  1. I'm sitting here in my room in Baghdad, Iraq tonight really missing my wife and 6yr old son. I've been in country since March 23rd and although its only been a little over 2 months it feels like a lifetime. A lot has happened over the past 2 months. I've taken two helo flights to Basra (a butt numbing 3 1/2 hour flight from the Baghdad Green Zone) The second trip was pretty exciting as I had to escort my VIP to election polling sites for Iraq's first solo primary elections. Although the elections went down without a problem, violence is now spreading due to the results. Truth be told I'm just ecstatic that none of our teams were targeted. A few weeks ago I had the rare but dangerous opportunity to visit a flooded area in the town Abu Gharib which is just a few km's away from Fallujah (twice, as if once was not enough). Al Qaida is currently fighting the Gov't forces and has full control of Fallujah, Ramadi and most of Abu Gharib. Al Qaida blew up a dam and everything within a 15-20km radius is mostly under water. On a lighter note I just successfully completed my 10 day weapons and fitness re-qualification for the year. It was fun but the heat at times was almost unbearable, 104-110 degrees. My fitness level (thanks to vaping) has really increased in the past 2 months. I have completed a 1/2 marathon (sorry treadmill, too dangerous to run outdoors) in under 2 hours and am now working on getting my 10km run under 45 min (currently at 48 min). It's great to feel healthy again. My countdown to reuniting with my family has begun. On June 14th I get to leave for a quick but much needed 7 day break to meet up with my family in Europe who will be on vacation. I'm not too worried about it being short because come August 1st I plan on traveling back to the US to meet them there for a nice long 1 month break. I'm so looking forward to that time off. Anyways I just thought that I would share my recent experiences. Just so you all know I'm not in the military but work as a Dignitary Protection Officer for the United Nations. My military and police days are long past, but my sense of service is still very strong within me (I guess for many of us it's just all we know). Everything I've mentioned above has been made public via the United Nations. Take care and have a great day. DragonGunner

Thanks for the replies everyone. Coming here to the forum is like my therapy. It gives me peace of mind that I can talk about certain aspects of my job, because I can't really tell my wife some of the dangerous things and places that I go. That's just a no no and would just cause her more unnecessary stress. All of you are awesome.

  3. Thanks for all you are doing for our country Dragongunner. My dad is a retired Lt. Col in the Army. 32 years of service so I respect you guys so very much. I have a plenty stock up of juices so if you ever are in need because you cannot get any juice let me know and I will send you some. Do they allow you to get this type of stuff over there where you are? Thanks again for all you do.

Josh can take one of the beaters and I'll take the other. If Crush comes over to kill this nasty little flying dust bucket of a miller I'll let him have the bowl.

  17. I kinda liked Mother's Milk, but it just didn't have the creaminess that I look for in my flavors. I took a leap and tried some other juice that was said to be much more rich and creamy than MM. I am very impressed with it. It's like a thick strawberry and vanilla milkshake, but is described as a strawberry custard. I don't get any of the "egginess" (not a real word, but you get it, lol) that most custard juices carry. Maybe with a long steep, but not sure as of yet. I'm super happy with how it is fresh out of the mail. I must say that it may be my new ADV. For a high VG juice, it is loaded with flavor.

  18. I'm jealous Josh! My Magma is at home but my wife will have to bring it to me during our European vacation. Hopefully my Copper Viggo will get in as well (not to mention 500mg of juice and the recently released black edition Kayfun v3). I can't wait to try the magma out on the Viggo. Ahhhh the wait is killing me. You all think vape mail is slow.....try ordering something and not being able to get it for months....uhhh well I guess there is fasttech or slowtech whatever everyone is calling it these days

  24. So I finally received mine, and after only 2 days this is what I have to say about this clone from FT.... DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! It looks good, but that is about it. Barely 24 hours into having this, the mini USB port broke free from the epoxy that was holding it in, their is something either faulty with the wiring connections or the board itself, it will randomly detect my atomizer as like 4 or 5 ohms which will adjust the voltage output based on my wattage setting to something super high, resulting in a super burnt taste, thats when it actually wants to detect the atomizer at all. I think for a mod like this, the only route to go would be authentic. (that's something I NEVER say, so that should tell you something about this clone)

  33. I paid over $100 more than two years ago for a cigalike kit with charger/case two batteries and about 10 or 20 cartridges. Didn't make it through three cartridges. It was that bad. Like it was already mentioned, about the only advantage of the look alike was it's small size and look of an analog. That would be good if you were trying to make peoplke think you were smoking a real cigarette, imo. Don't know why anyone would want to do that. As for me I LIKE walking about town with my eGo. I'm sure I'll like it with my spinner too. Not sure I'll be lugging around the ZMAX lol. I want people to come up to me and ask me what I have. What is that? What does it do? You mean it's not tobacco? Where does that smoke come from (ah, glad you asked ma'am, but that isn't smoke it's vapor).

  35. Ok. So, I finally got my hands on a Magma last week. Gotta say, I friggin love this thing! The only drawback I can see at this point, is the airflow limitation. I'd like a little more airflow, but the vertical holes in the deck are positioned so close to the inside edge, that I feel I'd just wind up ruining the dam thing by trying to drill em bigger. But all in all, it's a kickazz little dripper! I can fill it up and vape away for quite a good while before needing to reapply. I recommend this atty to anyone wanting an easy to use RDA but doesn't wanna have to redrip every 3rd or 4th pull.

  38. Don't know how true it is but from what I've heard from a few ppl. Two people set of to develop a new tank system had a spilt and thus the 91 and kf was born. Same sh** different name. Some say the 91 was the original. Personally both damn good systems

I took my favorite juice canister out of it's hiding spot, so I'm vaping Fadora Watermelon because I ordered a bunch more over the weekend, so I'm not as scared to use it all up now. Have been saving the last few ML while I vaped Grape and Strawberry Fadora and some watermelon i had from EC blends. I use the EC blends for new hardware and new builds when theres a chance it might run down the drain or something. I'd never risk Fadora juice for testing o-rings and such.

  40. Its mostly just different terminology, when I got started not that long ago it was all e-cigs and the cigarette look-a-like devices were called cigalikes. IMO, stick with something like the Ego style devices like this to start with if you want something really cheap http://www.fadoravapor.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=31_32&products_id=52 I paid about $30 for a similar device locally, which was only half as much as I spent on a stupid blue starter kit a year before that's collecting dust somewhere. I quickly moved up to an MVP 2.0 that i paid about $40 for and it was way nicer, but starting out with a box mod isn't for everyone, which is why I recommend the Ego-T type batteries and clearomizers.

  43. I tried the e-cig route... hated it... The batteries don't have much capacity, nor do the cartomizers... the vapor production (and taste) dropped off to nothing, quickly... and the price for disposables was costing me more than actual smoking! The rechargeables were just not cutting it too (prices were outrageous compared to an eGo-style kit), and lack of "flavor" offerings is soooo limited for e-cigs, compared to vaping. The only advantage to e-cig for me was they were small and don't draw the attention my larger eGo battery and clearomizer do in public places.

  44. I'm still relatively new to the whole vaping process, but I wouldn't wait until you have a very strong burning flavor to stop. Once you start to sense that "burning" taste, then yeah I would replace it. Sometimes the readers can be off though, so use your best judgment Jazz

    Ohm question

"Be Prepared"... The Boy Scout Motto! When I'm "out and about", I always carry a spare eGo battery and coil, and sometimes I'll even bring a spare tank and 10ml of juice, too... You never know when you'll have failure of equipment, breakage, or bet out longer than you expect. Obey Murphy's Law

  46. Good tips guys, thanks! I purposely used a 1.8 in one and a 2.2 in another last night and the only difference was the voltage setting to crank out the vape. Saving battery one tank at a time now!
