  1. I do the same thing... watching TV, I tend to chain-vape, and had issues going to sleep at night because of the 18mg nicotine stimulation. I tried a 6mg apple-cider one night before bed, went straight out, and slept like a rock (rather than a baby, waking up ever 2-hrs, lol). Now, I find citrus flavors (apple/orange/cherry/lemon) work best before bed... bakery flavors make me hungry or leave a lingering flavor in my nose all night 3mg or 6mg work very well if you switch to them an hour or two before bed-time... you allow your body to step-down from nicotine naturally, without going into a withdrawal-mode, and you're not hyped-up when your head hits the pillow....

  3. You perfectly described a similar conversation my brother once had with his doctor... although he was confused how he was supposed to take his meds... the doctor told him he was not to take them at the same time (meaning both every 4-hours or both every 6 hours)... one pill every 6 hours, and another pill every 4 hours. But, since both would be taken at the same time every 12th hour, if he started at 6am (thinking they COULD NOT EVER be taken together), he spent 30-min arguing with the doctor... The doctor finally gave up and told him to take the 6-hour pill at 0600, noon, 1800, and midnight... and the 4-hr pill at 0630, 1030, 1430, 1830, 2230, and skip the 0230 dose! AND, after he finally grasped that concept, he then over-stressed about how he was going to take them if he's sleeping (Worst part... he was 38-yrs old at the time!) Growing up, I honestly hoped one of us was adopted (I still tell everyone he was)

  4. Ive been down to two cigarettes a day for a month now. This morning I threw the pack away to see how it went. This afternoon at a job site I walked dead center into a smoking area, stood there for a moment, then moved on. I really expected to fall in the floor screaming for one but I took a few vapes and surprisingly I lived lol. Im not sure what was taking my dumb arse so long, to finally push myself over that edge, but its done and Im digging it. Now to start trimming down the nic levels. This forum is more supportive than many realize so keep up the good work members and thank you.

  5. Yep, what comp said. Momentary switches are usually rated for 3-5 amp so running a MOSFET with a 15k resistor with allow the amps to bypas the switch. You can stack MOSFET too. One 3034 MOSFET can handle 195 amps, 2 can handle 390 amps. Face book has a good group called box modders. If you join read the files and pinned post before asking any questions or you'll be meme'd to death cause all the answers are in there lol

  8. Congrats on surviving the "smoker's pit", lol... Nicotine is not the enemy... don't feel bad if you stay at 18 or 24mg levels for a long long time... you're body is use to the nicotine, and that is okay. Stepping down is an ultimate goal for most everyone, but if you drop too quickly, you will have withdrawals (trust me). I started at 18, went to 24, back to 18, and now I'm at 15 for my daily vape (in tanks), BUT I keep 18 and 24mg handy for high-stress times, 6-12mg for some flavors, 3mg for my RDA, 12mg for my Russian 91%, and vape 3-6mg at night, before bed-time... I can't believe how much better I sleep now!

  9. Thank You all for the warm welcomes!! Always a pleasure to find a friendly community.. Michelle, that sucks to hear that. Although I think I would still do it, I can't help myself. My dorky side would shine and not let me refuse that job, although I would have to find a second one just to help pay the bills. HaHa!! I still think that is awesome that he is a tester, I would jump at the chance to be one in a heartbeat.

What Comp and Bebop said. I have juices in 24 mg (or 2.4%) all the way down to 0 nic. It's what I feel like at the time or how much I can vape. If I'm at home I'll go to 12 or 6 mg nic. If I'm in a high stress situation and can't vape very much I 'll with the 24 mg so I can take a couple of draws to satisfy the craving. Welcome to Vapor Talk.

Even though, technically, vaping 2 x 6mg is the same amount of nicotine as 1/2 the amount in 12mg, comp is right. You have to vape twice as much over a longer period of time to get that nicotine and if you've been dipping and not spitting I would venture to say you should start at 24mg and I wouldn't even worry about getting too much until you notice that it's too much. You'll be able to tell. Minimally I would go with 18mg but it sounds like you're a candidate for 24mg IMO.

First off... Welcome V|T The reason the Nicotine doesn't act the way you asked is more in how the body absorbs it. You will absorb more of the nicotine at say 18mg and feel the craving ease. At 6mg you can vape on it all day and not feel the craving ease because your not absorbing the same amount of nicotine per draw. If 18mg is getting you past the cravings stick with it for a while and gradually drop down. Some people find themselfs at -0- nicotine and then dropping vaping all together. Some people stay at a high nicotine and just vape. It is all a personal choice. Chain vaping is normal when you first start. The nice thing about vaping is you are not locked in to smoking the full analog once you light it. You take a draw or two and kill the craving. If you find yourself chain vaping a lot all the time, then maybe that is the time for either a higher nicotine, or just chain vape. There is the hand to mouth habit that most smokers have and the more stressed or bored you are the more you would smoke, it is the same with vaping. I find myself chain vaping at the computer or any time I don't have my hands and mind busy. You have a sold start with your setup now is the time to find that e-liquid that is your all day vape or ADV. That can be elusive at first as your taste will change over time. I personally like a heavy spice vape. Others go for fruity or more of a complex flavor. Taste is very subjective and what works for one may or may not work for another. I always suggest buying sample sizes till you find a keeper then try a larger bottle. Sometimes it is good in the sample, then, you find after 10 15mls it is not what you wanted.

  13. A man after my own heart! I do have a soft spot for hand made boots, but I don't own any (yeah, a headbanger in cowboy boots...smh) I am too cheap. I am over 40 so the fancy jeans are out of the question. I dress nice for work, but if I had my way, Levi's and a T-Shirt would be my wardrobe...lol I also would spend in the $200 range for a meal for me and my wife, but just not too often! $200 for a mechanical mod... I doubt it. (I won't say never though)

  14. I love this conversation! My wife and I had exactly the same one the other day. "Take 1 pill 2 times a day" on day 5 she said she had 5 of the 10 pills left.... I deal with this on the "production" end of our business. I revise my previous statement, there are stupid questions, most begin in our shop.

  15. Michelle, that's awesome that he got into being a tester. I wish I could do that for a living! Talk about being happy to go to work for a change, haha!! Plus since he is a Steelers fan, he is a good man in my book. As far as being accident prone, haha! That is the story of my life. Although I didn't break my setup, my gf did, but that's just how my "luck" goes.. and yes, it is a Great feeling! Congrats to you and keep up the good work! Fishguy, what's wrong with my avatar? It's Mr. Rogers putting on the Freddy sweater while wearing the glove. I thought it was hilarious and on a pretty sweet side note, Fred Rogers is from my hometown as well. So it's like Im supporting a hometown legend, with a twist of horror humor. Thanks for the props, yeah I think my gf rushed out to get me that Vision Spinner and Nauti Mini because she was afraid I was gonna go back to smoking cigarettes, which I tried to assure her I wouldn't. I believe thanks to vaping, I will NEVER spend another dollar on those killers..

  16. You do do know that the generic pickles are just re-wrapped Vlasic rejects right...? or is it Vlasic is a re-wrapped Claussen... I can never remember.

  17. Hmm, I don't have to look back too far, but I would definitely say, stay away from the cigalikes, and go straight for a beginner battery (Evod Twist or Spinner 1 or 2), and get a good pyrex tank (protank or Nautilus). Take some time to sample various liquids in a brick and mortar and find a couple that I really like. Make sure to start with a higher nicotine level, and go down in level as needed.

  18. after getting the generic ego with disposable tank I went and got myself the EMOW starter kit. adjustable airflow, voltage, not too big, decent tank capacity. I couldnt ask for more... and the price point was 75$. the disposable and ego set up came out to 60 with 2 bottles of juice... i would of much rather spend the 75 on a good starter kit!

    I'm in love....

That's what makes this forum so great. I still feel like I owe this forum for how much it helped me in the early days. It's easy now but not in the early days especially finding a flavor I liked. I bet I shipped out 2000ml of unwanted liquids before I found what I like. Gotta pay it forward!
