Just because you get the 24 doesn't mean you can only vape the 24 -- if you find that it's too much for you. It's also easy to mix equal parts of the 24 and 18 mg (if you buy the same flavor or something that tastes good mixed), to get around 20 mg or so. My preferred is 12 mg now, but I have juices that go from 0 nic to 24 and everything in between. What and how much I vape depends on my mood, the flavor and what kind of situation I'm going to be in. When in a high stress environment or at a time when I can't vape as much, I go with my 24. When relaxing at home I go with the 12 or sometimes down to 6 mg juice. It all depends. What I'm trying to say in my rambling is that you don't have to stick with just one all the time.4 points

Clouds from a tank?
Tam and one other reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
Depends on how you define "cloud" really. I can fog up my man cave or my office with just a pull or two off a Davide Mini @ 1.8ohms (single coil)at 3.8v on my Spinner 2. It's sort of about the liquid too mine is roughly 75% VG and the rest are flavorings no PG added. I'm not gonna win any cloud competition with a RDA Subohmer but I don't want to lol. My setup and liquid does blow away all my friends setups but the main difference is the liquid.2 points -

Questions about MVP
mkauthen reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
I primarily use bottom-coil / bottom-fill Kanger tanks with my MVP... BUT, like you, I'd rather make the refill (or swap in my case) fast when I run dry/low... SO... I have 10 tanks (6 KPT2's, and 4 AeroTanks) which I currently use in rotation... when one needs a re-fill, I simply unscrew that tank and pop on a fresh one. This serves three purposes for me... 1) no waiting for a freshly filled tank, 2) As each tanks sees use 1-2 times per week, so coils last for weeks and weeks and weeks , and 3) most importantly, I can fill the empty tanks at my leisure (in the evening while watching TV or on a long boring conference-call)... performing any maintenance, cleaning, coil-swaps, etc. at that time, while not interrupting my vaping Another good thing about extra tanks, is that you can have multiple flavors ready-to-vape without wait, as your mood or tastes change throughout the day!1 point -

Good for you, mkauthen! You're learning, kiddo.1 point

Tam has a good point! I have really started to get serious about vaping and quitting cigarettes. When I'm home and no stress, I have a juice that I love but it is only a 6 mg. But if I'm driving, or stressed out, I use my 18 or my 24. There are no rules to vaping (as I'm learning). Trial and error, find what you like, what works for you. No two people vape exactly the same (as I see with me and my husband every day!) just figure out what keeps you from going back to analogs and stick with that. Good luck.1 point

I bought a pack of cigarrattes
mkauthen reacted to christov11 for a topic
what I used to do was to buy a pack and give it to a coworker. when I was having a really horrible day or the urges were too strong I would ask him for one. I had no shame in bumming a cig since I would give them out to whoever needed. karma i guess. either way the gradual decline of actualy smoking was what worked in my case. some days i would have a few and other days i wouldnt have any and now if i have one(because it still happens from time to time socialy) i find it completely grosse and regret it after 2 puffs. im completely turned off the "habit switch" and thats what works for me. might not be what willw ork for you but dont beat yourself up. see it as a step in the right direction as you said1 point -
I had an analog a couple times a week during the first 5 mons of vaping...Then one day my sis-n-law fired one up and I thought I was going to choke...I haven't had one since it has only been 3 mons, but that is progress. Hang in there keep at it.1 point

Clouds from a tank?
triangletodd reacted to charles vapor for a topic
check out the orchid. It's a dual coil setup and has very sufficient airflow for a RTA. My friend has his built at .6 ohms and it rivals a few of his drippers. look into it, I was impressed at the vapor production for it being an RTA.1 point -
Coughing
JayLa reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
High PG ratio juices and high Nicotine level juices will sometimes make me cough... especially in the mornings or if I've not had enough water to drink during the day (dry throat to start with). Even my dripper (running 50/50 PG/VG @ 6mg nicotine) will make me cough from time to time, especially if I take a full lung-hit, rather than my usual mouth-to-lung hits, like I do on my tanks. Analogs have an anesthetic effect... they numb the throat and bronchial tubes, which reduce coughing and the burning effect of all those toxins entering your body (yes, another evil device of big-tobacco to keep you smoking), which is why smoking with a sore-throat always felt so good... and if you think about it... your first analog of the day usually made you cough, but the second, third... twentieth of the day didn't! Changing to a higher VG content of your juice, drinking more water, and changing to mouth-to-lung draws will reduce your urge to cough (usually).1 point -
It could be the way you're vaping. Try taking a shallow draw into your mouth, hold it just a bare second before inhaling. Vaping, while similar to smoking, is a little different. You just need to readjust how you're doing it. Once you get used to it, you can readjust the way you vape to suit yourself.1 point

Comp's gonna be good cop I'm gonna be bad cop haha You "think" it's the nicotine from the cig. But what it actually is, is the oxygen deprivation giving you the rush and euphoria. It's the tar and crap you're body is used to getting. It's no different than any other drug or chemical addiction. You fed the monkey and he loosened his grip a little.......a little. Welcome to chemical addiction. Okay, good cops... take over....1 point

Finally found my flavor

I have been trying every menthol flavor I could with nothing that really WOWed me until right this minute. I got a menthol flavor sample pack from halo a few days ago and I'm in love with the sub zero it's the best liquid I've used in the past 6 months since I switched from the blu.1 point -
Sub Ohming has gotten ridiculous.
mkauthen reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
If there is one thing that will give the anti-vaping lobby the power they need for widespread bans and legislation it is a Mech mod blowing up because someone didnt know how to properly and safely do it. Not downing cloud chasers, just saying it has been on my mind a long time. If we as a community put as much emphasis on safety with mechanical mods there is bound to be an inherent risk associated with the activity. Imagine how the non-vaping community will react when and if a hand grenade explodes in someones face?1 point -

mkauthen reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
To each their own. It's not for me, I'm a tank guy and that will never change. I haven't heard of a battery explosion or anything but can see why one would be concerned given the "pushing it to the limits" approach many take especially those not experienced nor equipped to do so.1 point
