  1. I've read about "matching pairs", rotating, etc. as well... but for all that trouble to keep them mated, charge equally, rotate position, monitor charge/discharge rates, etc. etc.... why bother? ONE 18650 and you're all set! Charge, use, repeat!

    This is insane

Okay, let's all play nice here. Don't make me stop the car. *stern look* This topic is a very good chance to impart some much needed safety issues concerning batteries. Let's not devolve this into an argument. We now return you to your regularly scheduled "POLITE DISCUSSION."

  3. Its a disposable. It will work normally for a week or two and then it will start tasting burnt and lack flavor. Your only option is to biy another one (just the clearomizer - the whole part that attaches to your battery). You may have some luck washing it out and letting it dry fully but it won't prolong its life very much. I would start saving for a few tanks with a replaceable atomizer. That's your next step.

    Drippers are taking over

No. Direct dripping does not have to involve building your own coils. You can buy a premade atomizer (I would also recommend getting a drip shield so it's not messy), and, with a little learning curve, direct drip away. I would also suggest keeping like flavors together in one atomizer like fruits in one, coffees in another, bakery in yet another one... By going from one flavor to another, the old flavor lingers just a bit so you may not want to vape a mixture of coffee flavored e-liquids with a lemon custard. This is the 1.7 ohm: https://www.vaportalkstore.com/510-Atomizer-Low-Resistance-p/510-atomizer-lr.htm This is the 2.2 ohm: https://www.vaportalkstore.com/510-Atomizer-Low-Resistance-p/510-atomizer-lr.htm

Differing personal opinions are always welcome, that's what makes interesting discussions. Personal attacks, however, are not.

Okay, here's a homework assignment for you. Take a battery and use it down. Plug into charger. Get a chair and stare at charger until it turns green. Begin timer...

    This is insane

Ummmm You referring to me? A lot of people call me Comp here... BTW Yes I do CC from time to time so that makes me a Dumbass? I think it is lame to insult and Judge all for the stupidity of a few. ------------------------ "Though the explosion occurred during a cloud competition, the mod that blew up was not owned by any of the competitors in the contest." "the rest of the evening was hushed and subdued as conversations focused on the importance of safety" "(added 08/20/14) A NOTE FROM THE SHOW ORGANIZER: Please note that as a precaution; we, the event organizers decided to cancel the second cloud comp that was scheduled for Sunday. In light of what happened on Saturday, we used the time to have a battery safety class. It was very well received and I believe better attention was paid due to the events of Saturday evening. The entire rest of the day’s give aways focused on encouraging people to ditch bad/unsafe batteries. Many exhibitors stepped up with valuable prizes for surrendering bad batteries." -------------------------------- Those that do this and ignore the safety precautions are not too bright, that I agree on. The ones that think this is toy for amusement are the ones that should think twice about those around them. This is why when new people come on the forum we emphasize safety! Most friends I have that do these competitions are extremely safety conscious. It is the few that don't do the home work and follow ohms law that blow their face off and can harm others around them. I'm glad no one got hurt and hope this person learned a valuable lesson. Seems the people running the event were also doing the wise thing and teaching safety. Maybe what these events should have is a class in safety at every event, spot lighting things like this to show how dangerous it can be. Also add the old standby warning "This can be dangerous and should not be attempted without proper training."
