    Tanks, Taste, & Conumdrums

I didn't touch the davide. It does just fine on it's own. (I'm buying more of these, 2ml or not) The smallest bit I could find on a quick trip to the hardware store was a 1/16th (.062). The original air holes in the protank appear to be roughly 1/32. I drilled out 2 of the three holes and it was probably a little too much. Using rough math, a hole twice as large gives 4Xs the airflow so as it turns out. Drilling 1 hole out to 1/16 was enough to give better performance and is about right. Drilling 2 was not a deal breaker bit probably too much and more than necessary. I drilled out 1 hole on the evod and it wasn't quite enough so I drilled out 2 it was a good improvement. The result: drilling out the protank and the evod greatly improved both vapor and flavor production. However, they still do not meet the Davide as equal. I suspect there are a couple of other factors: 1. The evod is plastic - enough said. Plastic tanks just don't measure up to glass 2. I suspect fine tuning is necessary based on coil resistance and voltage ( an argument for airflow control). Either engineered hole size or more simply airflow control base. 3. Design: there are other design differences in the tanks - capacity, length of chimney, diameter of chimney, inherent restiance in body and base etc... Conclusion - much can be improved by adjusting airflow, either by drilling out holes or using airflow control in combination with voltage and resistance but NOTHING BEATS A GOOD DESIGN!

Hmmm ...... I hear my mom's voice - "if everyone else jumps off the roof, are you going to, too?" Just paint yours a goofy sky-blue-pink with polka dots and be happy. And keep the xtra dollars in your pocket so you can afford a larger "loop".

Nope, not everyone feels the need. My goal was to get away from tobacco. Started with basic eGo batteries and CE4 tanks. After 18+ months the only upgrade is from 650ma batteries to 1100ma batteries and CE4's to EVOD BCC tanks. Quite satisfied with what I've accomplished with basic equipment. Now, that's not to say I haven't admired some of the higher end stuff, but I don't see any real advantage to spending the extra money to do the same thing ........ quit cigarettes. Plus, I'm a cheap old guy, too.

Granted, I'm new to vaping (only been at it since August), but, I am not mechanically inclined, at all. That being said, I will be sticking with batteries that I do not have to build on. LOL Maybe if I win the lottery I will upgrade myself to a Provari, but that is about it. I will stick with the easy stuff with great tasting juices.

18 months and as happy as a clam (how happy are clams?) on ego battery and tank. I get all the vapor and all the taste I want, I have saved $$ and my "smoking budget" has dropped to like $50/ month (for 2 people). AND NO ANALOGS!

I've been using a pen since Feb. I've thought about branching out, but I'm happy with my set up. I do try out different style tanks, but other than that I still use my starter kit.

Absolutely no reason to move up beyond a basic eGo and tank(s) of your choice. If you're happy with what you are using, and they keep you away from analogs... you're golden! I went a little nuts on tanks at first (ended up with more than two dozen, lol), and became quite satisfied with my MVP battery, over the pen-style eGo's. I still use my MVP daily, as well as my eGo's several times a week. I have gotten into the MODs and RBA/RDA a bit, but only because I wanted to try them (and some of the MODs are quite a conversation piece, too). Now that I have an RDA, I find myself rarely using it, honestly! Yes, I love my RBA/RTA Russian 91% (flavor, flavor, flavor), but you don't build a coil daily... actually I think one of them has the first coil I built for it, still in it (just re-wicked it from time to time)... more than a month ago?

  10. I would say it is the APV that is the issue here not your batteries. Since you already have batteries and a tank I would go with a different APV I would suggest a VAMO 5 or like APV. You stated that others are having the same problems with that unit. Sounds to me as if the electronics in the unit are what is behind the problem. That is not something you can not fix or change with a higher mHa battery. You can get a Vamo here in the VT store or I would also suggest Sweet Vapes. They run about $45-49 and have a good good reputation for quality.

I bought a Vamo at one point but prefer Ego style batteries specifically Vision Spinners so I sold my Vamo and all my batteries and charger to a member here. I think some people feel like they "have to" move up but I am cool right where I am. The combination of tank and battery I use with my VG heavy liquid I use produces enough (borderline too much) vapor and all I use are single coils as well. Use what works for you and do not feel like you have to do anything. Remember for some it is a hobby and for others (like me) it is about never smoking another analog. Neither is right or wrong just up to each individual. I will never use anything that requires rebuilding and to be honest for me the only thing I missed from my Vamo was knowing how much battery life I have left and the Spinner 2s fixed that issue without having to carry a light saber in my pocket lol.

No, there are many that are happy with a ego battery and ce4 clearomizer. If you like what you are using just stick with it. There are no rules that say you have to move up. If it keeps you off analogs it is the right one for you. Everyone is different and have their own reason for sticking with what they have or moving on to something else. In either case, the common goal is to stay off analogs.

    Kanger Turbo Not Working

LOL Yep they just don't ever go away. Makes wonder if they get paid well for doing this. I can't imagine someone doing it for free. LMAO If they do, that makes them even more stupid. Can't take much brain cells to copy paste crap all day long.

The reason why you can't start new topics anywhere else other than New Members and Introduce Yourself is because you're new. You need a minimum of three posts before you can post in other threads. This keeps the spammers to a minimum and in only one or two places. After a couple more posts you should be good. If not, let us know. Good luck on your fix. Trying to deal direct with someone in China is hard, which is why we strongly suggest buying from US based vendors.

I'll be dadgummed. I just blew out the holes in a pro tank. Instant improvement! Different juice in this one so tough to compare, but no question, improved airflow = improved taste. How did I miss something so obvious? Smh Ok, I'm off to fine tune this. This is good. Thanks guys. I guess they just got it right with the Davide. It definitely is a superior tank

  18. Ok.. can be done.. But you gotta build it your self. Best choice to steer you in the right direction.. Fasttech. clones that are cheap to ruin. Materials.. 1. Dna 30 chip clone 2. Nemesis clone 3. Nemesis extra tubes Remove kick ring attach 18350 tube to nemesis.. Now you have place to insert dna and charger inside.. Fire button goes down and conects to the mech switch.. Think about it.. you will sort it out your self.. App price= 60 $
