    Apollo Products?

Here I thought I was good at spending other people's money. Earthling789 has me beat! He won't steer you wrong though. You'll be very happy with your purchases that he recommends, but your wallet will also be much lighter.

    Intro/newbie review

So i have been a smoker for about 13 years. It was hard to believe it when I first realized that! I recently had my first child and said I would quit when he was born. I found myself smoking in the parking lot of the hospital. I then told myself I would quit smoking on my 30th birthday (several months later). I was semi-successful, but found myself substituting with snus. I wasn't smoking much at home, but I would smoke at least a pack a day when at work. I have a stressful job and I am in a car a lot, both are smoking triggers! In the past I tried the Blu's and other comparable ecigs. Not much help. I also bought an ego. It didnt help me at the time. I was semi committed to quitting, but i tried to mimic smoking with tobacco flavored juice. I found out quickly that NO juice can replicate smoking a cig. So i continued to smoke. I tried to quit again using Snus, using my son as the reason. My Snus use increased, and I was down to a pack a month. But, in my stressful job, and driving all the time, it wasn't hard for a co-worker to bum me a smoke. I also made an excuse saying that I could buy just one pack a month. Anyway, this is getting longer that I wanted! I purchased an Evod 2 starter kit with two juices... Gummy bear and tobacco. The tobacco didn't taste like smoking and the gummy bear was tasty! I thought to myself, perhaps i need to find something better than smoking, instead of trying to find an equal replacement. I then ordered 3 flavors from Fandora... PBFB, Fruity Tootie,, and Hydra Delight. I also went to the local shop and purchased a few new tanks to hold the new juice (mini protank 3's) The PBFB was purchased due to all of the great reviews on this site. When I opened it, I could smell the peanut butter. I tried it, and it definitely tasted like the description! It was good, but I have never been a desert person. The more I used it, the more I liked it. I always felt like I needed to be sitting with a glass of milk though! I then tried the tootie fruity. I was hooked! It was great! This was my kinda flavor! It has subtle changes and a hint of cream. I then went to the store to get one more tank to try the hydra delight. They didnt have anymore Tanks that would use the same coil that the Protank used. I went home and rinsed the tank out that used to hold the tobacco flavor. I couldn't get rid of the tobacco flavors smell until i boiled the tank for 7 minutes. I filled it with the hydra delight from fandora. Holy Crap! This is delicious! This is by far the best tasting juice i have had. I like my variety, but i have to make sure i get some more Hydra Delight! I just wanted to share my experience. If you are a smoker, don't try to duplicate the flavor with vapor. You can get even better results vapin, but nothing mimics it.

  4. Just opened a new pack of Nautilus BVC's and noticed a couple of things. 1. The warning card that came inside the box. 2. The size increase of to juice holes I have one in my Nautilus mini soaking right now with Fadora Vapor's new sample of Coffee w/cream and sugar. So I get to test two products at once.

    Crime of the Century

A purchase of iStick can't go wrong. Though the cost of it's one million dong. Purchased in Saigon I think it's a come on With a plug designed by Viet Cong. Now one million dong's fifty dollars. Making the shop owners robbers. Should cost less than forty Back home I screamed "Lordy" They cheated me out or ten dollars.

  6. My girlfriend's dad has been smoking for the better part of 50 years. Not only a long time smoker but he smokes those "Santa Fe" little cigars/cigarillos or whatever they are called. Just hardcore stuff. 1.5 to 2 packs a day... He suffers from COPD. He gets out of breath very easily and it takes him a while to recover when he gets worked up. He's not on permanent oxygen but he's probably not far from it. Last week he was out shopping with us and after dinner, the walk from the restaurant door to the car got him very out of breath and he was breathing heavy for at least 10 more minutes after the 2 minute walk to the car. After we dropped her parents off at their house, I talked with my girlfriend about it and suggested that we try to get him on vapor instead of smoke. She said he'd never go for it because he'd never shell out the money for the equipment to get started because he's tight. He smokes those Santa Fe smokes because they cost less than $20 for a carton. That being the case, I decided to buy him some gear to try out. I got him an eLeaf iStick like mine and a Nautilus tank. I got him a 30ml bottle of Space Jam "Eclipse" at 24mg to get him started. We dropped by his house about 430pm this afternoon and I showed him how to work it. He had seen me using mine before and was a bit curious about it. I showed him how to refill the tank, fix any 'gurgling' that might occur, showed him how to not get juice in the wrong places when he fills it, how to hook it to his phone charger at night to charge the battery and got him puffing on it before I left. Since I'm making my own e-juices, I think he's interested in making it work for him since I told him he could essentially smoke for free because I'd keep him in the juices. I also discussed with him how I have switched from analogs to vapor and worked my way down the nicotine chain from 18mg liquids to 4mg liquids in just 2 months time. He knows I'm breathing and feeling better because I have started dieting and exercising again, which includes running that I could never do when I was smoking with 'smoke.' We called my gf's mom about 9pm to see how it was going. She said he hadn't smoked an analog since he started puffing vapor and he would have normally had 10 or more during that time. I'm hoping this will be a success story!

    Lotus Jellyfish Box Mod

I watched Phil's review of it last night. It is amazing what some people think you would want in a box mod. Especially after the iStick mean calculation. I actually think it looks cool, and has a big battery, but after reading about it .... no thank you.

  8. Nannies don't need a precedent, or scientific facts... for example... Global Warming Climate Change ($$ and "control" drives that one, not common sense) VA banned charity car-washes (because Chlorine might get into the water-table) CT banned whole milk for day-cares (because it will stop obesity in children) MT lawmaker is attempting to ban yoga-pants, short-skirts, and men's exposed nipples (because he doesn't like to look at them, poses 5-yr prison sentence for 3-strike 'wardrobe offense', which is better than the current 'life-sentence' ) MD bans Vaportinis (because you should drink your alcohol, not vape it, and one legislator thinks it "looks unsafe") MN spends tens of thousands of tax dollars to put up signs "Feral cat colonies are prohibited on federal property" (because cats can read apparently, and always do what they are told) MO bans mothers from breastfeeding near public pools (for sanitary reasons, despite allowing dogs to swim in public pools) VA dept of education bans lip balm (carry or use) in the school (because someone in CA might be allergic to beeswax, and apparently lip-balm has been known to attack unsuspecting teens in the hallways... I'm sure they have video proof...) and the best of the past year... FDA classifies sunscreen as a "drug", and refuses to approve ingredients used in Europe and Asia (since 1997, because sunscreen is classified as a 'cosmetic' everywhere but in the US) as "safe", and therefore renders our current sunscreen market horribly ineffective at blocking UVa, UVb, and UVc, compared to products you can buy anywhere else in the world (for pennies compared to US products)!

  10. My MVP 2.0 was my daily go-to device for more than 8 months. I was using eGo-T's for a few weeks, and once I bought the MVP, the eGo's were backups and traveling buddies I'm with you Jason... without the MVP, I think I would have had a much harder time getting over those rough spots and heavy cravings! I still use my MVP several times a week with my Kanger tanks, even though I have more powerful devices and Mech-mods. And, even though I can go 30W or higher on some of my devices... the RTA's and juices I use most often, taste best between 10 and 18W...

    Apollo Products?

I felt a disturbance in the Force... someone needs me to spend their money? Tam's just happy with the recommendations I've made for her... although I've yet to get her to buy an RTA, but I'm still trying, lol. When I make a recommendation, It's based on research and/or personal experience... usually more of the latter, and like my momma always said... buy QUALITY, and you'll never regret spending a few bucks more on the purchase, because you'll not have to spend that money again any time soon (if ever). Based on the things listed above, Comp is exactly right, the Apollo batteries you have are EVOD clones (or re-branded), and should work very well for you. If you want to upgrade to an all-in-one rechargeable box-style variable voltage/wattage device, I would recommend the iStick 30W over the 20W all day long, and would also recommend the Innokin MVP 2.0 or 20W models. Both MVP's are bullet-proof, work-horse devices. Another good built-in battery device is the SMY35. It's a little more stick-like than the iStick or MVP, but still packs a good charge and goes to 35W. Any of these VV/VW box-style will work well with your Nautilus

  14. I have an issue with binge-buying... I'll go months without buying anything other than a bottle of juice here or there... and then I'll drop big $$ for a couple of weeks... I went 4-months back in the summer, buying only a couple of bottles of "something different" juice, and then spent $150 buying two mech mods, batteries, charger (even though I already had a good one), and an RDA (along with Kanthal, Japanese cotton, etc). After that binge-buy... nothing until Christmas We won't even discuss what I've bought in the past 6-weeks

    New Nautilus BVC Coils

I noticed that on the last couple boxes I bought. Do you think they have changed to cotton? I didn't get to test since I got them in and sent them right out in a PIF package... Dang...if I would have read closer, it says COTTON right on the warning...

  23. I currently consume 10ml/day. There are 3785ml in a gallon, divide that by 10ml and that's 378.5 days. Of course when you add flavor only for max VG your yield will go up a little but I figure that giving a few 30ml bottles to friends along the way 2 gallons will last me 2 years 'if' I don't screw up any batches so 2 gallons is a sound investment IMO. Considering the average juice is $15/30ml, that's not the overpriced national brands that are $20-$23@ I have calculated that for my personal consumption, ie- not having to buy labels, bottles, etc I can make my own for about $0.41 per 30ml with flavor added.

    Leaking question

It could be the coil... it could be the fact that your tank is cracked, broken o-ring, or base is not sealing well.... all of these will cause of failure of vacuum seal, and will allow the juice to leak into the center-tube or onto the battery. "Some" leakage onto the battery contact is normal. you just have to swab off the battery contact any time you remove the tank, and if you get a little gurgle occasionally, hold a tissue under the tank's base and blow gently through the mouthpiece/drip-tip. It will clear the excess drop or two.

    Options...Now what?

The Nautilus is a juice hog (just my opinion and experience). If you want a little more economy, I'd pick up a Kanger Pro Tank 2 (or Pro Tank mini) and some 1.8 ohm single coils. If you get the full sized Pro Tank, I'd also pick up an Aerotank airflow controller, they're cheap and really maximizes the tank.

  27. lol talk about a roller coaster ride eh? Let me explain what's happening here for the tech inclined. We use a cache plugin that helps run the front end of the site (Store, Blog etc) Basically it should only cache items in our root folder and should ignore /forum/. However, it's not following the ignore rules like it should. Vapor Talk has a CDN network these days that helps keep the forum, store, blog etc loading nice and speedy no matter your location. The forum and the front end both have their own cache plugins that help manage this. But, this one particular plugin is being a little b....heh...it's the forum let me rephrase, it's not doing what it's supposed to. At any rate I've notified the developers about the issue and they're going to release a patch in the next week or two. Remember this is developer time so it could take longer. Once I have that update my ignore rules will start working and it will stop trying to simplify the /smokefree and /forums folder When you see the smoker banner coming back it's because I have the cache module turned off. You'll notice this happens mostly at night. That's because I need the cache system offline while I update major core files. At any rate once it's fully fixed, I'll be sure to post back here and don't worry I won't forget our beloved smoke banner I'm also under some pressure by the board to finish up another sister site we're currently building So a few things here on the forum are on the back burner so I don't get the pitch fork.
