Looking for advice on a new PV
jonnoh and one other reacted to DarthVaper for a topic
Hi all, long time forum veteran Darth Vaper here. Sorry I haven't been on the forums so much lately. I kinda settled into a groove with my Vamo v.5, my Kanger AeroTech tank and making my own eliquid. I haven't been keeping up with the new tech at all. The Vamo is working just fine for me, but it's too big and awkward to carry around when I go out. I have been using, (and don't laugh) eGo 900 mAh batteries (no, not even the VV ones) and an Evod BCC when I'm out and about. But the eGo batts are starting to get old and not hold much charge anymore. I'm looking for suggestions for a nice mod that fits well in the hand, is easy to use while driving and fits discreetly in a jacket pocket. The battery can be built-in or take protected batteries, doesn't matter. I generally like the EVOD tank, so something that would work with it or a similar tank is what I want. Not really into the whole sub-ohm thing as I don't understand it. I want something that's pretty low-maintenance, too - I haven't gotten into rebuildable atomizers, although I expect it's the next step (I mean hey, I'm already making my own juice!). I love this forum because you guys/gals always give great suggestions. I look forward to reading them! In other news, March 3rd will mark SIX YEARS since I last smoked an old stinky! I feel like I owe my life to the invention of e-cigarettes, because I never thought I'd be able to quit tobacco. Cheers all!2 points -

i currently run an ipv mini 30w...it works great and low maintanence, and fits my big bear claw hands just great... http://www.myvaporstore.com/iPV-Mini-30-Watt-MOD-Pioneer4you-p/p4u-ipv30bk.htm and that is currently on sale for $49.95 as well... i love this mod it works great for me and i run a mutation x v1 rda at 1.1 ohms @28 watts and can get a soilid 2-3 hours vape time on it. But this is just my opinion, it is clearly your call on what to purchase.2 points -
Despite all the fancy toys I have these days, my go-to favorites that I use most are still the Vision Spinner 1300 mAh (not the Spinner II). It's a variable voltage eGo type battery but a little bigger around than a 900 mAh. Just picked up two more at my local B&M today and I saw that Vision tweaked it a little. I like the new changes even better!2 points

The Kanger sub-tank comes with a 0.5 Ohm and 1.2 Ohm OCC head-unit. The Provari will not fire anything below 1.2 Ohms, you would only be able to use the 1.2 Ohm coil-heads. Also, if the coil head is not 1.2 Ohms or higher it won't work on the Provari... so there is a slim chance the coil will be 1.18 or something like that, and will not work.... not what you wanted to hear, but I thought I should toss it out there I've not tried the Kanger subtank either, but I want one... If you want to go that route, have you thought of a small box-mod like the IPV-mini? Right now you can get them for $40-50, and they use a single 18650 battery... very accurate, will work with the 0.5 Ohm OCC head, and will fire up to 30W, which is better performance than your Provari, in a hand-friendly size/shape. Kanger also has a K-box, which was designed to work specifically with the subtanks... 40W model is on sale at 101Vape.com right now for $27! A subtank and new mod would run you $60-70, depending on if you bought the full-size or mini subtank?1 point -
The original Aspire BVC coils for both Nautilus tanks had a ceramic wicking material. Cotton seems to be the preferred method for a lot of new tanks coming out. The Aspire Atlantis Sub-ohm tanks have it in the coils now. Aspire was getting flack from users about the safety of the ceramic material. Kanger Sub tanks came with cotton in the coils from day one. Those who drip and use RTA's, myself included, use cotton as a wicking material. It seems to wick the juice better than silica. I still use my Nautilus and Nautilus mini, as well as my Kayfun V4 clones. Sub-ohm tanks are new to the market and seem to be the rage. For the money I personally am looking at the Kanger Sub tank because you can replace the coils, or it has a rebuildable coil section you can use. Cotton is a good thing. Comp has a good post about different wicking materials and the performance of each. Not sue about better than the Nautilus tanks, except for maybe a rebuildable type. The Authentic Kayfun V4 has the ability to swap out the 510 connecter to one that directly fits the Provar, if you are into building your own coils.. How to get into dripping?
Compenstine reacted to Tam for a topic
Go to the top of this page, click on the magnifying glass and type in "direct dripping". Read through the threads and comments, you'll get a lot of good information on how to direct drip. There is a bit of a learning curve but it's not bad. My preferred gear is a good variable voltage battery, a direct dripping atomizer, a drip shield (these really are a must and will keep juice from running all over your fingers), and a drip tip. You can get atomizers, either bridged or debridged (I prefer the latter), and you don't have to learn how to build your own coils. The link below are the ones I learned on, they do have a bridge in them (little metal bridge that goes over the heating coil). http://www.vapelite.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=22_47&products_id=62 These days I've graduated to the Lamborghinis of atomizers, Custom HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid 510 Atomizer http://www.avidvaper.com/custom-hh-357-cisco-spec-hybrid-510-atomizer/ The HH.357 have more of a learning curve than the Boge in the first link.1 point -

Increased Crankiness and Hunger.....Withdrawals?
stangmama77 reacted to jasonculp for a topic
I usually start at the lowest wattage setting and work my way up. You can do the same on voltage setting. You will know when it gets too high, either the vape will get too warm or the juice will start tasting burnt. I usually start on wattage and go up in 1 watt increments then once I find a spot that is close, fine tune as necessary. Hope this helps!1 point -

But if you cant tell the chick in tight leather dosent want to discuss Cognitive Behavioral Therapy you might have wandered into the wrong place.....1 point -
Most definitely could be part of withdrawls. Up your nic. Increase multi vitamins. Get your sleep. Maybe vape 24 during day and cut back at night if you have sleep problems. B vitamins, B complex and calcium magnesium are key to restful sleep. Hope that helps1 point

I have an MVP 20 watt as well. I tried the istick and to me it just seemed kinda cheaply made. I went with the MVP based on its track record and am glad I did.I plan to gat an Mvp 3 soon if they come down to the 40 dollar range. Who knows though. If there's a 40-50 watt version in the works I'll probably wait for one of those.1 point

I have the MVP 20w and I love it.The battery seems to last forever and its just an extremely well built device.I would definitely go for the MVP 20w.1 point
