. It has worked wonders so far.

  13. If you get something with a changeable battery, you'll need to get the correct battery that will work with what coils and resistances you like. If you're going to sub-ohm, it's that much more critical to get the right battery for safety's sake. Then, with the external battery, you'll need a dependable, quality charger like the Nitecore Intellicharger. I love my Eleaf iStick 50W so much I just bought another one and am contemplating one more after that.

  17. That's awesome, Tam! You've been looking for a way to get rid of some of your "excess"... and paying it forward to a new vaper is the best way (and most rewarding, too)! Now, when you finish going through your mini-warehouse, lol, you'll probably find plenty more for the next person? I don't have much left for noobies, but next time I run across a cheap deal on eGo-T's and starter-tanks... I'll probably snag them for a noob-care-package An update on my co-worker... Today is her second day smoke-free, and she's been asking good questions about different coil resistances, settings on the iSticks, and about different style/brands of tanks. She's also bought additional tanks so she can have multiple flavors ready at all times If she can make it through the weekend without lighting-up, I think she'll be home-free! I also just found out that she has a little support at home, too... her niece is living with her (to go to college), and she's an on/off vaper... I think with both of them supporting each other, her niece will be encouraged to keep vaping, and they'll both be better for it.

  19. So I have been subohming on a mech since around Christmas, I just got an istick 50w and am in love!! (so much battery life) I just threw a build on that I had been using on my mech it reads at .2, and have been using the whole 50watts or so it says I have because its probably past the amp limit. If I built at lets say .5-.7 would I get a better vape because of surface area? My definition of a better vape is a denser warmer vape with more flavor.

Oh, I know... he's part of that 1% that give everyone else a bad name 99% of all the trucks I encounter on a daily basis are some of the best drivers on the planet, and go out of their way to ensure the safety of other drivers! Honestly, most truck drivers will move out of the way of a motorcycle (due to the wake they create), or if traffic is heavy, I've had trucks "shield" me from other cars, and allow me a clear path to "open road" before... I'd rather ride the Interstate with nothing but trucks, if I had that option

Good choice; I love mine. It holds plenty of eliquid, and the 22' diameter fits on most Mods. I really don't use the RDA, and would have gone with the Nano, but didn't like the 18' size. I've been vaping several years now, and this is the best tank I've ever had...the occ coils last a long time, too.

I had an old Escort that had one of the window-washer nozzles that was positioned too high, and it shot over my car, and landed about 10-15' behind me... perfect for tail-gaiters Now, on my motorcycle, I've been known to carry a few of the tiny air-soft paint-balls... they're tiny and don't leave a huge "splat" on the windshield, but a couple of those tossed over my shoulder onto a tail-gaiter will certainly make them BACK OFF! And the paint is water-soluble, so it won't leave any "permanent" damage

  45. Yeah, I am still excited for it. I pre-ordered 1/1/15 it was $79.99 and 35 watts. They said it would be released in early February. Here we are in March it is now a 50 watt mod, and it is $99.99. When I got the e-mail I was shocked today. This is the first I have heard out of them since I ordered it in January. I guess when it gets here, it gets here!
