  1. Thank you for the consideration, Lord knows I need the rest. The "beauty" part didn't kick in, unfortunately.

Lol I'm glad I live to read learn and read some more... If it interests me I'll read all day long.. Never afraid to ask the "dumb" questions either.. That's how we learn?!

  7. Hehe.... Tam I just spun a small piece of absorbent paper towel and snaked it. Worked great until I can get to the store for some pipe cleaners..... Another point on airflow because I've run across this with pro tanks - not all threads on different batteries are standard and I have noticed on a couple of batteries that after attaching the pro tank and compressing the coil that the threads will sometimes conflict with the air holes. I've also run across knock off tanks that are not drilled in the same place and you get conflicts. I solved all that by slightly drilling out my air holes and works like a charm now. Check for those conflicts in case that's your problem too. I'm convinced that the tolerances for manufacturing these dang things not what I'm used to in the engineering field.

    taste change

The more and longer you vape the more your taste buds will come back. Smoking tobacco cigarettes screws with our sense of taste and smell due to all the carcinogens. Getting off analogs will revitalize your sense of smell thus revitalizing your sense of taste. In the next month or so, especially if you get totally off cigarettes, you'll notice all kinds of new smells and flavors. Things you used to love will no longer hold the same appeal due to your senses changing. Things you may not have liked so much before will become the best thing ever due to your sense of taste and smell coming back. If you're still craving cigarettes, it's probably due to your nic level. 6 mg is very low for most who are getting off cigarettes. Most do best at 18 - 24 mg to start. Once they get off the cigarettes for a week or more, then start dropping the nic level a little at a time. Even after all this time I keep juices from 24 all the way down to 0, it all depends on what I want/need for that time. When I can't vape very often I'll hit the 24 mg so I can take a couple of puffs and get the nic I need. If I'm at home and chain vaping I'll go down to 6 mg or even sometimes down to 0 mg. An hour or two before bedtime I'll also decrease the nic level so I can sleep better. Of course your mileage may vary.

  12. Yep, I'd say the low vapor production was just a factor of low-charge. Those 650mAh batteries just won't last all day for me... When I had a pair of them, I would blow through both in a day, so one was always on the charger I gave them away to a friend as a starter-kit to help her get off analogs. The 1100mAh batteries I currently use as back-ups will last all day, give or take, so any batteries I buy now have to be 1100mAh at a minimum. There's nothing wrong with the smaller batteries, and I do appreciate the size (nice and compact), but I prefer to carry 1 or 2 larger mAh batteries, rather than 3 or 4 smaller ones, when I'm going to be away from home all day or on an overnight trip.

  13. Those CE4 tanks are disposable... and they are usually good for a week or maybe two (if juices are not thick/sweet/dark). When they start to draw "hard", it's time to toss it. You can sometimes extend the life by soaking them overnight in a shot-glass full of Vodka, and then letting them air-dry for a day, but that doesn't always work, and is not really worth it, since they are so cheap... you can get a dozen on eBay for $10-15, and some sites run deals on them from time-to-time where you can get them in bulk for ~ $1 each. The battery is probably just fine, and will work well with your other tanks (eGo or 510 threaded). Have you tried the battery with other tanks?

  18. There are pre-built dripping atomizers, such as the HH.357... BOGE also has cheaper units (smaller too), which work very well. None of them are sub-ohm, so you can enjoy them with your eGo and IPOW batteries... no need to buy mech-mods

  19. I see a lot of those re-branded or clones of Kanger EVOD batteries... most of them work pretty well, but that one appears to be a 650mAh, so it will last less than a full day before needing to re-charge. GeorgeF is right, those CE4 tanks are a common starter tank (because they are cheap). You can usually pick up a dozen for $10-15 online. Some people love them, some hate them... I never had any real issues with them, other than the fact they are disposable... use them a week or so and toss them out when flavor or draw diminishes. I bought a 20-pack when I first started vaping, and used about a dozen before I tried a BDC Kanger Protank3-mini... after that, I gave away the CE4's and moved on to all Pyrex, bottom-coil tanks. The battery will do you well for a back-up or supplement your other batteries... something to use while your larger ones charge.... but I would suggest a better tank/clearomizer

  20. I don't want to throw too much at you, but you need to know something about the way the iStick calculates voltage. It uses mean instead of RMS. I don't want to be technical, but the easiest way to understand it is that RMS is the most accurate. Your 11 watts is closer to 15 watts on most all other electronic mods. The numbers really don't mean a whole lot, but if you use 11 watts on an MPV or something similar, it is closer to 6 - 8 watts on the iStick. I have attached a chart that shows how much different they are. I can't take any credit for the chart...I stole it off another site.

  26. The fire button has several functions. 5 presses will turn the device on or off, 3 presses will swap between watts and volts mode and (of course) a single press will fire the device. When in watts mode the device will adjust from 2 to 20 watts. In volts mode it can be adjusted between 3.0 and 5.5volts. http://timbozero.com/reviews/eleaf-istick/

  29. I'd have to say when it comes to mech sub ohm builds my personal sweet spot is between .24-.28ohms. Not supper big clouds but not tiny either. And great flavor considering I have a ton of airflow on my drippers.

  31. Mine feels that way too sometimes, but then I realize one of my fingers is blocking one of the three air-holes Also, when you re-fill, let them stand for a couple minutes to work the air-bubbles out of the coil/wick, and to equalize the vacuum pressure (taking a hit without pushing the fire-button will help set the vacuum, too).

    Tanks, Taste, & Conumdrums

Just a follow up I recently made another stupid discovery in the zonexof flavor and taste. A real forehead smacker. I almost exclusively rebuild my protank coils. Once I have wound a coil I put through several cycles of cotton replacement. I don't necessarily rebuild my coils every time. I pull the old wick (cotton), dry burn and dust it off and rewick with fresh cotton. Been working really well. Get superior flavor and vapor production over stock coils. But a little something was nagging at me. I felt the flavor was a little lacking. Proper airflow was key as mentioned earlier. But in my latest batch of rebuilds, something was still bugging me....and I finally figured it out. (Insert forehead slap) My chimneys were dirty. (top section of protank coils) I never noticed this. The unseen build up was incredible. In some case there was gunk halfway closing the chanel. Holy cow. I did a thorough cleaning of the chimneys on my latest builds. BINGO!! All is good in the world. I can't believe I missed this earlier. Dramatic change in flavor. Once more I have proven I am the vaping idiot!! Sweep your chimneys!

  37. This is something we could consider. The only issue is... we get a lot of requests to put AYZ link at the top and there is of course limited space but perhaps we could integrate a small icon or something similar I will say that for the time being we won't be adding any new features until we roll out the next upgrade due shortly (IPB 4.0) once that's up and running we can resume adding requested features etc

  42. I like it that way, those over hyped Nitecores always undercharge. That's well within spec. Most datasheets list: Today's batteries are quite robust and cheap (compared to when I started), may as as well fully charge them.
