    Selecting an RBA/RDA...

I'm buying the Russian 91% first, this week... At least this Russian purchase won't claim Citizenship after 5-years and leave with half my stuff, lol... (at least I hope not)... I'm still going to order a KFL+V1 (as a back-up and so I can compare them) and a Magma from Sweet-Vapes, but will likely be a couple of weeks before I make that order

  3. Yeah, that was a lot of info to digest... lol FishGuy, you may be right with the "recess", but one of the notes I read on the V2 said "recessed further into the bottom cap to help prevent e-liquid from being spilled"... so I'm sure if it's deeper, it's probably only a thousandths of an inch? I'm definitely sold on the Russian, and Ma gave me a link where I can get one without breaking the bank. I'll also be grabbing one of the Kayfun's (V1) as a back-up, and to have one to play with! You can never have too many toys, right?

  4. You will need and ohm meter, some kanthal wire, wicking material (organic cotton is popular), small drill bit selection or micro screw driver set to wrap the coils on, tweezers to start. Youtube has a ton of info on coil building as well as here. On the top right of the screen will be a search function, might help you narrow things down a lil. Aside from hardware, ohms law apps and vapors tool box for android phones or steam-engine.org for help with calculateing things. You might want to consider a lower nic level for juice if you decide to use an RDA, not sure what you normaly use though. Many use 6 mg or lower when dripping. Hope that helps.

  9. I'm a full time sub ohm guy. Tanks are just over priced paper weights to me. Unreliable leaky pain in the *** with wet 510 connections is what I think of tanks. I run between .15-.25ohm builds as my daily driver. Speaking of safety a customer of mine at the truckstop bought a 26650 Stingray the other day and had issues with it. I fixed his issues (crappy coils and horrible wicking). When he grabs it today we are talking safety and I'm going to stress that the shop should have taught him more. Anyways I'm educating him today. Its because of some b&m stores that we get bad rep. Honestly this guy would be better with a twist and protank its so much simpler for blogs.noobs

  10. Working on 7-8 months and still hopping. Starting to dial into vanilla custards and similar flavors, mostly darker fuller flavors, but still hop about a good bit.

  11. I just ordered a copper Manhattan mod clone and a Tobh Atty in SS. Plus 28, 26 and 24 gauge kanthal. The mod looks amazing in pics online and heavy as hell. It's a 18650 mod but the copper walls are so thick that it's 24mm outside diameter. I asked in a thread here about putting a 28.5mm rda on an 18650 mod and how bad it would look proportion wise on a 22mm 18650 mod. With this mod an oddish 24mm it may look good with a bigger rda on top of it. The Tobh Atty I ordered is 22mm as couldn't find the Plume Veil SS in stock .

  12. Thanks! Yes, I love the Penny... but only slightly more than the WindRose The Penny is heavy, and feels sturdy and stable in my hand... and it's just friggin' gorgeous! The lock-ring is easy to operate, and I love the reverse-thread bottom cap. The recessed button is not as easy, but not difficult either... it makes for more "positive" feel on firing. I've had it standing on my desk between hits and even with the button "unlocked", no danger of it firing on it's own (at least not yet). The WindRose is "solid", beautifully detailed, and the magnetic button is a breeze to work with. My ONLY complaint is the lock-ring... it needs to be knurled, or WIDER, or have some sort of method to turn it easier without unscrewing the bottom (which is not reverse-threaded). The machining and detail on both clones are fantastic. I'm highly surprised with their quality.... no battery slop, no thread-burs, no gaps... HCigar is getting more of my business!

  13. There are many good vendors to purchase from (avoid eBay when possible... clones and knockoffs 99%), but I would highly recommend the V|T Store (link at top of the page)... Chris has a great selection in the store now, and his prices are hard to beat! $27 for a Genuine Aspire Mini... https://www.vaportalkstore.com/Nautilus-Mini-Airflow-Adjustable-Tank-System-p/nautilus-mini-tank.htm

  17. I realize this is an old thread, but I'd like to add my 2 cents. I've tried cold turkey (four times -- I'm hard-headed), a stop-smoking class (that got me to the 0.1 mg/cig, but never got quit), the gum (raw throat), the patches (I actually quit for 9 months, but it didn't stick because of the habit ) two times, hypnosis (lit up on my way out), Zyban (does that really do anything?), the old e-cig with the nic-soaked paper (too strong), and, finally Chantix. I didn't have any weird psychological effects, although they've been documented well enough that I know they're real, but I did have really severe acid reflux. I was using Zantac AND Pepcid, plus Tums w/ no joy. On my quit day, the reflux was so bad, it threw me into a full-blown asthma attack. I put it aside, went back to smoking, and figured I should just stick a fork in myself, I was done. I did report the reflux to the FDA, but I imagine it went into the electronic version of their circular file. I still wasn't depressed. I kept telling myself that something was going to come along. Sure 'nuff, it did. I've cut my analogs by another 33%! Now, if I can just get rid of the water retention . . .

  21. I think people need to just be responsible and not let that kind of stuff happen. If I'm playing guitar, mixing, playing games, whatever. I ALWAYS lock my mod, sit it on a flat surface, then resume whatever I was doing. We will end up getting these things banned because of people's irresponsibility.

  24. My favorite juice just arrived in the mail and I immediately went to fill my carto. In hast, I unscrewed the cap of a 30 ml bottle, turned it upside down to fill and the drip top came off. All, but about 3 mils, was quickly absorbed by my jeans and sofa cushion. LOL! Lesson #73 - ALWAYS check to make sure the drip top is securely attached to the bottle before using.
