  1. I wasn't even looking at getting a mech mod when one jumped into my hands for free! Now there are two mechs and two APVs. I don't even want to start counting all the Spinners and regular eGo batteries I have now.

  2. Yes it is always a good Idea when available to boost the flavor with a higher VG juice. Some times extra steeping time will do the trick as well giving time for the flavoring to flavor the VG.

  4. I understand what you mean about wanting an analog when you first start vaping... the first week or so is the hardest part. What worked for me is that I bought my last carton and about halfway through it, I bought my eGo-T starter kit... I started vaping when I had only 3 packs left, and managed to stretch those 3 packs over the next week. I forced myself to NOT buy another pack of analogs. A week later, I didn't miss them! As a treat for not smoking analogs, I bought myself another starter kit (cheaper than buying more batteries singly), and two Kanger mini ProTank3's... picked them all up for the price of a carton of my usual analogs Speaking of tanks, no... you can't have too many, IMO. If you vape a lot of different flavors, or (like me) still experimenting with different flavor/tank/coil/battery combos, you'll really want a tank for each flavor, especially if you're using plastic tanks, because they tend to hold flavors, unlike glass tanks. Once a wick has picked up a flavor, you can get away with a similar flavor in the same tank, but not something "different". Like Tam said, washing, or at least a hot water rinse/soak is a good idea from time to time, as it will get the "gunk" out of them. I'm still fairly new to this myself, too, and I just counted my tanks... 7 unopened Ce4 tanks, two in use (I'll start looking for a deal on bulk-pack on eBay soon)... four BCC tanks (with 12 spare coils), and six BDC tanks (with 14 spare coils). Personally, I think I could use a couple more, lol... but I'm determined to actually "save" some cash over the summer. So until Labor Day, I've given myself a limitation... only spend $ on e-juices, atomizer coils (or Ce4 tanks), and only 'replace' any of my equipment if it becomes damaged or malfunctions.... No more upgrades for a while!! After Labor Day, I plan to learn to build my own coils, since I'll have enough atomizer heads to make it worthwhile, and maybe treat myself to a new battery MOD and a couple of nice glass or all-stainless-steel tanks closer to Christmas! It's easy to go nuts on equipment (batteries, tanks, coils, juice, stands, cases, blah, blah), but in the long-run, what you're saving on NOT smoking makes it worthwhile, IMO, and really getting INTO the hobby is another aspect that will keep your mind off analogs... at least it has for me!

  5. Your welcome Any time... That is what doing custom juice is all about for me. If I have the flavorings I can do it quick.

  7. With the variety that is out there, no one should ever limit themselves to 1 brand of juice.

  8. +1 on this... I was experimenting with a little Wintergreen and Cinnamon added to my cigar flavor and cracked a Ce4 on the second fill-up! This is why I moved mainly to Pyrex tanks. I still use the plastic ones, but keep them limited to my sweet flavors... my after-meal treats, lol.

  9. I thought it was going to be more of a vanilla flavor. Oooh well good thing it was only like 4 bucks. Lol.

  10. You can really crank the 2.7s, but I think you will find the 1.7s more to your liking.

  11. Yours is working as its supposed to where pressing both buttons at once will show ohm followed by voltage for capacity. Holding down the P or V (looks like a U but it's a V for Voltage) either one will show your puff counter followed by that setting where you tap it. I'm not sure about the manual, but holding down both buttons (well actually its just a press now that I think about it) should show ohms followed by a voltage readout which tells you the batteries remaining capacity. Setting wattage like you're already doing is the way to go, so sounds like you're already doing everything just right. I've never seen mine cycle all four readouts or read in any of the forum users instructions that it should, I have my manual I can check and see if mines wrong (well different from what it really does). I'm usually a manual reader, but in this case I read several how to guide type threads and I don't know if I ever read the manual after I learned how to use it, and if I read it before I used it, I was such a noob I didn't know what I was looking at wasn't how it worked lol. Nice catch on that.

  12. Ever since I got this Nemesis mechanical mod and the nimbus RDA and went to sub ohms, i've pretty much shelved all of my regulated mod devices. I wish I would have know about mechanical mods from the get go. I could have saved myself a couple a 100 bucks. Regulated mods dont have half the balls as mechanical mods!

  14. I always have a backup for my backup. So if I start to burn juice, which rarely happens anymore, I switch to a different device. I handle all my liquid and gear at my vape station which is off limits to everyone. There is no room for error. I compare this story to drinking your spit cup. Same results. Same mistake. Glad you're OK and happy vaping.

  15. LOL I do, but he would spend even more by doing that. If for some reason they do not replace it, contact me and I can get you a replacement pin. I have those too.

  16. Ce series are top-coil, much like the iClear 10/16/30 tanks (510 threaded), and are plastic. If you like that style, eBay and dozens of online retailers will have your best prices for replacement coils and drip-tips. BTW, Ce5's are the same as Ce4's, but with replaceable coil/wick units. Personally, I like the bottom-coil tanks (cooler vapor and you don't have to tip them often to keep wicks loaded), but it is your choice on what works best for you... Just a personal opinion, here... the Kanger Mini ProTank 2 (single coil) or Mini ProTank 3 (dual coil) both work well with pen-style (eGo) batteries, as they are roughly the same diameter as the battery... I use both the PT2 (using 2.0 ohm coil) the PT3 (using 1.5 ohm coils) on my 1100mAh pen-style, and both work well. I find that the dual-coils, obviously, burn more battery power and a bit more e-juice than the single-coil atomizers. And, I also use the Ce4's (disposables) quite often, so there is nothing wrong with top or bottom-coil units... again, just your personal preference!

  18. My name is Doug, 50 years young, smoked for approximately 35 of those years. Bought a couple ce4 blister packs to start with and have not touched an analog in 2 months. Now I have an Itaste vv3 with a mini protank 3 and what a difference. I have been following this forum for awhile and have learned a lot . Thank you everyone!!!

    Bootleg Vapors

I ordered a bunch of juice from them. Most of the flavors were really good. Loved the gummy candy, calipso coconut and raspberry with ice hit. You can't beat the prices and the customer service was great. They sent a full size free sample with my order and when I emailed them about a custom flavor they took care of me right away. I'm really happy with them and will order some big bottles soon.

    Gothic Vapor

I first discovered gothic vapor while looking for a good price on an x-fire skull battery kit. They had the right price and sent me a 10ml free sample of their signature Saucy Wench. It was delicious but since I never offered juice from them they sent a low nic. So, I decided to try some of their juice. I ordered their candy sampler and every flavor is spot on and delicious! Shipping is really fast and their prices are pretty good. They have a lot of flavors I really want to try. I will be ordering from them again.

  22. I had the same problem for the first couple of months, mostly the throat irritation and sinus issues. I was determined to not go back to analogs. I took a benedril on the bad days and one day it just stopped. Hang in there.

  24. Hands on is good and if your used to using a multimeter fantastic. It is still a good idea to watch lots of vids on making coils. I grew up with a multimeter in my hand so to speak. but still researched the crap out of you tube watching vids. Rip Trippers is a good one for coil builds to start with and Grimm Green for mod suggestions. Start small and work your way up as you feel comfortable. I would go with a 18650 Mod to start with and either Sony VTC 4s or VTC 5s for batteries. Either way start with the 1.xx ohm builds and if you decide to go lower ohm make sure you have a good handle on the higher ohm builds first.

  26. Yeah I was about fourteen and my sisters boyfriend thought it was funny to give me some at the bowling alley. It was cool for about five minutes and then I barely made the bathroom.

  27. Even before you get a mod, get yourself a dedicated ohm meter and acquaint yourself with Ohm's Law. If you already have one and understand the theory of Ohm's Law, then good for you and continue researching the mods and RDA/RBAs and wire and wick/cotton and torches and...and...and... We're big into safety and doing it right around here.

  36. 1.8ohm coil in a Davide Mini (single coil) is the best vape I have found personally, but everyone likes something different. Second would be KPT 2 single coil. You guys can have the dual coil stuff, I prefer to pay $1 a coil and they do everything I need plus no need to clean coils at that cost.

  37. Why the obsession with vaping at higher voltage? If it keeps you off analogs and gives good vapor it's doing what it is supposed to. I guess I just don't get why anyone would need anything more than a single coil unit on a std VV battery. To each their own but see a lot of these threads lately and as a Vaper that has been off analogs over a year I just don't get it. I guess I backwards lol, my Vamo collects dust while I opt for Vision Spinners, EVOD VV, and most times a standard non VV Ego. Also no dual coils for me haha.

  39. I've tried this method today with a juice I had. My problem wasn't that the juice had a strange bad flavor, it was more lack of flavor. I can say so far this hasn't done anything for me. I'm now letting it steep naturally in a cupboard with the lid off for a few days.

    Cloud Chasing Problem

I'm not new to the technical aspects and am not going to blow up my battery or face, but I am trying to narrow down why I'm not getting the results I want. Here's My Setup: Nzonic mechanical mod (clone -ehpro) Sony 18650 batterys (30amp) Omega RDA (clone) 28gauge canthol wire .4 ohm dual coil setup w/ organic cotton Why isn't this shooting out vapor? I'm talking about when the cover and drip tip aren't even attached. Vapor production looks weak. I don't understand. My microcoils look good. Could it be just that my mech mod is crap? I am getting at least twice the production of my kayfun lite, but shouldnt this be like 1 sec draws and a lot of vapor? I watched a RIP Trippers video of a 24 gauge single nano coil he made and it was SHOOTING out vapor.... I did the same thing with 24 gauge and still the same, not much vapor... I have to inhale for a good couple seconds to create a decent sized cloud.. @ 5:46...
