  5. I can't disagree with the fake Sony issues. But, that makes me nervous too when Efest is re wrapping them... Are they legit... and by no means am I saying they are not. I just think the vaping industry has enough issues without adding to them. It can't really be stopped so, As Rixter said, best we can do is do the research and make sure what we are using is right for the job we are using them for. Even though there is not much I can do, I still can't help but think of the person that didn't do the research and blows their hand or face off because of irresponsible markings. Having said that, I use what EFests I have in my APVs. I just "personally" would not trust it in a mech and a low ohm build. I would much rather use what I know is safe for what I do with them. That's all I'm saying

  6. You know... at this point I'm going to suggest you do a little more research before building anymore dual coils. If you're not already familiar with Ohm's Law, that might be the place to start. Safety first.

    Milestone

After vaping on and off for a couple years now and still smoking a few cigarettes this current attempt, I have now reached my first milestone. I've gone over 24 hours and not a single cigarette. This may finally be it for me and I'm pretty excited I think I finally found the right type of setup and vv/vw has been my game changer. Very happy right now and just wanted to share.

  9. VaporRange.com just got the champagne and pink mini2's in last weekend... $65 and free shipping! I've ordered all 3 of my IPVs through them, and if my mail would run (thanks to all this snow), I might get the two new ones I'm expecting

Hi - I'm new here - been vaping for 1year today no cigs for 8 months - can't go back now - since I have changed to an MVP with variable volts and watts it is a whole new ball game - I am using an Aspire K1 tank on an Innokin MVP2 - looking at a nautilus mini - any views.

  13. I agree with this... I have built coils below 0.5 Ohms and did not care for the results... now I stick above 0.5 (usually 0.8 range), and for me, any 20A battery is going to give me ample lee-way I've almost bought Efest batteries in the past, but when I can get Samsung 25r's for ~ $6.50 each from the local shop or from Amazon, I'm calling that a win-win... cheaper than Efest and guaranteed reliability/performance. I also use Sony VTC4's that I bought from Comp, but I would not have bought them from anywhere I didn't trust... like the Efest issues, there are way too many Sony's sold that aren't Sony!

Glenn is a good egg in both the TV series and the graphic novels, but there's no way to avoid spoilage if I say any more than that on the subject. Let's just say that having read every issue, I'm glad that the TV series doesn't exactly follow the timeline and events of the comics. Say hello to Negan.

    best flavor RDA

Yeah, I do Perhaps I've not used the Stillare long enough to find my sweet-spot for it, but I've got the Magma dialed-in for my favorite dripping juice, and that same set-up doesn't work for the Stillare. Perhaps one day I'll put forth more effort on it. Which proves your point... what works best for you is the best RDA for you

There's some controversy as to whether or not Efest's labeled discharge rates are accurate or not. With the purple 2500mAh battery, they claim 20 amps continuous and 35 amp pulse (momentary). With the 2100mAh version, they only state 30 amps, and it's unclear as to whether that mean continuous or pulse. Since the store you're getting them from suggests .5Ω and above, I'd stick with that. Personally, I've found no need to make coils any lower than .5Ω...that creates plenty of vapor in an RBA with airflow like the Plume Veil has. Remember that if you plan on using a dual-coil setup and want to achieve a .5Ω total load, you'll need to make two 1Ω coils, since when using two coils, you half the resistance of each coil. That's why having a meter is so critical...it's the most important piece of equipment you can have.

I think Glen needs to go. His character has pretty much run its course on the show. They need to keep Maggie around for eye candy

  25. Personally I like 28 gauge. I usually do dual coils, 6 wraps, 2mm diameter. It puts me at .3 and .4 on my plume and dark horse. I get really good vapor production and good flavor. Also its warm vape not really hot. I use mech, Emma with mxjo battery.

For the most part, a battery is a battery is a battery The MVP is a variable Voltage / Variable Wattage device, which means you can adjust the voltage OR Wattage to suit your tastes (and your juice) to maximize the flavor... hitting the sweet-spot of the right amount of power to your coil to bring out the best of your juice. When you have different tanks, different coil resistances, different juices, etc. you will find that a VV/VW device far more useful than a simple 3.7V stick... although there is absolutely nothing wrong with a single-Voltage stick battery... it's whatever works best for you I still have an eGo-T that gets used at least once per week.... Vapor production is a factor of the juice (higher VG content), resistance of the coil, and the amount of power (Voltage/Wattage, which is in reality the Amps) applied to the coil. Cloud chasers prefer super-sub-Ohm multi-coil builds and high Amps (Wattages) to get a lot of heat, which maximizes the burn. Your average vaper is quite satisfied with a basic Kanger/Aspire tank, 1.5 - 2.0 Ohm coil and a battery capable of pushing 3.7V

Both this site and this site contain some pretty good information on Ohm's Law and how it relates to vaping, and you'll need to pick up an ohmmeter so you can know what your RBA's coil resistance is at any given moment (yes...it can change over time).

  31. hey jFog - thanks for the post. The study appears to be well thought out. - We know who did the story (JHB has creditably) but we need question who 'funded' the research. Now, lets do the same test with ash burning real cigarettes - did the mice even live to finish the test? Ok, I'll say it: you should never expose your body to any substance that is not in your bodies organic beneficial interest. Major arguments, yet to see discussed: 1. Some juices contain sugar. Sugars crystallize when heated..... correct? 2. Your inhaling vapors from a heated coil (heavy metals). Can't see that as a perfect thing. With that said ----- Vaping has proven to get long term smokers off cigarettes (never seen before conversion rates) and I have yet to see any data to outweigh that ongoing and demonstrated fact. 3 cheers for Vapers (winks at TAM)

    like or hate and why?

So you better understand this I will need to first explain ohms law. ohm is the measure of resistance from a material to electrical conductivity. The higher the ohms = higher the resistance. more resistance = less flow of electrons. the ohms law equation can be done 3 ways: V= IR, I = V/R, R = V/I. Most commonly we will use I = V/R for vaping because we usually already know the values of V and R. (V= voltage or pressure, R = ohms or resistance, and I = amperage or current.) So for your average replaceable tank we will say it has a 1.8ohm coil in it. Now we will assume you decide to use it on a mech mod which has zero regulations on it. whatever the battery is charged at is what is going to that coil when you fire it, so assuming we have a fully charged battery (4.1-4.2v) this is the amperage we would be pulling from the battery: 4.2V / 1.8R = 2.33I which also translates to 9.8watts of power. now lets look at my current sub ohm build: 4.2V / 0.5R = 8.4I (35.28watts) notice the amperage and wattage difference just by changing the coil? This becomes very important because batteries have an amperage rating that should not be exceeded, and it is important to know what that rating is, and what you will be demanding from it. In my case for example I know that my batteries are rated for 10Ampers (10I) of continuous use, or 15Ampers (15I) of short pulsed useage. If I were to draw more than 10A continuously I can risk the battery exploding because it would become hot very quickly and drain faster than it was made to drain... think of a wrench falling between the posts of the battery in your car...very bad...sparks and rapid heat and explosions may occour... so if I were to run anything lower than 0.42ohms from my batteries, I could risk my battery overheating and exploding in my mech mod when my battery is fully charged... more realistically 0.41R would be the limit for my batteries as my chargers both stop at 4.1V. Now the fancier and safer VTC5 batteries from sony can handle 30A continuous load (30I) so that means they can handle firing a coil with 0.14Ohm resistance max. beyond that gets dangerous for them and probably ridiculously hot for the user... if/when you decide to use a sub ohm setup, download the ohms law calculator on your smart phone and be sure the coil you use will stay within your batteries limits. As for the reason people like to use sub-ohm setups: more flavor and more vapor as the wire is generally thicker which has less resistance so we can make a coil with more surface area on the wick and with that less resistance it gets more power to get hot faster thus vaporizing more juice in less time which gives us the bennefits of the flavor and vapor. the higher the number of ohms, the slower it fires, and generally produces less vapor and less flavor.

I've heard about the lack of warning/info included with the atlantis tank and agree the safety aspect should be included whith the product. However, I take issue with your discription of "lazy noobs". Everyone of us were noobs at some point. We choose our path as we learn what works for us. Unfortuinately if we call ppl lazy because they are new, they likely won't ask questions to learn the important facts that go along with a product like this. Our goal should be focused on education for all. Promoteing that for the new members/vapers. I don't meen to rant, just would hate to see a guest/lurker to feel like they can't ask a question for fear of being labled.
