  1. It's a common misconception that higher (or lower) resistance (or Wattage, or Voltage) will affect vapor production in some huge fashion. Lower resistance coils operate hotter than higher resistance coils (considering same Voltage applied to them), because lower resistance coils will draw more Amps. Higher resistance coils draw fewer Amps, and therefore will prolong the life of your battery. Higher resistance coils also take longer to heat up (and longer to cool down), compared to lower resistance coils, which is why chain-vaping with high resistance coils is not desired, because it will heat up the atomizer/tank/juice. Study Ohm's Law a bit more, and you'll begin to see the relationship between Resistance, Voltage, Wattage, and Amps. Simply throwing more Voltage or Wattage to a coil does not make it produce more vapor or more flavor... there is a delicate balance between the variables, and it will not be the same for every person, every tank/RTA/RDA, every battery-device... because every person's tastes are different/unique, and we all perceive juice flavors differently. So, the short answer, no.. using a higher resistance coil will not give you more vapor. As I said above... VG content of the juice is what determines the potential for vapor production. From there, it's a balance of power, surface-area, heat, volume, and air-flow... There is no magic number of "use this juice, this ratio, this device and get max flavor/vapor"... if that were the case, there would not be thousands of different devices/juices on the market....

  2. Nope, wouldn't accept it if it were I think we've both spent our limits for a few weeks... and I want to give my new purchases a thorough run before recommending them, beyond "here is something that might work for you"... I FULLY endorse the IPV-minis and mini2... but they've (so far) proven to be everything they've said they would... I have a Cloupor mini on the way (Thanks for the best-price update, Jason), and hope it will perform as expected. If so, I'll see another in my near-future for perfect, light-weight, pocket-size travel companions....

  3. Yeah, I need to stop too... but it's soooo hard to do I think if I weren't so frustrated with the iSticks, I would not be looking to replace them, but I think the Cloupor minis may be the answer... good chip-set, good regulation, and still TINY size and tiny price-tag. I have plenty of the IPV-minis (and a V2), and always have my MVP for basic tanks... I just need something tiny and portable for travel... The iSticks are perfect size, but I just wish they didn't suck so badly in their chip-set, and to fix that would cost as much as a Cloupor anyway, so why not just go that route, right? Hey Tam... I have something new for you to buy

  4. Bought another bottle Boss Reserve today. Anyone out there switched from smoking to vaping and actually saved money?

  5. Hello everyone, never wanted to quit smoking (liked them too much) but due to other loved one's around me and knowing that one day they would probably get me, I went to a vape shop and started vaping, haven't picked up a cig in a year, has really been no problem for me (amazing since I smoked so much) can still be around smokers and I don't crave one, the smoke dosen't even bother me, still get to smoke without all the bad stuff in it. Started at 24mg and am now down to 9m. My question is what do y'all think about all the media hype on how it is just as bad as cigs for you, I don't believe it because I breath better and quit coughing about a week after I started!!

  6. Triangle Vape has the SmokTech Xpro M50 65W Box Mod from for $46, and the Efest 18650 2500mah 20A/35A IMR battery for $7. No need to buy a charger for the 18650 battery because the Xpro charges through a USB port and comes with a cable. Shipping is cheap & fast, too. I've had mine for a couple of weeks now and it has really impressed me.YMMV.

  7. With my iStick whateverthehellwatts that came in today, I think I'm set for a little while. I am, however, on the lookout for a small box mod like the iStick 20w but without the power issues. I love the IPV mini and the mini2 but they're a little on the heavy side. The iStick 20w has a nice, light feel to it that I'm searching for in my next purchase. Until then, I doubt you'll be able to tempt me into buying anything new. And no, that's not a challenge. Lol.

  8. Yeah......that's a whole lotta nope! I've spent a bunch in equipment but had I done my research first I probably would have only cut that cost by 1/3. Now that I pretty much have my equipment purchased I don't foresee buying anything for a while. In fact I've passed a few things on. As for juice, yeah I've dumped a ton in juice, well more like a ****-ton! I'm now down to 3 flavors I like and can actually do daily. You have to admit there are those that you like one day and the next you're like "what the hell was I thinking", I call these 'mullet juice(s)'. I thought having a mullet in High School was cool.....but it wasn't. I'm starting to make my own juice and once I get my formulas down I will save.

  9. Yes, I've actually saved money... maybe $4 overall, but man, I do feel better about spending money on vape-gear than analogs... and if I ever gave up on vaping, I can always SELL my used gear... you can't sell used cigarettes

  10. FYI, CVapor.com has the Cloupor mini (30W) for roughly the same price as an iStick 20W, and they are only a few millimeters larger than the iStick. Granted, they require a single 18650 battery, rather than being a self-contained unit like the iStick, but it may be something to consider?

  14. My girlfriend's dad has been smoking for the better part of 50 years. Not only a long time smoker but he smokes those "Santa Fe" little cigars/cigarillos or whatever they are called. Just hardcore stuff. 1.5 to 2 packs a day... He suffers from COPD. He gets out of breath very easily and it takes him a while to recover when he gets worked up. He's not on permanent oxygen but he's probably not far from it. Last week he was out shopping with us and after dinner, the walk from the restaurant door to the car got him very out of breath and he was breathing heavy for at least 10 more minutes after the 2 minute walk to the car. After we dropped her parents off at their house, I talked with my girlfriend about it and suggested that we try to get him on vapor instead of smoke. She said he'd never go for it because he'd never shell out the money for the equipment to get started because he's tight. He smokes those Santa Fe smokes because they cost less than $20 for a carton. That being the case, I decided to buy him some gear to try out. I got him an eLeaf iStick like mine and a Nautilus tank. I got him a 30ml bottle of Space Jam "Eclipse" at 24mg to get him started. We dropped by his house about 430pm this afternoon and I showed him how to work it. He had seen me using mine before and was a bit curious about it. I showed him how to refill the tank, fix any 'gurgling' that might occur, showed him how to not get juice in the wrong places when he fills it, how to hook it to his phone charger at night to charge the battery and got him puffing on it before I left. Since I'm making my own e-juices, I think he's interested in making it work for him since I told him he could essentially smoke for free because I'd keep him in the juices. I also discussed with him how I have switched from analogs to vapor and worked my way down the nicotine chain from 18mg liquids to 4mg liquids in just 2 months time. He knows I'm breathing and feeling better because I have started dieting and exercising again, which includes running that I could never do when I was smoking with 'smoke.' We called my gf's mom about 9pm to see how it was going. She said he hadn't smoked an analog since he started puffing vapor and he would have normally had 10 or more during that time. I'm hoping this will be a success story!
