Thanks so much guys for taking the time to tell me your opinions. They are all such good valid points. I've never been a heavy smoker and only about 8 years of it AND started because of being so stressed about family problems. Now I HAVE to quit because of health issues and cutting down or cold turkey didn't do it. I never tried the patch or gum as my gastrologist suggested. When I started vaping I was completely shocked at how I felt and not even wanting a cig. So yeah, it's working! Hubs just will have to understand sooner or later! Doc

I agree with the statements above. Trading one habit for another... maybe. But he will surely like that you no longer smell of cigarette smoke. Vaping is clearly the better option here. Tell him to have a drink and settle down.

We may be trading one habit for another, but in the 5 months since I quit smoking 2 packs a day, I no longer have the cough, no longer have the wheezing sound every time I try to breathe. I can smell things now that I couldn't smell for years, and food tastes better now (gained a little weight because of this LOL). I would say that vaping is the better habit.... cheaper too, for me anyway.

I noticed that Bulk E Juice was not reviewed here under supplier reviews. So I thought that I wold review them in case anyone who had not heard about them could check them out! Usually processed same day and shipped same day if not next day. Depends on how busy they are. After shipped I get my order in 2 days. I am a huge fan of BEJ!

So today was the first full day with a real cig. It would have been a few days ago but found a full pack of the Wides in my truck and hard to resist them. Found them on Thursday and made them last until Sunday morning but my wife was having one when I did so I only had ten cigs in four days. For me that is super awesome. We both had a rough night's sleep due to no before bed smoke and today was going well enough. Went to the local vape store and picked up some Skittle flavored just for my Hades and the gal up there rebuilt my atomizer with dual twisted coils and new wick. What a huge difference. Well the locking ring kept getting stuck on the Hades and as I just got it back together my co-worker came waddling by and knocked it off the table and dented the Hades really bad and I cannot get the lock ring unstuck yet again. It is really difficult to get the battery out and almost impossible to get it back together. But the dang lock ring is warped or something and now the Hades is unusable. So I had to get an Ego Twist like my wifes before I went postal on folks. Then I realize that my juice is for the Hades and is only 6mg. It has no hit at all out of the Ego so it was a rough day. I still didn't have a cigarette though

Vape on a lower setting. If it's not what you like, turn it up a little. Vape. Turn it up a little. When you start getting that burnt taste, turn it down a notch. That is how you find the sweet spot for that juice and set up.

I'll second the char on the coil... when I first started vaping, my coils seemed to last forever, and then my taste-buds started to discern the difference between a fresh coil and a burnt coil! Now, I change my coils a lot more often.... Some juices will not gunk-up and char nearly as quickly as others, and I agree on the "sugary" juices being the big offenders... One of my favorite evening vapes (Chocolate, peanut-butter, caramel) can destroy a coil after about 3-5 tank-fulls (7-12ml of juice)!

Two things - you were a smoker. You've been tasting "burnt" for a while. Cigarettes didn't taste "burnt" to me either. But cigarettes def burn. Vaping is completely different. There is no burning at ALL - unless you burn up the coil. I dont mean to be contradictory for sake of argument. I believe you. I am just suggesting that you look at this like a vaper, with fresh eyes. My wife went thru the same thing when we first started. She would walk by me and I'd say "your coil's burnt" and she would be puzzled "really??". I'd take it apart and show her the little charred black coil, lol. Im just trying to illustrate a point that its not always easy to perceive "burnt". And... I have a theory that a burnt coil can still produce enough power to vaporize liquid and produce vapor but it is also adding burnt byproducts to that vapor that mask the flavor. The flavorings used in e-liquid when super heated leave deposits on the wick and coil which break down chemically and eventually burn when you fire a coil. This is why a coil lasts for only so long before you have to replace it. I've done experiments that show its not the wick itself burning. Take an old coil apart sometime and you'll see what I'm talking about. There is crusty black char built up on the coil that flakes off. I suspect it's the sugar components of the juice that are the big offenders. Hope this helps.

I love my VTR! When I first got it I worried because of its weight. The APV also can double as a self protection device. Hit someone one the head with it and I guarantee they'll go down. lol The Nautilus mini can fit into the VTR but you have to hold the APV upside down, put the tank through it first, THEN you screw in the bottom part. The bottom part won't fit inside the protective metal ring that helps hold the tank to the APV. Been there, done that. It's a pain to do but worth it to keep the Pyrex tank protected instead of using the extension.

You sound like the perfect candidate for an Innokin VTR. You already have experience, you already have 18650 batteries, and you only would need to pick up an all SS tank, like an AeroTank V2 or Nautilus (both fit nicely into the VTR) They make some NICE leather and pleather holsters for the VTR, and with the tank being protected on the side, it will also fit in a back-pocket without fear of breaking the tank off the top (like a MOD, eGo-style or traditional box-style). Just my $0.02 worth!

I cannot imagine running my Spinners wide open using 1.8ohm coils 3.8v is my ceiling. Higher voltage doesn't equate more TH. What resistance is your coil? I could see burning a low resistance coil in a day or less running 4.8v

Just recently I finally threw away the last pack of cigarettes I had sitting in my fridge for over two years now. I was kind of amazed not to feel a hint of panic like I expected.

Yes she did, and a gave a basic answer of what "Dripping" is. It is opening dialog and "Keeping It Simple" I could have typed a long drawn out explanation of dripping down to building coils and how they correlate with dripping. Could have included wicking and all stuff. I chose to keep it simple so she will not get confused even further. I'm the type that when something is not understood I give out small chunks to keep the level of confusion low. If she wants more specific details then more direct questions are needed.

Thats why I am completely hooked on the complex flavors that places like Fadora and Fuzion make.

Propylene Glycol: Carries flavor, provides throat hit, much thinner than VG. Vegetable Glycerine: Vapor Producer, sweeter and much thicker than PG Both appear in products everyone use daily outside the realm of vaping. You do realize that by using commercial tobacco to do this, you are also adding any chemicals that were added to it to your vape right? I do not recommend doing this if you want chem free E-Liquid.

My belief on the level of safety of E-cigs vs Smoking would be roughly akin to giving up a heroin addiction and replacing it with chewing gum. I know, dramatic, but still more people died from choking off chewing gum than vaping. I cannot speak for your situation but I think in a few weeks when you no longer smell like an ash tray and little health issues you may not even have know you had start to clear up he will come around.
