Quitting Yet Again?

Haha, yes! And from Jimi: If the sun refuse to shine, I don't mind, I don't mind, If the mountains fell in the sea, let it be, it ain't me. Alright, 'cos I got my own world to look through, And I ain't gonna copy you. Now if 6 turned out to be 9, I don't mind, I don't mind, Alright, if all the hippies cut off all their hair, I don't care, I don't care. Dig, 'cos I got my own world to live through And I ain't gonna copy you. White collared conservative flashing down the street, Pointing their plastic finger at me. They're hoping soon my kind will drop and die, But I'm gonna wave my freak flag high, high. Wave on, wave on Fall mountains, just don't fall on me Go ahead on Mr. Business man, you can't dress like me. Sing on Brother, play on drummer.2 points -
I'm finally here!

Finally after 30 years of smoking a pack a day I have gave up on the icky sticks and found my new love of vaping. Last month on a whim (well I was sick and had a lung infection) I decided to try out the ecig world so I stopped at a local cig shop to buy my first ecig. Of course this place ended up not being the best place to start but I didn't give up (almost did). They started me off with a tiny eGo battery, a really crappy plastic tank and some of the worst eliquid in the world. Not knowing any better I kept going in and buying more of that crap juice until one day I thought I poisoned myself with a juice that I swear was pure ether... After that day I did some online searching and found a real vape shop about 40 miles away and headed up there. While I was there I picked up an aspire bdc tank and some awesome juice. I made a couple more trips back up there until the last time I was there I was charged $45 for a simple ego twist battery. Not knowing any better I paid for it and was on my way. Once I learned how much I should have really paid for it I did some more online searching and found some much closer vape shops including one only minutes away. Now that I was on the right track to succeeding in my quest to quit smoking I thought it was time to up the game so I purchased an itazte mvp v2, nautilus mini and nautilus tank. That is the setup that has now made me happy and will keep me from going back to the icky sticks. Oh and the Space Jam Astro also has to take some credit. In less than a month I have gone from 24mg down to 3-6mg of nicotine and I 'm quickly heading for the 0mg mark. That's my goal and I'm confident I will get there. How long it will take I don't know but as long as I'm off the icky sticks I don't care. Today I ordered up a shiny new eLeaf iStick in blue for 34.95 shipped. What a great bargain for a 20w vv/vw mod. It will be my take to work and keep in my pocked mod for the cold Ohio winter we have coming. To anyone that is looking to quit smoking and wants to take up vaping I beg you to not make the same mistakes I made and to just fork out the cash for a quality vv/vw mod and quality tank. If you get what worked for me right off the bat I am sure you will succeed in your quest. You can pick up the iStick mod and Nautilus or Nautilus Mini tank for less than $50 on ebay. If nothing else make sure you get a quality good tasting liquid. Seriously try the Space Jam Astro juice. Sorry my first post was so long winded but I am excited to share my story1 point -
The big dripper?

Well after tons of reading and watching reviews I decided to buy the clone. Like sparc's mine came with prebuilt coils around .9 ohms each. I cleaned, built and assembled it to give her a rip. Truth be told this is not a bad little vape, in fact I like it. For me filling it up with around 5ml was pretty easy. It produces tons of vapor and its nice and warm. So far I only had one minor leak from over filling the well. Great buy for around $25.1 point -
100% VG, How is this possible?
Compenstine reacted to jasonculp for a topic
I didn't want to sound like a smart a*s. It is mathematically impossible to have 100 percent vg, unless it is pure vg. Of course using rounding, i guess it just depends on how many decimals you carry it to. I am with you a much better term would be PG Free or 0% PG. From what I have read, VG is not a good solvent to extract flavors, so something such as alcohol, water, or something else would have to be used. Of course it could be concentrated into minute amounts....1 point -
100% VG, How is this possible?

I have learned a lot since I first posted this. There are a fair amount of PG free flavorings out there. I was unaware these at the time I posted this. Having said that, I just think a better term would be "PG Free" since even adding alcohol, water... etc technically would make it less than a true 100% VG.1 point -
Nic levels...

At 1 pack a day I would recommend 18-24mg for your E-Liquid. It is more than Nicotine that smokers crave with an analog so there is some willpower involved. I was a 1- 1 1/2 packs a day of Camel 99s. I do not get what my body craves with any less than 18-24mg and mostly 24mg. If 24 makes you dizzy or makes you feel nauseated, then drop to 18.1 point -
Very informative review Jason. Not long winded at all. Just the right admount... Jim1 point

Oh, Yeah, I can see it now. The year is 2035, The auctioneer starts out with "Now we have lot #(whatever). A fine vintage 2009 juice made by Fadora with all natural ingredients. What am I bid, yadda yadda yadda". The bidding climbs higher and higher with E-Juice connisouers from all corners of the country battling it out. The auction ending with a winning bid of $5000 for this rare vintage naturally flavored juice. Might be witnessing the ground floor of a vintage juice craze. Now ya gotta design a line of primo juices, a fancy schmancy label, a juice cellar, an investment club, etc, etc. Man, I'm gonna get rich........If I live that long.1 point

Me too! Ben Harper Lyrics: my choice is what I choose to do and if I'm causing no harm it shouldn't bother you your choice is who you choose to be and if your causin' no harm then you're alright with me1 point -
I agree totally and have used that responce on occasion .... without the LOL. As to vaping, my goal was to get away from tobacco, which I have done - painlessly I might add. And, at this point I have no plans to quit everything. At my age, this old dog isn't very interested in learning too many new tricks all at once. 50 years of smoking takes a bit of readjusting to get to nothing-to-do-with-my-hands. I ain't too much on "Keeping up with the Joneses". Mr. Jones can do as he wants, I'll do things my way.1 point

Aged E-Liquid

I say mix a little of that with some birthday cake and you could end up with the best cinnamon roll on the planet. This the best story I've heard since, I dunno, it's like when you hear a story about some guy who found a '65 Chevelle with 3,000 miles on it ...........or your uncle's barber who was cleaning out the attic and discovers a mint condition 1957 Gibson Les Paul.......1 point -
Tam, got just the battery at smartvapes.com for $30 and got a full kit (battery, ego adapter, USB cable and wall plug) from evape.us for $34.95.1 point

Anywho: still need more posts... I'm new here obviously, however not so new to vaping. Tried it years ago back before there were any standards and getting replacement cartridges or atomizers was next to impossible... and now adays we have standards! finally! replacement parts are dime a dozen, tanks and tanks and flavors oh my! love it! So got back into it like a year ago, got a starter kit (mistake) it leaked all over and sucked... year later tried again and got an aspire bdc, also leaked, changed coil...still leaked, changed coils one more time and no leak! yay! so that finally got me off cigs and my collection has been growing ever since. more recently got into RBA's and I'm hooked on them! I don't even really want to use any of my other tanks anymore... Just gave my GF my old iclear 30s and spare coil for it... Almost never use my pair of aspire BDC tanks anymore... and rarely use my iclear x.i tanks either. aspire nautilus I still use as it kicks some good flavors, but the KFL+ = yum That coil builds thread is giving me all kinds of new ideas which might not be such a good thing... GF already says I'm obsessed cause I go to one of the 3 local vape shops like once a week lol.1 point -

But they only use PG "on your request." It's not in their usual mix.1 point
