  1. We are always looking to improve our store even it it means the littlest changes, I noticed you mentioned "strength or flavor" It never really crossed my mind before but if you were confused by it, so are/will others. I'm going to change this text to "Nicotine Strength" to makes things clear for you and future customers As for vendors, most on the board are legitimate and top notch, if they're not, the forum members pitchforks will come out faster than you can imagine. They're outed pretty quickly

  3. Im not the one asking for a new sub forum. Im asking if there is interest for a mechanical mod sub forum. If there is, I will ask the boss to develop one

  4. I would give the Aspire Nautilus mini a try. It comes with two extra vertical coils at 1.8 ohms. With our Twist, that should work well to give you a good vape and vapor as long as your juice is right. What PG/VG ratio of juice are you using? I'd go with at least a 50 PG/50 VG or max 30 PG/70 VG. The higher the VG, the more vapor you get. Keep in mind that the higher the VG, the less flavor because PG is the flavor carrier. I regularly vape at 50/50 and can still fog up the home office.

  5. Comp is correct, more vapor/more flavor = more satisfying hit. It sounds like you are hitting the 10 second limit on your battery too. What juice are you running? What is the PG/VG ratio and Nicotine? If you run a higher nicotine and PG juice the throat hit will be greater, and therefore might not require such a long draw. The tank's airflow also has a lot to do with how long you have to draw on it. I don't know what you're budget is but a bigger battery, such as: http://www.vaportalk.com/shop/the-vision-vapros-1300mah/, or http://www.vaportalk.com/shop/vision-spinner-2-battery-1600mah/ and a high quality tank like: http://www.vaportalk.com/shop/nautilus-mini-airflow-adjustable-tank-system/ (Nautilus Mini) will give you a much more satisfying vape.

  6. Cloud Chasers are scaring me more and more these days. I get sub ohms vaping, I like it as well which is why I normally vape my Kayfun at around 0.7 and my RDA at 0.5. I get that it would be prudent not to sub ohm entirely if I want to be cautious. Lately however, i'm seeing more and more pictures of people building quad and octacoils on their RDA's that go below 0.1 ohms and that's absolutely bonkers to me. Yes, in almost all cases, the build out resistance are below the amp cap on the battery they are using, but that doesn't make it any less dangerous. When we are talking about Lithium Ion batteries, we are talking about something very, very dangerous when used improperly, only an inch away from your face and eyes. The new generation of vapers have a lot more knowledge at their fingertips than the tenured vapers had, and that's great. That's one of the reasons why we see someone who has only vaped 2-3 months evolve into building their own coils on a mech mod so quickly, that knowledge they can find via the internet is at their disposal. Heres the issue though, vapers are seeing the amp cap on the specs of their batteries and thinking "Okay, well it's a 30 amp maximum, if i stay just below that or at that amp it should work just fine" and that's ludicrous. My car's speedometer on my sentra says 130MPH, Scientific evidence shows you can likely survive in the desert without food for up to 7 days as long as you are hydrated with enough water. Does that mean I should drive 130 in my compact car? does that mean you should walk around without eating for 7 days? You are pushing those batteries too hard, too consistently. Yes, the amp cap is 30 or 35. But they were never meant to go that high for that long of a period of time. Nor was my car meant to drive that fast, nor was your body meant to be put through that much torture. Batteries are going to fail, it happens in any device you use whether it's your laptop battery or your smartphone batteries, they fail some times. The difference in this circumstance however is you are seeing this new type of vaper push these batteries so hard consistently for as long as they will keep on charging at these ridiculously low ohms, and for what? so you can post another 10 second clip on Facebook or YouTube making a cloud? I like blowing clouds every now and again as well, but when you get down beyond 0.1, you've lost your marbles if you think there isn't a chance you are going to force that battery to vent, especially with these long *** drags i'm seeing these cloud chasers take. Before you make a sub ohm coil, always ask yourself if the clouds you are about to try and make with it are worth the mod you could destroy if that battery goes thermal, or worse your safety and health. Is that 0.08 coil worth needing possible skin grafts in the future? Let me know what you think about these ridiculously low sub ohms we're seeing in the comment section below.

  9. Tam has already started eluding to the need for backups. It is hard to over-stress the need for backups. When you finally get the habit kicked, something will break. I would pick up a less expensive Kanger Pro Tank or aero mini, or Davide mini or something like that. Someone else will have to suggest them, because I don't use them. All it takes is just a slip and you new Nautilus mini hits the ground and breaks. You can get parts to fix it cheaply and easily, but you don't have anything to stop the cravings in the mean time. You current battery will work as a temporary backup, but I would suggest a different tank or at least some coils for it. I carry a little pouch with me everywhere I go. I carry 2 iStick batteries, an Innokin VV V3 battery, and an extra Nautilus Mini, a 5 pack of coils and 30mls of juice. I am not suggesting that you go out and buy double everything. Just don't throw away the old stuff and re purpose it for backups. As you start to get away from analogs and save a bit of money you will start collecting things here and there, before you know it you will have a drawer full of batteries and tanks, and more money in your pocket!

  12. If you were to buy this, it would be buying new but I'm not sure what you mean by a "new unit." If you bought the Vision Spinner II, all that comes with it is the battery, no charger or anything else. The Nautilus mini is the tank and it comes with two vertical coils at 1.8 ohms. I would suggest you buy at least one 5-pack of replacement coils at 1.8 ohms. You already have a charger for your other battery, that will work with the Spinner BUT I would buy another charger just to make sure it's not the charger that's at fault with your current set up but that's just me. Anything else? Yes. I would invest in some quality juice in at least a 50/50 blend. If you're wanting more vapor, go with a 40/60 (PG is most often the first number / VG the second) but no more than 30/70. May I suggest a quality vendor for all of this? Go with the Vapor Talk store for the hardware. For what we've been talking about, the VT store has some of the lowest prices online, genuine name brands, and excellent customer service. Just for the record, I'm not an employee or anything of the store, just a very satisfied repeat customer. For juices, you can't go wrong with Fadora Vapor. Compenstine is the owner and, as you've seen on this thread, he will bend over backwards to help get you the most accurate information and help with whatever you order from his store. He also happens to make some of the most delicious juices I've tasted. Check out the testimonials under the e-liquid reviews area of the forum. While the VT store sells Fadora liquids, the ratio there is fixed at 70 PG/30 VG. If you go to Fadora's online store at http://fadoravapor.com/you can customize the juice any way you want it. Comp won't steer you wrong.

  14. Very cool Ive been trying to get some conversation myself about just mecs in general.. Tops are important too but not if u can't understand the way ur mod works then wat are you rebuilding to achieve? Besides there's all kinds of issues sub ohms vaping safe.. Ohms amps and watts /volt.. Still need to know all that if your mec mod vaping...? Let us know... In the meantime I've posted some stuff in modding just because it was the only place I could figure to get a conversation started? Besides right after this conversation was going and I already watch because of my vamo and my itaste

  21. All I can say I know there is a lot of us out here that love our mechs and look for good sources of info on them. I'm on the west coast and in every B&M shop I've visited all the guys use mechs, and believe me there is a lot shops here in San Diego county..they got there choice and the fact they choose mechs over amped up VW devices says alot..I personally favor mechs as I've had both.. These are just a few of my mechs

  24. We used to have a "Cloud Chasing" sub forum here where mechs & RBA's etc were discussed. That forum was changed to "Rebuildable Atomizer Systems." If there is enough interest to develop a seperate Mech Mod sub forum it would be very easy to develop.

Yeah, we're a pretty vocal bunch if something isn't up to our standards. By the same token, we also sing praises pretty loudly when it's deserved... like the Vapor Talk store and Fadora Vapor for two that come to mind.

  28. Thanks for the link and parts-list/diagram... but I lucked out and found one to fit at the local True-Value. They didn't have the set-screw alone, so I had to buy the "kit", but at least I have a spare now, and a few other parts that I'll find use for eventually.

Naolox works great on threads..buttery smooth, helps conductivity and works good as anti seize.. I use it on all my copper mods and Atties and never had them get stuck anymore...lol
