    Under Attack Again?

Grimmgreen did a video on this a couple months ago when the FDA did their purposed regulations. The increase was do to people calling in asking questions more than it was children actually getting into the e-liquid. I don't think the cartoonish labels have any place in this industry. It is the main reason I do my labels the way I do. Sure the color labels look cool and all, but to me it is more about what is in the bottle not what is on the label. I think any company that labels with cartoonish images should be boycotted until they get the hint that it is not acceptable. This is one case where a few bad apples can spoil it for all.

  2. Flavor has little to do with your MOD. it has to do with the E-Liquid first and also your coil plays a factor in that flavor. There really are no E-Liquids that taste Exactly like an analog. Main reason is the delivery. With an analog you are burning a plant to get the flavor along with many other additives. With vaping, you are vaporizing PG/VG with flavorings added. Therefore, there is no "Mod" that will give you the same flavor as an analog.

  3. Alright, so I've finally done it! First, I'd like to thank everyone for their help in educating me. I've read all of these posts, watched linked videos, etc. and I finally got my first mechanical! I bought a Panzer by MCV Phillippines, and a Mutation X RBA. Built myself a single coil, used some japanese cotton, and I made sure to triple check my battery specs, and the ohms from the coil. It works like a dream, and the flavor is incredible! You guys rock, thanks Vapor Talk!

  4. Recently thanks to generous recipe posters I discovered how easy FlavourArt flavors are to work with. So placed an order for 33 FA flavor samples from eliquid mart then after trying them and finding more recipes I wanted to try. Placed and received a 2nd order of 35 bottles. For me It became a pain in the *** to try and find the individual flavor. Pick up read no!,Pick up read No!, etc, or worse take all out the box and play dominoes with them while on the table. I decided there had to be a better way and set out to make one. I don't know if you are anything like me but this is what my DIY shelf looked like before. And this is what it looks like now! I made It to accommodate the FA flavors I have now and allow for future growth. I was also able to put them in Alphabetical order and read the flavor name for easy location. (Added benefit Lorann's 1 dram bottles also fit) Over the past few years I had also accumulated quite a few wizard lab samples (which are even better at mimicking dominoes). And since I plan to continue to use them either individually or in combination with FA. I decided to make one for them. Here is how it looks like now when I mix a eliquid recipe. I have the wide mouth jars for my NIC,VG, PG, and Premixed Base. (easier to get the last little bit and no tipping). And here is a pic of the final results. Both racks are hinged (makes them more stable when opened) and have a latch to keep closed when put away. Thanks for reading. Hope you like.

    Under Attack Again?

Interesting..... I saw a news promo blurb. "Tonight. An alarming spike in child poisonings". They never mentioned e-cigarettes - but the video clearly showed ejuice bottles and kids handling them. Funny thing was, the bottles were from a manufacturer I didn't recognize and have never seen in my years of ejuice shopping but the bottles had very cartoony colorful pictures of fruit. The pictures were obviously designed to generate alarm over their "appeal" to children. Pretty gross attempt to stir controversy and I'm not surprised coming from mainstream media. I decided to do my own look. The only thing I could find was the old report from the CDC from over 6 months ago. In that report they claim poisoning spikes from nicotine related calls jumped from 1 per month to 250 per month over a 4 year period starting in 2010. The report which took data from poison centers across 50 states shows 2400 cases in 4 years, with 41% of those involving children, a little over 1000. There is no mention of any deaths or serious injury. There is the usual mention of vomiting, nausea and eye irritation. (Contrast this with an unrelated report from 2011 that shows 67,000 children treated for exposure to medicines from the family medicine cabinet in one year alone. This is long after child proof caps were introduced). Somebody is stirring the pot. I'm curious if anyone is seeing this kind of story popping up in your local areas. This is just more smear campaign apparently. This is not a new story. But somebody dug it up. Please understand I am not advocating anything less than safety with regard to e liquid handling.

    Fadora Vapors!

Epic win for Fadora Vapors! What a great selection of flavors! My first experience with vaporizing was with Compenstine and, being the big dumb noob I was, he answered every single dumb question I had, going above and beyond. Go there. Now. Go. I'll wait. Go buy there. A++

  7. When a board is claiming "No Respect" They need to look at themselves and ask the question "Am I respecting others by taking their Freedoms away?" When I read things like this "But ban supporter David Sepplin, 54, argued after the meeting that people routinely accept restrictions on their freedoms for public safety." It makes my blood boil and want them to read Hitlers Mein Kampf, He stated the same.

  9. You may need to pull the spring up a bit on the base cap. Also button top batteries solved that issue for me. mine did not come from FastTech but same issue when I first got one.

    TOP CAP IS STUCK!

OH MY DAYS!!!!!!! DUDE THAT WORKED! It took 5 seconds haha Youve never seen me so happy to see 2 peices of metal in my life LOL didnt have a cloth so i used paper towel lol... im at work... nuked it for 45 seconds. had time to bring it to my desk wrapped it and held it for 30-45 seconds. then touched the top cap onto an ice pack that i miraculously found in the fridge. it came RIGHT off im amazed honestly. p.s. the big guy i was telking about. you should of seen his face LOLLL

  11. Vinegar will etch the metal (eat into it) given enough time and strength of solution. It WILL cause threads to lock-up further. Brass is high concentration of Copper mixed with Tin (and sometimes other metals), but Brass and Copper react similarly to heat... only Copper is affected more. Try taking a wet towel, place it in the microwave until it is steaming... wrap it around the tube and let it get the tube good and hot... then touch the cap to some ice-cubes for a minute or two (while the tube is still wrapped in the hot towel)... that should do the trick to allow you to unscrew them...

    Under Attack Again?

Wasn't referring to a label on the box. Some Grannies (and some other people I've encountered lately) need a great big warning label pasted on them.

  13. Yet there are flavors that try to imitate the tobacco taste.. But like said no burning envolved and trust me you would probably loose your taste for a burning cig after the flavors in the eliquid world.. Me I love melon so after quitting smoking . I had one week moment.. Quickly cured by ewww I smoked this for over 20 yrs! My taste is also heightened do a cig taste nasty to me now.. I'll take my flavors over the cigs anyday now that I've tasted since quitting this way.

  14. These changes likely won't be done by the time you wake up I'm sorry to say. Rather than half *** the change I'm forward all these sketches over to the design guys at my web dev company we also have a 3rd party guy that does some great work (fingers crossed) I'm hoping we can have him make the template forward compatible with the new IPB software update coming down the tube. That will allow us to keep the next design for the next 1-2 years

  15. In no particular order: Fadora Vapor (hardware but mostly juice) Vapor Talk store (mostly hardware, some juice) The Veteran Vaper (hardware) EC Blends (juice) Five Pawns (juice) Vape Dudes (juice) GotVapes (hardware) Mad Vapes (hardware) Discount Vapers (hardware) Most of my business these days is going to the VT store, Fadora and EC Blends for superb, high quality products and juices but mostly for excellent customer service!

  17. Feh. Looks like Chris is working on the VT store so I can't link to the charger. He does, however, have the key word links back so you'll see certain words underlined in our posts. Click on those (when the VT store is back online), and it'll take you to whatever it is that we're talking about -- like chargers.

    TOP CAP IS STUCK!

The best luck I have had with similar situations is to use both hot and cold water (or ice) to independently heat and cool the two part that stuck. I know that may not be easy, but do the best you can. Assuming that one part is male and the other is female, heat the female part while cooling the male. This causes the male part to shrink slightly and the female to expand, thus loosening the connection. If all else fails, check the phone book for a machine shop nearby. They will have it off in no time. HTH

  22. Hey Guys, Here is a quick sketch I sent off to our designer. The colors aren't exact and this is a rough draw but the forum would essentially match the front end of the site exactly. There's also an "up to top" button on each post that will zoom you back up to the "new content" button

    Forum Design Questions

I have to agree with non-white backgrounds... I've built plenty of sites, and one thing I (almost) refuse to do is "pure white", as it creates eye-strain, especially on high-def monitors. Even a 5% Grey has great impact on eye-strain reduction Side-bar navigation... I can take it or leave it, but one thing I would like to see is a "quick-jump" drop-down at the bottom of the page, so I can change sub-forums or refresh back to the "new content" page without scrolling back up a mile of photo-heavy posts to click navigation...

    New vapor here

Tam gave some great links and info there... but I'll add to that... First, there is no "need" to upgrade... if you're happy with what you have, you're happy. Many people vape years using only starter-style equipment, but upgrading to higher mAh batteries (and more versatile batteries) and "better" tanks is a natural evolution once you decide vaping is for you! Spinners and Twists (variable voltage devices) were never my cup-o-tea, as I found my sweet-spot to be in the median 3.7V range anyway (standard voltage for eGo-T and EVOD batteries). A lot of people jump from juice to juice, and that is where a Spinner shines, so you can dial in the voltage to meet your juice's needs. A VV device also is handy to have if you are using coils with higher resistance, or have several tanks with different resistance coils. I do love my KPT3 minis... they are my go-to tank for sporting events, riding my bike, or any time I want something very portable. They hold a half-day's worth of juice, very rugged/durable, and are same diameter as my eGo-T batteries I can't recommend the KPT2's enough. Adding in the Aerobase to allow for adjustable air-flow makes them a perfect tank, IMO. They're not too top-heavy on an eGo battery, work perfectly with a more advanced battery like MVP, VTR, ProVari, etc., and even work well on a mechanical MOD. Upgrading your tanks from starter-tanks is always a good thing (Pyrex rules over plastic, IMO), and I recommend picking up a tank or two whenever you get the chance... everyone should have at least six (again, my opinion, lol) - 2 or 3 smaller tanks and 3 or 4 larger ones. Batteries... two are bare minimum... three to five are average must-haves. Just like juices, everyone's tastes are different, so tank and battery choices for you will be different than most everyone else... but you can't go wrong with battery choices of 1100mAh or larger (higher mAh = longer life between charges). Having all this "extra" equipment is what we consider "backups for your backups"... and you'll one day be thankful to have that extra tank or battery that you thought you didn't really need Welcome to VT, BTW!

  26. VaporTalk Store (Hardware) Sweet-Vapes (with the dash(-) not without) (Hardware) ECBlends (liquid only) Fuzion Vapor (liquid only) It has been a very long time since I ordered anything from anyone but these 4 suppliers. I have yet to not be able to find what I need and always get authentic products for 50-70% of the prices the local shops charge for mostly knockoffs. Shipping is either free of less than the gas to drive to a B&M plus I do not have to waste any of my time shopping which I hate. I think many if not most on here would feel comfortable ordering anything from these 4 suppliers. I know what I like and at this point everything is a "re-order" lol.

  30. It would seem one of the major frustrations of new users can all be boiled down to one thing… How to correctly pull vapor from an e cigarette. Unlike a cigarette, it’s advised that you take long, slow drags on each and every owners manual, but most don’t know just how long or how slow they’re supposed to be doing it. Can I get an amen Noobies? OK Moving on… Once newbies ‘get it’, their other e cigarette issues are secondary. There’s a lot of posts where forum members advise new users to use the proper technique, but it’s all scattered throughout the forum. So, here you go..I’m doing a ‘guide’ based on using a MANUAL 510, which is one of most popular first models. (This is applicable to most e cigarettes) Steps 1. Press the button for around 1-2 seconds BEFORE you start to inhale 2. Without letting go of the button, draw on the ecig slowly. Your inhalation should be at least FIVE seconds long guys! It’s just THAT easy! If you’re frustrated because you don’t feel like you’re getting anything, that’s because you’re probably smoking it like an analog, short, quick puffs. It’s what we’re USED to doing, but this is NOT a cigarette. While ordering a manual PV is strongly recommended for everyone, if you have an automatic version, (where you just ‘drag’ on it to get it started), then you use the same method, you just don’t have to hit any buttons beforehand, so take a ‘primer puff’ and you’re good to go! Bottom line is, take a LONG drag…at least 5 seconds in length Credit: domino38 (ECF Member) Edit By: Christopher
