  1. I did a lot of digging before buying my first MODs too... I purchased an HCigar Copper Penny clone and an HCigar WindRose clone. I really loved the feel and all copper body (and contacts) of the Penny! I had never touched the WindRose before ordering one, but understand they are very similar to the Cartel in the weight and thickness of the smooth brass tubes. It should arrive tomorrow or Friday (depending on local PO), so I'll find out very soon if it was worth it! I also considered a Hammer, Cartel, Stingray, Turtle Ship V2, and Overdose... but the Penny was a must-have for me, and the WindRose was "something different" with a really eye-catching Compass-Rose design

  2. 1. The kayfun/russian 91% or Kraken are both excellent choices. IMO the Kayfun will give you exceptional flavor whereas the Kraken will give you a little better vapor production. In either instance both work very well. 2. A build will last simply as long as you want it to last. Personally. I re-build about once a week on my daily setup. Some people use the same coil for a month or two months. Also, I'm sure you're aware that you can replace the wick without replacing the coil. I often re-wick my builds when changing flavors or just because it starts to taste off. 3. Although I do not see many people pre-wrap their coils, I don't see why you couldn't and why it wouldn't work. Just be careful about wrapping too many, because you will likely want to move up gradually as you get more and more used to it. i.e. When I started building coils I was building to about .9 -1.2 ohm, 2 weeks later I was building to .2.-.4, two weeks later I was sub-ohming. Different strokes for different folks I guess though. I can still enjoy a nautilus, but only if I have to. But I know several people that own drippers of every shape and size but still vape their tanks daily. Personally I'm stuck on drippers. Have a kayfun but don't often use it. Cheers!

  3. Yes, basically what FishGuy said... Charger, battery, tank, spare coils, and juices... I've had coils last only a week before they became obvious they needed changing (lack of flavor, hard to draw, leaking, etc), and I've had some last a month or longer... that is why you need spares, as they will always "Go South" on you at the least opportune moments Same thing for Batteries goes for coils... and tanks... you'll want to have at least two of everything... (or more). Your VV3 is a good battery, but what if it becomes damaged or loses charge in the middle of the day? You need a back-up battery, even a smaller or cheaper one... doesn't have to be another VV3. Spare tanks and coils are always a must-have as you try new juices, too... easier to pop in a new flavor into a fresh tank than to take the time to clean out your ONE tank and wait for it to dry, or have flavors mixing that you don't want mixed.

  8. No, it doesn't. If that were true it would have been gone a LONG time ago, pal. It takes several people before the government will do a damn thing, don't you remember alcohol? Oh yeah, and btw, the government could give a **** less about our safety, they want the billions of dollars that they are losing on tobacco sales back. The only thing we can do is promote safety and share our experiences with others so they do not make our mistakes. So like I said, Take your NEGATIVE **** elsewhere. Thanks.

  9. I love my Russian, its a grab and go Rba, same as the kayfun, its a good solid tank, coil I Dont bother changing I think its been 3 weeks now, I do however rewick it regularly, takes about 2 mins to dry burn the coil and stick another batch of cotton in fill the tank and go. I've heard of issues w the kraken. I Dont know from experience. I love my rda's and the magma has deep wells doesn't need the constant refill but yes more then the rba way more, although theyre not the hassles I was lead to believe either. I love the better taste of build your own convenience and ability to clean and go, less expense and time. The only time I had a issue was when I didn't pay ATTN and the locking ring wasn't on and it was hot although the battery did not vent, was at 2.4 eek but was just fine. You have to be careful but.. Coil building is fun & addictive.

  10. Not using the right batteries could also be catastrophic. If your battery is not a quality high amp battery it could become a run away very quickly. Some will turn your MOD into a pipe bomb if the venting is blocked or not enough venting is present. I had a LG battery get very hot after only a few draws of a .5 ohm build. They work great in my VAMO, but not good for sub ohming. Best approach is do your homework and don't just take battery safety for granted.

  12. All the vape meets I've been to so far have had vendors who have juices to sample. Be sure to not expect to have any money left by the time you leave there, though.

    Whatcha Vaping?

I may do contest on this one. I'm stuck for good catchy name. I have had a few names tossed at me, but none are quite what I'm looking for. Names I'm considering are: Spider Venom Lost Paridise Soul Juice Dreamy & Creamy Back to Topic... Testing Mojito tonight that has been steeping for a week now.

  15. You tell me where they sell Dogfish Head 90 min IPA at a cheaper price and I'll go there-love craft beers. On the other hand, you're probably right about the juice. I've seen 50/50 that poured thin and 70/30 that seemed quite thick. With the help by the people on this forum, I'll figure it out. Thanks for your input Bebop. Paul

    new guy question

Vamo is also considered good for the price, however it will require seperate batteries, charger etc... Still good, just different.

  22. You've just guaranteed I won't ever smoke a US made analog again. A friend from Norway says evidently the cigarettes are more "pure" over there, very few additives, if any, and very low addiction rate. The lung cancer rates are incredibly low in Norway - and this friend generally manages to make it through a day smoking very few cigarettes (like, half a pack is excessive smoking for him).
