  5. Now that I'm back in an office (not working from home), I have had LOTS of opportunities to talk to even more people about vaping! One of my co-workers had tried vaping a while back, and basically started out with an over-priced eGo from a smoke-shop... no support, no knowledge, and obviously gave it up rather quickly... She was asking about what I used, and what would be good for her to get started again. She wasn't really wanting to spend another $100 and get nothing out of it, so I set her up with one of my iStick 20W and a KPT2 as a loaner. I went with her on lunch today and helped her pick out a juice at the local vape shop, which fortunately was only a couple blocks from the office. I showed her how to adjust the Voltage / Wattage, disassemble the tank, fill the tank, change the coils, etc., and I also gave her a handful of coils I had re-built @ 2.2 Ohm (which are perfect for the iSticks!). Well, she just sent me an email, asking if I would sell her the iStick and tank, because she doesn't want to give them back She's hooked! She also wants me to go back with her tomorrow, so she can buy another battery and more tanks/coils/juice. I told her the blue iStick and KPT2 would be my gift to her, and I had a silver one I'd sell her for what I paid for it (from the VT store), to save her some $ over retail.... So, I guess tomorrow we'll be off to the vape shop again for more juice and additional tank shopping, lol. I think I'm nearly as excited as she is

I had an old Escort that had one of the window-washer nozzles that was positioned too high, and it shot over my car, and landed about 10-15' behind me... perfect for tail-gaiters Now, on my motorcycle, I've been known to carry a few of the tiny air-soft paint-balls... they're tiny and don't leave a huge "splat" on the windshield, but a couple of those tossed over my shoulder onto a tail-gaiter will certainly make them BACK OFF! And the paint is water-soluble, so it won't leave any "permanent" damage

  10. Here's adding to your story. A co-worker came to me because someone told her I was the "expert" on vaping. She got some bad news from her doctor who said she must quit smoking. She's only in her mid-thirties yet her lungs were that of a 70 year old. Just so happens that I have an extra back up of a back up with me. I gave it to her along with a charger and AC adapter, a 10 ml bottle of 24 ml juice that she fell in love with at first vape. When I got home tonight I went through some of my back up stuff and got two more eGo T batteries, another two chargers and one AC adapter, seven various tanks with extra coils... those all went into a goodie bag that will be gifted to her tomorrow. Then, I'll take her to the local B&M to get her more 24 mg juice so she can switch off. Might've saved her over a hundred bucks and got her off on the right foot.

If you or anyone else want to start a dedicated separate thread discussing coils of any sort, if we have at least 20 dedicated "coil" threads, Chris said he'll add a special section for it.

  14. I picked up a couple of 500gb Samsung 850's. They've come down in price a lot over the last year or two it's incredible. We have a store out here called Fry's which started price matching Amazon. So I hopped my *** down there for a good deal It's amazing how much of a speed boost you gain of them. I already have a pretty beefy system as it is but the SSD's really sped up my startup time. Though my biggest gripe was data transfer. It's not unusual for me to move around 80-100GB worth of data and I got tired of the transfer times. Right now I'm running two internal 500GB SSD's and on the outside you can see the hot swap bays. Those are hold a couple of 1TB hybrid drives. (Nothing fancy) and I've got two more in the locked drawer that are in cases. (Gotta keep backups of the backups) And yup gotta have the APC! It's saved my *** a few times. (I've got a pretty green system and I can pull about 30 minutes off that box alone)

  15. From one newbie to another, welcome to VT. You came to the right place. There's a lot of great, friendly people here. I just picked up the subtank mini with a Sigelei 100w last week. Loving both. I had an issue with the subtank "spitting", but I think that was operator error because the "spitting" has stopped.

  20. I should add that I'm using a .5 ohm coil at 24.1w while vaping this tank of The Virus with Custards Last Stand added. Honestly, I've not had a coil become bad, yet, but do notice that they swell where the coil screws in...I had the end break off of one.

None of the above... I just grab my spare rig, and worry about re-filling later If I'm on the bike, I'd first have to wonder how I was vaping and riding at the same time... I'd worry less about it being a "dry-hit", or at least worry about it secondly!

    What tank/battery?

There is an Aerotank mini that is also available. Unless of course your looking for more juice capacity. Also, for your battery upgrade might I suggest an iStick 50w by eLeaf. you don't have to use its full potential but the thing lasts for days on a full charge at low wattage settings. I get about 2 days on mine at 12w. Probably even more at a lower wattage.
