    Need A Good Documentary

Have you seen "Birdmen". If you are in to extreme sports you'll like that one. You can stream it on Netflix . I like anything Ken Burns. Doesn't even matter if I'm not interested in the subject. So well done you get sucked in. "Baseball" and "Jazz" are great as well as the civil war and WWII ones. I think he did one called "The West" which is also good but haven't seen it for a while.

  5. Glad that cleared some things up for you The 9W target is seen on a lot of charts, and yes, it is kind of a sweet-spot for flavor on most juices. I know my all-day-vape tastes best (depending on tank and coil) between 7.5W and 10W, and my MVP is currently running 9W with a Kanger KPT2 and 1.8 Ohm coil. Every juice will have a sweet-spot for Wattage or Voltage, depending on the resistance of the coil, and to some degree, the type of tank. You really have to play with the settings and coil resistances for each juice to find the combo that you like best. When you're unsure of what works best, start your settings low, vape a little, try a higher setting, vape a little, repeat.... once a setting makes the juice taste burnt or "bad", back the settings a notch or two and you've found the sweet-spot for that juice/tank/coil combo.

    New vape problem

You're welcome, Kyle. Just about anything without a floating center pin is prone to getting pushed down too far at one point or another. This is a good fix for them. Glad it helped.

  7. When thinking of Wattage, think light-bulbs... a 100W bulb is more powerful (brighter, hotter) than a 40W bulb... The same thing stands for vaping. More Wattage = more power, and subsequently more Amps are required of the battery to reach higher power. More Watts does not necessarily mean more vapor. Sure, if the Wattage or Voltage is too low, vapor is diminished, but too much Wattage/Voltage will just cook the juice, giving you a horrible taste. Some juices will handle more power than others. More vapor is produced with higher VG content of the juice. 100% VG will give you the maximum potential for maximum vapor, and the hotter you can get it and the faster you can get it to the coil, the more vapor you get. This is why cloud-chasers are looking for maximum efficiency in their wicks, maximum air-flow, and the lowest Ohm coils possible, so they can produce extremely high temps via high Watts (which also means high Amps). Voltage and Wattage are functions of Ohm's Law, and are two of the variables. Given that your coil's resistance is a set variable, you "set" either Voltage or Wattage to allow the device to determine the third. It is really a choice of the person to determine which method they prefer... Personally, I use slightly different Ohm coils across dozens of tanks, so I leave the Wattage setting as my "set variable" and let the device select the proper Voltage. This way I can maintain relatively the same flavor level across all my tanks. If you use the same resistance coils, you can use the Voltage setting, and the device will set the Wattage. Basically they both are the same side of the coin... more Voltage/Wattage = higher Amps, which results in more power/current.

  9. My stuff came in yesterday and I mixed up my first batch of e-juice last night. Since I like Suicide Bunny's Sucker Punch, I decided to try to make something that resembled that recipe. I made a 10ml batch with these ingredients: 4.2ml 36mg Nicotine Juice (50/50) .8ml Propylene Glycol 2.9ml Vegetable Glycerine 1.2ml Dragonfruit flavoring .6ml Barvarian Cream flavoring .2ml Amaretto flavoring .1ml (2 drops) Sweetener Targeting a 15mg/ml concentration of nicotine in this batch... I mixed this up really well and let it sit overnight. This morning I cleaned a Nautilus Mini tank and put a new coil in it. I loaded up the e-juice and let it sit in the tank for 30 minutes or so to saturate the coil. I'm really stoked with the flavor of this! As for matching the Sucker Punch, it's fairly close. I may need to back off the Barvarian Cream just a tad and add a little more dragonfruit, but I'm calling my first attempt at this a success! I can't wait to try this again with some of the other flavors I bought! I also need to go find some 1ml syringes so I can make sure my measurements are more accurate. I have some 3ml and some 10ml syringes and they worked really well for this recipe...

    Probably VERY Stupid...

If I had a nickel for every time my wife said "what flavor is this?" as she hands me her set up.... But my wife is a notorious mixer, lol. She vapes down the pumpkin then puts in a little banana bread and vapes that for a while then adds some vanilka caramel....then I get the question... "Hmmm....not sure, hon....*puff puff*...Im thinking...frankenstine???" lol. Im the opposite. I keep one tank one flavor and color code my drip tips. Good news is I finally got her off platic tanks for good. We use all protanks, davides and nautilus now. Life is good.... Until I get home..."honey, what flavor is this?" ....

  11. In essence, YES, it is water vapor. The PG and Nicotine are rapidly absorbed by the body, and on the exhale, trace (but measurable) amounts of Glycerine are found, but mostly it is water. There is an older study (which was quite conclusive on these findings), which found the exhale to be mostly water, with trace amounts of Glycerine, extremely low traces of nicotine (1/35th the level of passive second-hand smoke of a traditional cigarette), and zero findings of toxic or carcinogenic substances. Also notable in the study: No glycerine was detected in air during cigarette smoking. On the other hand,72μg/m3 were detected during e-smoking. This amount is much lower than the threshold safety imit (TWA-TLV10mg/m3)and much lower than the threshold for moderate risk. However, it’s important to note that acrolein, a molecule formed by dehydration of glycerine due to high temperatures, was present in the air of the room during cigarette smoking test (20μg/m3). In fact, it is well known that glycerine is often added to moisten tobacco. During combustion glycerine is transformed into acrolein. The fact that no combustion is involved when using e-cigarettes probably plays a fundamental role in the absence of acrolein from indoor air during their use. As everyone knows, acrolein is a very toxic and irritating substance. Moreover it is currently suspected of having a fundamental role in the carcinogenic process.

    This is insane

Ummmm You referring to me? A lot of people call me Comp here... BTW Yes I do CC from time to time so that makes me a Dumbass? I think it is lame to insult and Judge all for the stupidity of a few. ------------------------ "Though the explosion occurred during a cloud competition, the mod that blew up was not owned by any of the competitors in the contest." "the rest of the evening was hushed and subdued as conversations focused on the importance of safety" "(added 08/20/14) A NOTE FROM THE SHOW ORGANIZER: Please note that as a precaution; we, the event organizers decided to cancel the second cloud comp that was scheduled for Sunday. In light of what happened on Saturday, we used the time to have a battery safety class. It was very well received and I believe better attention was paid due to the events of Saturday evening. The entire rest of the day’s give aways focused on encouraging people to ditch bad/unsafe batteries. Many exhibitors stepped up with valuable prizes for surrendering bad batteries." -------------------------------- Those that do this and ignore the safety precautions are not too bright, that I agree on. The ones that think this is toy for amusement are the ones that should think twice about those around them. This is why when new people come on the forum we emphasize safety! Most friends I have that do these competitions are extremely safety conscious. It is the few that don't do the home work and follow ohms law that blow their face off and can harm others around them. I'm glad no one got hurt and hope this person learned a valuable lesson. Seems the people running the event were also doing the wise thing and teaching safety. Maybe what these events should have is a class in safety at every event, spot lighting things like this to show how dangerous it can be. Also add the old standby warning "This can be dangerous and should not be attempted without proper training."
