Just ordered the following: HCigar Windrose Brass MOD w/ 3-tubes HCigar Copper Penny MOD Four Sony VTC5 18650 batteries w/ storage case NiteCore i4 Charger (already have one for my flashlight batteries, but good to have a backup!)

I wait until the quality and quantity of vapor decreases.No sense waisting monies you can use for more tasty liquid.

I have two favorite flavors, and several others that get an occasional hit as a treat to my tastebuds It's not uncommon to grow tired of a flavor as you get your sense of taste back from smoking... sometimes you just need a new flavor, and sometimes it is vapor's tongue where you need to switch up flavors and drink LOTS more water!! Also, be aware of a failing coil or dirty juice. Heat from the coil(s) can cause a "good" juice to go dark and taste funny, especially if you have a habit of topping off a tank before it's half-used, and a failing coil not only will be hard to draw, but can also give juices a "different" taste.

I second that recommendation. It really helps lots.

I just recently got into vw devices. I picked up a vtr. From what I understand you either choose vv or vw, not both. When you use vw and set a wattage the device reads what ohm your coil is and uses ohms law to set the voltage automatically. I recommend reading up on ohms law and vaping. Good luck Garrett

I'm going to sticky this topic with a title change because as has already been said, battery safety is a serious issue. One I think some of the newcomers don't take seriously enough. Great video.

So I bought one of those L Smoke vapes at the flea market about 2 months ago. It was cool really like the strawberry flavored liquids I could find. But I would smoke it a few times and then go right back to the analog. Pack after pack I would continue smoking analog and few and far between would I switch to my L Smoke. Then one day at work I went to lunch and found a Vape shop down the street. Walked in and was amazed at how my life was about to change. I bought myself a new tank. Also got a iTaste base that goes up to 11V. Bought a few small trial flavors and was still kind of back and forth. But yesterday I finally made the complete switch. I didnt have any kind of analogs on me and almost stopped a few times to buy a few packs but I remained calm and kept on my Vape. Smoked it throughout the day and realized more and more how much I liked my vape more than the analogs. So during lunch I went back to the shop and bought a full bottle of Space Jams Pluto flavor. And I am hooked. Also tried out Suicide Bunnys Mothers Milk which was pretty cool too. I am really invested in this it seems now after a day and finding this forum and reading so much and realizing there is so much to learn and do. Im looking forward more and more to my journeys. But after that long winded beginning I just wanted to say hi.

I change coils when they start to taste funky or become hard to draw (sign the wick is gunked-up). I've not had a coil pop or fry, but did have one short-out on the first firing... no biggie though Cleaning the contacts on the battery when you swap tanks is always a good thing, just to keep juice drops at a minimum. Juice leaking into the battery via the contact pin is a sure way to have a battery fail. Cleaning the bottom of the tank/coil area is a good habit too. Once you fill the tank, I like to give a little puff or two down the drip-tip of my EVODs or KPT3-minis to dislodge anything in the tube (shoots out the bottom onto a napkin). My larger tanks have AeroBases, so no danger of drips from the coil finding their way to the battery. I never bother wiping down the coil-head or stem when filling the tank.

Personally I think Vapers Tongue is sort of mythical a lot like I believe steeping to be. I mean, people say you have to rotate flavors but my wife has vaped one flavor for almost the entire time she has vaped and other than the first couple months so have I. We both quit cigarettes and started vaping the same day, 4-23-2013. For over a year I have vaped Endless Summer from Fuzion 18mg and she has vaped Peppermint from ECBlends in 24mg since her 3rd or 4th week in. Both taste the same from then till now. I notice you are about 2 months in or a little over. I have a theory that "Vapers Tongue" is simply your taste-buds growing back and functioning correctly so you are actually tasting what you are vaping. There are literally dozens of foods I loved when I smoked that I cannot stand now and even more that I couldn't stand before that I like now. The transformation of smell and taste is so huge it is staggering. I LOVED some flavors when I started that I cannot even stand the smell of now but have vaped the same thing for at least a year if not a little over that with no change in taste or satisfaction. With that said, it took a couple months for me to find the flavor that my new and improved taste-buds liked. Once I did it made all the difference in the world. Just my 2 cents.

You should NOT be stacking batteries... these are not AA Flashlights! Slight variances in battery chemistry or discharge rates can cause catastrophic or deadly results! Seriously, I mean no disrespect here, and I appreciate your enthusiasm to jump into Mech Mods, RDA/RBA, building coils, etc., but if you don't get a good grasp of the basics (and heed some of the advice you've been given already), I fear you're going to hurt yourself... and none of us want to see that happen!

Ordered them from Vape Playground. I've never ordered from them before, but a couple others said they were good to deal with and fast shipping... so... we'll see how it goes. I'd been dying to get a Copper Penny... and the design on the Windrose was just too stunning to pass up (as well as magnetic switch and separate tubes). If I like the Brass one, I may order a stainless too...

Its a convenience and safety meter, I'm going for it. Tonight was the perfect example w my much mod, ran the battery way lower then usual. Having that handy would be helpful.

Fantastic! Thanks! My local shop couldn't hold a Copper Penny MOD for me, and no clue when they were getting more. Vapor Playground has them cheaper than anyone else, and their shipping is also saving me $8-10 over other sites.

Right now, my go to juice is Dr Funkworth's Old Timey Pearisian Elixer, from Funksauce.

I'm liking it... now I just need some more juice... haha.

I've seen my local shops do this to people atleast 10 times. A .3 ohm coil on stock airflow is almost ALWAYS too hot. You need to drill your topcap out a little for more airflow and it will not be so harsh

I'm kind of in the same boat when it comes to volts/watts. It confuses me enough that I won't even try to explain it, haha. Check out steam-engine.org they have a wattage and voltage calculator there that may help!

Are you using organic cotton? if so, you may be getting a slight dry hit. This happens when you roll the cotton to tight. If not, get some, it will have a slight after taste for the first couple draws, but will fade quickly.
