  1. I recieved the nautilus that I won in the vapor talk contest last Friday. I have to say so far I am loving it. It can handle much more watts then my I clear x.1. And the flavor is much more intense. I can not say how impressed I am with the people who run the forum and the store. Thank you to everyone.

  2. I was running late for work today & left my mod in the truck, the parking lot is far from the job site so I got an analog from my buddy. He asked me "are you sure you want to smoke?" I told him just one for old times sake. I started smoking & it was just terrible! I didn't get half way & tossed it! My buddy was impressed! Now he's thinking about vaping...

    Noob To vape

No. That's pretty normal I think. I smoked for like 18 years before I started. It did give me a heavy feelings in lungs at first. Went away after a few days and now after 4 months I can breath a lot better.

  6. Before starting out did you first wash the RDA? Sometimes the machining oils they use to build them will remain and give off a nasty taste. Don't rely on the Vamo to read ohms. They may not be accurate. Better to get a dedicated ohm meter just to be safe. I'm also moving this topic to the general modding section.

  7. It's all about "equality", with some industry being more equal than others... A week's worth of smokes - $40... a week's worth of Juice - $15... so the gov't, in their infinte wisdom, and pressure from tobacco lobby, work to tax and regulate vaping until juice costs 300% more, or $45 for a week's worth ... Then we have a "level playing field" for alternatives, which does not give advantage of one over the other... unless of course you count the extra $5 for vaping juice, which the gov't is okay with, because the juice is not as bad for you as smoking... so you should pay more for the healthier alternative (so they say)!!

  8. You need to remove the wick first. Then fire it until the coil glows red. Before it cools compress the coils together perpendicular to the diameter. Squeezing the gaps closed. Each time you co this you should see the coil glow more even and eventually from the center out very even. Then rewick. Make sure not to compress or adjust with power on. Also, find a drill bit, screw driver, syringe tip etc to slide in and out to keep coils aligned. Just be careful and patient at first.

  9. Well I slipped up today and had a smoke. Well a drag of a smoke. I can honestly say it was disgusting. Everything about it grossed me out. But I guess that's good right? I have nothing to miss now

    Hello from MT!

Hi! I'm from MT as well. I just started vaping and I'm trying to convince my hubby to give it a go to kick his chew habit.

Patricia, I got the green display and the extension for the bigger battery. The glass tip should be lovely with it Here is mine with a new custom tip on it. The display isn't lit up but the green really looks good on it

  13. You can post your question in your intro message. It will get answered. That section is set up for new members to introduce themselves and ask any questions they might have. It gives the community members a chance to get to know you and help you with questions.

Mommabird, What color did you choose for your display and LED color. I'm ordering me one too. So pretty. I can't decide if I want the red or green color for display. Also did you get the extension? I'm really just reading about it now but I assume the extension is for a bigger battery? I've got my eye on a beautiful crystal ball drip tip to go on it from a lady who hand makes them from glass.

  15. So the clone has a magnetic switch? Interesting. Good hear that is is performing well. Mine is a hard hitter too. I like how there is no delay in heating the coils.

  16. First attempt building an RDA. Took about 5 minutes, not as easy as it looked in tutorials. 24 gauge single strand .4 ohm. image by Richstag, on Flickr

  17. They may come around to the realization that PV's are safer than tobacco, but, I believe, that won't stop them from trying to tax the crap out of the juice side......there's too many dollars flying around that they're not getting their greedy hands on. I may be wrong, but I've been told their intentions are to tax a bottle of juice the same as a carton of cigarettes. Greedy !$^&*$^^!!!

  18. To me it gives better flavor production.

  19. Compenstine

    PG vs VG

PG Carries the flavor and adds throat hit. It is thinner so it will wick better. VG Less Flavor (depending on the Juice Maker) less to no throat hit and creates better vapor. It is thicker and will not wick as easily. Your Nicotine level will also affect throat hit in both.

  20. Straight from Vapinology. ... "G-Plat Public Announcement: As all of you are aware, there have been some concerns that have been brought to our attention in regards to the composition and safety of G-Plat wires. We have spoken to the metallurgist at the facility in which our wires are being prepared and he has given us some insight regarding the “Manganese” content of G-Plat wires. Manganese has no part in the actual composition of both our V1.2 and Elite versions of G-Plat. However, during the manufacturing process, the wire is exposed to Manganese indirectly due to other types of wires containing Manganese being produced within the same facility. Although it may seem as if a member of the G-Plat team issued a WARNING about the use of G-Plat wires, the conversation has been misinterpreted to make it seem as if G-Plat wires are a health risk. Our team member, knowing that our wires may have been exposed to trace amounts of Manganese, was only trying to look out for the best interest of an individual that stated he was allergic to the substance. With that being said, we would like to apologize for the delay in providing the information that the vaping community has been requesting. We are currently waiting on our metallurgist to provide us with the most accurate information about the wires (i.e. although Manganese is listed on the MSDS, it is not part of the actual composition of G-Plat wire). The information will be disclosed to the vaping industry no later than tomorrow evening. We appreciate those of you who believe in our product and continue to stand behind us as we overcome this obstacle! Regards, Mark Vape, Melmie Lincod & G-Plat Team "

  22. Chris is the man, and has created, in my personal opinion, the greatest vapers forum on the net. Shame, double shame to the vultures, pecking the eyes of our innocence.

  23. No you cant blame them for shooting any angle they can, I would lol. I still cannot get over the transformation of the VT store. I mean when I first came to the forum it was little more than a side bar if I am being 100% honest and now you have basically everything I use cheaper than I have been paying anywhere else. Kudos my man!
