    I did it!

Made it to the 1 year mark! Today it is one year that I started vaping and got off the stinkies! Just had to share! Thank you all for the help, support and friendship! I have learned so much from all of you and have a acquired several new "tools" to help me make this a success. The first year in over 30 years I haven't smoked. Here's to year 2!!

  2. Yep, I read this a while back... totally one-sided, bought-and-paid-for results in the guise of "science". Coming from the Bloomberg School of Public Health should tell you all you need to know

Funny, I don't recall any of us ever being accused of being mentally mature before...

    Options...Now what?

The Nautilus is a juice hog (just my opinion and experience). If you want a little more economy, I'd pick up a Kanger Pro Tank 2 (or Pro Tank mini) and some 1.8 ohm single coils. If you get the full sized Pro Tank, I'd also pick up an Aerotank airflow controller, they're cheap and really maximizes the tank.

    Crime of the Century

A purchase of iStick can't go wrong. Though the cost of it's one million dong. Purchased in Saigon I think it's a come on With a plug designed by Viet Cong. Now one million dong's fifty dollars. Making the shop owners robbers. Should cost less than forty Back home I screamed "Lordy" They cheated me out or ten dollars.

  6. Awesome! If I order it today, I can have it by August My order placed on 1/3 to Fasttech was packaged and shipped on 2/3, and has been sitting in a Chinese PO since 2/4... and hasn't moved an inch It still has a week to get to Chicago (US Customs), where it will sit another 7-10 days... I figure I'll eventually receive it by mid-March or early April...

  7. I agree 100% T-Bone. There has got to be something else in them. I have had a cold for the past week and haven't been able to try my juice from Comp just yet. (I ordered 36mg) The old 10mg juice I have was burning my lungs... This is the sick part... I can still smoke a full pack of full flavor 100's every day and my lungs go numb and I don't feel a throat hit at all. That's just discusting if you ask me. I so happy I'm starting to feel better today. So much new equipment and juice sitting here looking at me...lol

    Panzer Black Hawk Clone

Both this site and this site contain some pretty good information on Ohm's Law and how it relates to vaping, and you'll need to pick up an ohmmeter so you can know what your RBA's coil resistance is at any given moment (yes...it can change over time).

    Panzer Black Hawk Clone

Okay that was the kind I had looked at that he suggested and he said he would make me a set of 0.2 0.3 and 0.4 as well as some some extra kanthal and have one set of coils already in it and wicked and Cotton and considering the black hawk clone runs 45 dollars and the Plume Veil Clone runs 20 I think I'm getting a pretty good deal for 30 dollars!

    little boy rda duel coil

You know... at this point I'm going to suggest you do a little more research before building anymore dual coils. If you're not already familiar with Ohm's Law, that might be the place to start. Safety first.

Most of us on this forum are big fans of Fadora juices and even bigger fans of Compenstine (the owner of Fadora). He's a good egg. Welcome to Vapor Talk.

    Tank Question

Sorry, no experience with the Smok GBC, but whenever I hear of a tank leaking, it's usually the coil. Might change it out to another one to see if that's the culprit?

    Crime of the Century

Indeed "dong". Everytime I'm there I have a hard time with the straight face thingy when some cute young thing in a shop or restaurant asks me for dong. Sheesh! Then of course I'm required to ask, "how many dong?". The laughing fit just a millimetre away. I'm tempted to come back with "you mean *******?"

    Apollo Products?

We have such a great group of vapors here. We have people who like a cool, mild vape, to the cloud chasers and everything in between. They all have great advice and will do all they can to keep you off the stinkys!

  19. You know how to reach me. Just fair warning all I have is a 8ml sample size of Cranberry flavoring so I can't mix a lot at the moment.

    Lotus Jellyfish Box Mod

I watched Phil's review of it last night. It is amazing what some people think you would want in a box mod. Especially after the iStick mean calculation. I actually think it looks cool, and has a big battery, but after reading about it .... no thank you.

  22. Nannies don't need a precedent, or scientific facts... for example... Global Warming Climate Change ($$ and "control" drives that one, not common sense) VA banned charity car-washes (because Chlorine might get into the water-table) CT banned whole milk for day-cares (because it will stop obesity in children) MT lawmaker is attempting to ban yoga-pants, short-skirts, and men's exposed nipples (because he doesn't like to look at them, poses 5-yr prison sentence for 3-strike 'wardrobe offense', which is better than the current 'life-sentence' ) MD bans Vaportinis (because you should drink your alcohol, not vape it, and one legislator thinks it "looks unsafe") MN spends tens of thousands of tax dollars to put up signs "Feral cat colonies are prohibited on federal property" (because cats can read apparently, and always do what they are told) MO bans mothers from breastfeeding near public pools (for sanitary reasons, despite allowing dogs to swim in public pools) VA dept of education bans lip balm (carry or use) in the school (because someone in CA might be allergic to beeswax, and apparently lip-balm has been known to attack unsuspecting teens in the hallways... I'm sure they have video proof...) and the best of the past year... FDA classifies sunscreen as a "drug", and refuses to approve ingredients used in Europe and Asia (since 1997, because sunscreen is classified as a 'cosmetic' everywhere but in the US) as "safe", and therefore renders our current sunscreen market horribly ineffective at blocking UVa, UVb, and UVc, compared to products you can buy anywhere else in the world (for pennies compared to US products)!

    Best mod for Newbie

I looked at the istick at my B&M. I never thought I'd want a box mod but I really liked the features for the price. It did feel sort of cheaply made however. I ran across a great deal on the MVP 20 watt and was sold. If you don't mind the box form I would say MVP all the way. You can find the 2.0 and the 20 watt versions anywhere from 20 to 40 dollars.

  24. I picked up another bottle of Krankberry in 6mg from my local B&M on Saturday, and just got a "good" look at it. Hmm... the label changed... Nope, not the house-brand stuff (which is made in their own on-site lab)... this is Fuzion Vapor Krankberry I loaded up my Kayfun V4, and immediately noticed Fuzion is NOT 30/70 mix... it's 50/50?... and the wonderful airy sweet/tart/pucker with salivating after-taste flavor is replaced with a candy inhale and sour aftertaste (like sour gummies). The vape is like a blue-raspberry Icee, with a harsh, artificial sour aftertaste, which reminds me of some of the Jolly Rancher juices I've tried. I sure hope this stuff gets better after it ages a bit... or I'll be begging for the house-brand next time I stop by there.... either that or Comp needs to start mixing some up for me

  25. I've got dozens of issues with reports like these... the report is slanted hard to the left, and we're talking about the education system... where they expel kindergartners for bringing one of their green-army-men to school with them. Our downward spiral is caused by all these feel-good, do-as-I-say, politically-correct nannies... and it's hard to get a grip on the porcelain when you're floating in a circle!!

  26. Just re assure him it is normal for the first week or two and having the right flavor is important. Sounds like he is doing very well. I suggest a cigar or tobacco flavor mix as an option.

  27. He smoked 4 or 5 little cigars today. He's still vaping the Space Jam Eclipse and he's not too keen on the flavor of it I don't think. I am going to put him on something else in the next couple days... 4 or 5 is still better than 25-30 so progress is being made

    I did it!

Since vaping gives me wicked dry mouth I've cut Coke and sweet tea. I'm doing about 2-3 liters of water a day I've dropped about 8 pounds in the last 30 days. Yeah me!

  32. One of my favorites was a vote option (private Ryan, and probably my favorite fictional), but my other 2, which tie it, were actually docudramas, and one was a mini series: 'The Lost Battalion' (Ricky Schroeder) and 'Band of Brothers', whose interviews with the survivors teared me up many times.

    I did it!

Congrats! I'm at 10 months now myself. Seems like smoking was a lifetime ago now lol 12 years of smoking ended for me on april 9th 2014. I tried vaping several times before that but it was hit and miss due to cheap poor quality chinesium equipment. When I finally got a decent device working properly, that is when I put down the analogs and haven't looked back!

  34. I don't think I'll ever do zero. I never could develop a taste for caffeine free coffee. I don't see nicotine as the problem at all. Not even in tobacco products. I know the idiot FDA and equally intelligent congress got big tobacco to admit nicotine is addictive, but I believe after almost 50 years smoking experience other additives (not disclosed) are the REAL culprits. I can forget my vaping products and not go all OCD but when I was smoking I'd really walk a mile for a Camel or whatever through a typhoon or tsunami or whatever. Now when for some reason I can't vape it only feels about the same as if I can't have another coffee. I see no reason to drink decaffeinated coffee and I see no reason to vape zero nicotine.

    Quitting smoking

The way to quit smoking by substituting vaping is simple... but it's in this order... Willpower High enough level of nicotine level to help stave off cravings Willpower Good tasting juice (fruits, candy, bakery... all good things to get you away smoking) Willpower Reliable tank and battery (at least two of each so you can switch flavors and have one charging while you use the other) Willpower A good support-group, like the fine folks on this forum!! PS, don't feel bad if you don't quit tomorrow... it's not an Olympic event, not a race, and there are no penalty points for having to have a few smokes as you get into vaping... everyone is different!
