This is only my 3rd day vaping. I just tried to smoke an analog and I literally almost puked. I just couldn't. I'm still slightly crashing one every once in a while, so I decided to bum one for a lay hoorah.. NEVER. AGAIN. I had read that they taste disgusting after a while.. but three days was unexpected.2 points

When you use a higher ohm coil, you tend to get a cooler vape, and use slightly less battery. If you pick up a 1.8 it will be a bit warmer. Tameiki is correct, a variable voltage device, like the spinner II, will make it a bit more enjoyable. You can turn it up when you need a little more heat, and down when you don't. They are great devices.2 points

Battery ohm limits

A fixed voltage battery is typically around 3.7 volts. The best resistance is either a 1.5 or 1.8 ohm coil. My preference is 1.8 ohms for fruit flavors (they like a slightly cooler vape) and 1.5 ohm for bakery flavors (they prefer a bit more heat). A 2.1 ohm coil is probably more resistance than you really want with only 3.7v to use. When you get a chance, get yourself something like a Vision Spinner or Spinner II that has variable voltage from 3.3v to 4.8v. With mine, I just use 1.8 ohm coils all the time (for my tanks), and I can adjust the voltage to the juice I'm vaping at the time. When I direct drip with a 2.0 ohm HH.357 atomizer, I set it at 4.3v. With a tank and 2.1 ohm coil, I go with around 4.0v for optimum performance -- for me. YMMV.2 points -
I think that's great for you! I had a similar experience about a month into this vaping scene. I hadn't had anything to smoke for about a month and chain vaped and was so amazed that I could do that. So when friends came from Australia we went to very expensive very exclusive buffet restaurant in Kuala Lumpur for brunch. Now one of my favourite splurges used to be Cuban cigars and it's so cool that they are legal here, but of course imported so very expensive. This restaurant had a humidor exclusively dedicated to Cubans. The prices were from about RM 90 to RM 300 each. (divide by 3 for US dollars) This was an occasion so I decided to splurge. Normally before I would have bought the cheaper version, but I thought this might be my last time so I went for the RM 300 one. I got back to the table and lit up. OMG it was awful!!!!!! I too almost puked right there at the table. It was such a bittersweet moment. I lost one great passion but I gained the knowledge that I wouldn't have to indulge like that again. On a side note, I saved it (hell it WAS RM 300 after all) and brought it home and put it in a now unused ash tray. One day I came home from work and found it missing. The following conversation ensued: Me "Where's my Cuban?" Sig other " Your what?" Me "My Cuban cigar," Sig other "Where was it" Me "In the ashtray." Sig other "Oh that. I thought it was a cat turd so I threw it away."2 points

Holy nastiness!

If they already taste bad, you're well on your way to completely kicking the analogs! Don't feel bad though if you have cravings and sneak a drag from time to time... your body is still undergoing detox (and will for a while), so cravings ARE going to occur.2 points -
They're idiots in Washington D.C. Who think quitting smoking is easy They won't allow ads That show vaping has made quitting like playing Parcheesi, Playing Parcheesi is easy Quitting is now just as breezy. Vaping has taken all the pain with its fakin' And has made us now all smell Fabreezy.2 points

The kpt has silicone gaskets on either side of the glass housings. Make sure they are there. Make sure your coil is seated properly Give juice time to wick before firing a new coil Also clean all parts thoroughly after burning. Residuals can remain.1 point

Trying to learn
Tam reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
If you put the replacement coil into the same juice that you had with the burnt coil, it is very possible the burnt taste transferred to the juice. Dump the old juice, clean the tank with a vodka soaked q-tip and let dry... then try again. A little burnt taste will be there at first because the old juice is still in the new coil wicks, but it will vape out after a few hits (or you can vodka soak the coil too, but it will take a few hours to soak, and a day for it to dry). Leaking is typical after dis-assembly if you don't ensure the o-rings are straight and in good shape. One at the top and bottom of the tank section, one at the base, and one at the coil. When you put them together, you just want to go to "very snug", not "jelly-jar tight" or you can damage the o-rings or deform them, causing a leak . One thing I've done with great success is to "lube" the top and bottom of the glass tank with a q-tip with a drop of juice (or even water). It will keep the dry glass from grabbing the dry o-ring and ripping it or twisting it out of the pocket. Been there, done that, and the t-shirts aren't that nice1 point -
Battery ohm limits

A higher resistance coil heats slower, but also cools down slower, so if you're chain-vaping it hard... it will become very warm. I noticed that when I was chain-vaping a higher Ohm coil than my usual 1.5 or 1.8. Most of my juices are best tasting around 7.5 - 9.0 Watts... Using Ohm's Law, 1.5 Ohm coils @ 3.7V produce 9.0W, and 1.8 Ohm coils @3.7V produce 7.5W... which is why I do not use a Spinner or Twist (VV battery) any longer. Static-voltage suites me just fine On my MVP, I use the "power" setting to set my Wattage at 8.5W, and I don't worry if the coil is 1.5, 1.8, or even above 2.0... because the MVP auto-adjusts the Voltage/Amps to produce the proper Wattage output1 point -
Backups for Backups

While an iTaste VTR isn't smaller than an MPV, it is more powerful and longer lasting if you use a 3400 mAh battery like I do in it.1 point -
Thanks! That's a lot of insight. Lol I love how much I'm learning!1 point

Just get a small carry-on suitcase. You'll be fine.1 point

Well, if you didn't go back to smoking then, chances are very good that you won't ever go back. All these years I've driven that same stretch of road and I've never once seen a deer. I always wondered if the yellow deer crossing signs were correct. Seems like they are. Denver's had so much hail this past summer. Last time I was there for three days I was glad the hotel I was staying at had underground parking. Cars can be replaced. YOU can't. Glad we don't have to put that to the test.1 point

Milestones

This is the first time in my life I have owned two new vehicles that have never been smoked in. Beyond the time without an analog this is a huge milestone for me personally.1 point -
Well they are right quitting is easy if you find what works for you and obviously e cigs do so I dont see what their problem it's with them besides the money.1 point

I have two and both charge up fine1 point -
I've never vooped. I leave my devices out of the bathroom. Not on purpose or any thinking about it before hand but I was also never that smoker who light up on the toilet and ashed between his legs either. I guess I just do my business and scroll through my phone apps instead.1 point

Want A Gallon Of Free Vg?
Joshmarkharris reacted to Elayna for a topic
I did. You will need to "borrow" someone's business address, they will NOT deliver to a residential address. Used my partner's work address. Got the supercol KPO..... very clear and smooth. But it comes in a 1 gallon bucket, so you'd prolly want to have another container/bottle handy.1 point
