Quitting smoking
ecignut and 3 others reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
The way to quit smoking by substituting vaping is simple... but it's in this order... Willpower High enough level of nicotine level to help stave off cravings Willpower Good tasting juice (fruits, candy, bakery... all good things to get you away smoking) Willpower Reliable tank and battery (at least two of each so you can switch flavors and have one charging while you use the other) Willpower A good support-group, like the fine folks on this forum!! PS, don't feel bad if you don't quit tomorrow... it's not an Olympic event, not a race, and there are no penalty points for having to have a few smokes as you get into vaping... everyone is different!4 points -

I mix bourbon and peach flavors together. Tastes just like my favorite "adult beverage" minus the sprite/7up fizz! That's what I'm vaping at the moment!2 points

I must admit, for simplicity's sake, CE4s are great: just use and throw the whole thing away. They were the best thing going when I first started vaping.2 points -
What can I say? It pays extremely well.2 points

White brownies are called, "Blondies." I always mix blueberry and peppermint. It sounds strange but tastes so good at around 80% blueberry and 20% peppermint. A tiny amount of peppermint goes a long ways.2 points

Being a vet I found this awesome

(Admin move if I'm in the wrong) How YOU Can Help http://www.vapeavet.org/ A lot of people ask us; how can I get involved and help out? Well, it depends! There are TONS of ways to help support our mission! For Retailers: 1. If you’re a Brick and Mortar Retailer consider carrying Bottle Ready to Vape Liquids. 100% of the profits made from the sale of BRV Liquids are donated to the Vape a Vet Project and are used to fund the purchase of kits, pay for shipping, and cover the cost of outreach and support. 2. If you’re a Juice Manufacturer, you can make a special flavor and use our logo on it and donate a portion of sales of that particular flavor to the project. It’s a really neat way to show vapers that you support the cause, and it really helps! 3. For Juice Manufacturers and Mod Makers, you can always donate to the care packages we send monthly. We separate, package and distribute numerous care packages every month to soldiers around the world at no cost to them. Items donated must be new, unopened and not expired. (We treat e-juice similar to food, you wouldn’t donate a half eaten hamburger to someone would you?) 4. If you’re an online retailer, consider making a coupon code with a matching donation. We suggest using the code VAPEAVET and maybe giving the individual 5% off their order with a 5% matching donation. It’s a great chance to do a little more while offering a chance for your customers to save some money. For Vapers: 1. The single easiest way of supporting the project is by supporting BRV Liquids. Since that’s one of the main funding mechanisms for Vape a Vet, it’s a really easy way of supporting the Project by doing something you already do! You already vape, why not do a little more with the same money you’re already spending. Vape for a Cause! 2. Talk to your local retailers, tell them about what we’re doing and ask them why they aren’t involved (if they aren’t). If they are involved give them a high 5 on us! Or, if that’s not the cool thing to do now, maybe a fist bump? I dunno, I’m not that cool. 3. Spread the word! If you have family or friends who are serving or who have served who are current tobacco users, let them know about this amazing chance to give vaping a chance at no cost to them. Thank you for everything that you do as a community, we couldn’t do it without you!1 point -

Are you DIYing your juice? The reason I ask is back when I first started DIY and used VG from walmart or walgreens I got the same phlem in my thoat. When I changed to a better quality VG this went away.1 point -
Specs on the 25r are for continuous drain such as a flashlight. Remember these are "SAFE CHEMISTRY" batteries which means they don't "blow up" as people seem to believe or can't get it out of their head anyway. I personally have used these batteries quite frequently at super sub ohm being responsible and checking the charge on the batteries not letting them get below 3.6 before recharging. Just because I don't want the batteries too drained, not for fear of anything getting hot. Safety is always best and depending on the RDA and Mod your using its all a factor you can get nice clouds at a .2-.3 vape all day, I'm not saying chain vaping as that will strain your 25r or any battery, but regular vaping at .15 a 25r will last me all day. Specs are Not considered on a battery for pulse vaping. Its the lack of practical application actual use of these batteries and such that feeds big tobaccos agenda imo. That being said if we are going express a opinion perhaps it should be a bit more researched. Safety is always first ohm meters well charged batteries, maintain your equipment. In light of the new testing going on ATM to be on the safe side I would suggest staying at .2 or above perhaps until we figured out the formaldehyde reality. That would certainly be more realistic a concern then the improbability of a battery having problems but you want to be aware as I said of your charge of your battery to maintain its life. Congrats on no smoking.1 point

The 650mAh eGo-T and Ce4 combo kits are the go-to $10 rigs, sold at finer gas-stations across America Seriously, of the 3 B&M's within 20 miles of me, two of them PUSH Ce4 clearomizers... mostly because they can sell them at 2/$7 and people think they are getting a bargain... and we all know you can buy a 100-pack for pennies (direct from China).1 point -
At first, you might want to stay away from other smokers until you get into vaping and don't smoke cigarettes anymore. Then, if you can stand the smell, you can go hang out with the smokers again.1 point

I am an all around aircraft nut. I do really enjoy the history of WWII. I just don't read much about it. I do really enjoy the stories of the guys who were there, I have lost 3 in the last few years and don't have many left. One was a radio operator in a plane that flew "the hump". The other 2 were trainer pilots. I also love going to the Museums. I wish I had the patience to read. I can read tech articles, magazines, blogs...etc. I just can't sit and read books. Even a movie that is over 2 hours is too long! All the books I have read in the last few years, either took many months, or I listened to in an audio book. Don't get the wrong impression. I can sit on my butt for hours at a time...I am fairly lazy... I just have a short attention span!1 point

What build to replicate plug and play coils?
jasonculp reacted to Compenstine for a topic
I hear yeah, So long as it is what you like that is all that matters.1 point -
I will try that. I know it is a strange request, most people want more flavor and more vapor. I just want what I am getting in my Delta. It is slightly better than my Nautilus, but only slightly.1 point

My opinion would be to go with a simple 32ga or 30ga 1.8 ohm coil. Don't do a micro, leave a gap between the wraps. 5-6 wraps should be about right.1 point -
0mg Nicotine
Tam reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
Sorry to be so blunt but it makes me crazy when someone asks about this. If you were not a smoker and do not plan to be then entertaining the idea of starting vaping is ridiculous to me. I said my piece but if you were going to pick up the habit of vaping at least use 0 nicotine so you do not become hopelessly addicted like most of us posting on this forum. I wish to god I had never tried either.1 point -
Hi there, Cagyi! Welcome aboard. I've been smoke free and vaping for about 2 months now. Thanks to some of the awesome people here like Tam, Comp, Jeff, Bebop, Tugboat... This is an awesome community and full of some very nice people.1 point

Tanks and Coils
Tam reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
For me, you can't beat Kanger tanks for cost and performance. The single-coil tanks (KPT2, KPT2-mini) are excellent, and the cheapest to operate. Coils (in bulk) avg ~ $0.60/coil, and they will last from 1-3 weeks. Their dual-coil tanks (KPT3, KPT3-mini, AeroTank, Aerotank-mini) provide a little more flavor/vapor, but the coils are a little more expensive, and still last from 1-3 weeks (depending on your vaping style, juice, etc.). I've tried dozens of different tanks, and continue to go back to my KPT2 and Aerotanks. They are cheaper than a Nautilus, no leaks, low maintenance, and durable! I would suggest using the 1.8 Ohm coils with either of these tanks, as they provide a good median-vape experience. 1.5 Ohm coils will be a little warmer vape, but they will also run down your battery faster. Personally, I use both, because a couple of my juices taste better when ran through a 1.5 Ohm coil1 point -

Oftentimes what is reported in the media about a scientific study doesn't accurately represent what the data truly showed. It definitely didn't talk about the details of the methodology nor give the raw data collected. Just the fact that correlation vs causation has become so muddied that the average person easily mistakes the very important difference between the two, is significant. So all scientific studies should be looked at with a skeptics eye. Having said that, it's my hope that if science does highlight risks related to calling that it may also lead to ways of mitigating that risk, making what we feel is a reasonable risk even smaller.1 point

I started off by getting different colored glass - and of course, keeping a list. But they only have so many colors of glass, and my blue glass broke, and I had to replace it with clear glass, plus I had a couple other clear glass KPT2s as well. I haven't gotten around to cleaning out all my different colored tanks, and putting each of the three juices in different tanks - but I also have about 4, I think, different drip tips that I had ordered. Well, I think that's down to three now, because oddly enough, at Wal-Mart, got out of the car, took my Zmax out of my purse to take a hit on the way to the store, and the stupid drip tip came off (one of my favorites) and rolled who the heck knows. Anyway, I had one of those very same mix ups happen to me today. Or maybe it was last night. I've been having trouble tasting one of my juices, for days and days and days it tasted burned, it was horrid, and since I am ALMOST out of Cactus Juice (maybe 5 mls left, that won't last a day) and I'm waiting on my order, I was looking to see if still had anything in tanks that I could stand to vape anymore. Well, the drip tips on the Cactus Juice tank and the Smurfs Blood tank got mixed up. I KNOW that when I washed out the smurfs blood tank and refilled it last night it had the stainless steel looking drip tip on it, and the grey drip tip was on the Cactus Juice. I didn't notice until today that the drip tips got switched when I was messing around last night - and my taste buds are so messed up right now, I ALMOST couldn't tell the difference. I had to open up each tank, get a good whiff of the juice in the tank, and then put a drop of juice on my finger and see which one it smelled like. Looking at the color of the juice wouldn't help me either, because the juices are ALMOST the same color. Edit: Did I mention I have a running list? I had so many tanks going at one time, I had to. But right now, the list is just grey drip tip - Smurfs Blood; Stainless drip tip, Cactus Juice; Davide, Honey Wood; Kayfun 3.1, Cactus Juice.1 point
