  1. Okay I went outside and yelled a bit, and poured another.. Guy came in the shop today, regular customer..loves a couple of our flavs, educated, hangs with great equipment, knows his stuff, has some burn marks on his face..I ask him WTF? He says he will never go below .9 again, and not to ask anymore.. You fracking chasers are gonna ruin for all of us, so many "accidents" happen unreported cuz your too badass. And then some dork *** punk wants to blow the learning curve.. Probably never smoked a stinkie and just wants to look cool.. I am so tired of this behavior I'm willing to lose money on it...

  3. I'm sorry but this guy sounds like an accident waiting to happen. I started vaping August of last year with a simple 1100 mah pen batt and a T2 and it took me until March of rhis year to get a RBA. I also have a RDA that im still not sure about. Its at. 5 ohms and I tried it once and with 24 nic it about kills me. But I still dont feel safe using it. I like my kfl+ it's 1.5 ohms so I know im safer, even on my mech. I am still learning and understanding ohms law. Its a must.

  5. Amen. I admit I sometimes cruise into things a little quicker than I should. But not doing your research and not knowing what could happen if you mess up....that's just stupidity.

  8. After reading this a little closer I would have to agree with the safety factor here. If you want to chase clouds you should at least learn what can go wrong even with a setup designed for chasing. I know many that have plenty of knowledge in this and things still go wrong. It was the knowledge they learned that keep it from being a major issue. This is not a toy or a simple fact of having it. You need to learn what can go wrong. That way IF something does start to go wrong you don't blow your hand off or need years of face reconstruction. I'm not saying that to be mean or a jerk it is fact and that can happen.

  9. Along with my e-liquid. I'm excited! I love love love the Nautilus tank! It does look a bit ridiculous on my Atmos RX Raw battery since the tank is huge compared to it but I love how you can adjust the airflow and how smooth it makes every hit. I'll attach an image of my ridiculous looking e-cig when I get home from work.

  10. I'm just getting into this new "obsession", lol, and I'm thinking I have enough tanks to keep me in business for a while (yeah, right), but the only batteries I have right now are four eGo-T (1100mAh), pen-style. They work well for me as they have kept me off the analogs, are portable, hold a charge all day and then some, but my dual-coil tanks just don't seem to be benefitting from their power offering. I have Ce4's, single-coil EVOD's and a Pro Tank 2 Mini, and they seem to do well on the batteries I have, and honestly, the Ce4's seem to produce better vapor... but that could just be the juices I've been trying? Or, perhaps the Ohm rating of the BCC atomizers is too high (think they are 2.2)? I have a couple of the EVOD2 Glass and a Pro Tank 3 Mini's (all using 1.5 Ohm dual-coils), and they do work on theses batteries, but seem to have intermittent weaker hits and obviouslly they put more strain / drain on the batteries as well. I've been looking at some of the VV/VW batteries like the MVP 2.0 to take better advantage of my dual-coil tanks. The MVP 2.0 seems to have really good reviews and I can pick one up (kit with i30 tank) for < $40, but I also wanted to get an opionion and suggestions on some of the "round" VV/VW options out there... which won't break the bank! Honestly, I like the idea of the MVP 2.0 "smart" battery, but not exactly crazy about the bulky "box" style (guess I'm being a bit picky?)... Then again, I'd be using the VV/VW battery primarily at home, and the eGo-T/EVOD or Ce4 combo when out-and-about.... So, any suggestions are WELCOME!

  13. We all tried. I'm not going to let myself get so ticked off that it screws up my day or night over his issues. I'm not his parent, and none of us need that agrivation. Hopefully he takes something from all this and makes good choices. If not, nothing we say will change that.

    Aspire Nautilus Troubles

Somewhere on another thread I saw a post about a Nautilus recall. You might want to double check with the vendor you used. Just a thought.

  17. It sounds to me like the wattage may be too high, or your draw is too light to wick the fluid up the wick as fast as you're firing back to back. Are you running about 7.5 or 8 wattage wise? I would definitely try power mode at it's lowest settings. I don't think the reading being off .1 or .2 would cause as much of a problem as you're having. It should take longer to break in the coils than you're getting out of their whole lifespan, you might try soaking them in alcohol, rinsing them and letting them dry and then trying them again since you're throwing so many away on their first day. It could be that the particular juice you're running doesn't wick as well on the Nautilus as it does on the Kanger, so that might be worth a try. Also, are you dry burning the coils in the Nautilus, I made that mistake although it was more of a test, I kind of expected it to be bad. A very quick dry burn with just a tap of the button burnt the crap out of the wick. But that was with a completely clean and dry coil unit. Are you running 1.6 ohm coils in the Nautilus? If so you especially need to have the VW on a low setting. Have you tried changing the air flow to create a different draw that will help pull the fluid up the wick more?

  18. Personally I can't say enough good things about the MVP 2.0. Your post is like a carbon copy of my same exact thoughts about a month ago. I was worried the box would be a problem. I was very wrong, it's not a problem at all and I'm now in love with the form factor. If the MVP 2.0 was 75 bucks I would tell you to buy it. However at $40, I'm telling you that it's crazy not to buy it. My best friend has gotten into vaping and thought his spinner knockoff was the best thing ever. I convinced him to buy the MVP 2.0 by telling him that if he didn't like it, I would buy it for his cost plus 20 bucks extra. The VV3 is a nice device for what it is, but in my opinion the MVP 2.0 is closer to the "must have" side, while the VV3 is on the other end of the spectrum at "would be nice to have in addition to the MVP 2.0 if I find it for a steal, but there's no immediate need". If possible to send him your business, one of our awesome members and the best juice chef around in my opinion, Compenstine w/ Fadora Vapors has the MVP 2.0 showing in stock and is having a store wide sale right now. You can get up to 25% off http://www.fadoravapor.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=34_36&products_id=119 Oh and also, you're exactly right about being able to still use your ego style batteries when you need something tiny. I swap setups back and fourth and don't have any problems with the center pins being different lengths on different cartos or anything like that. I'm currently using 2 Aspire ET-S cartomizers with their 1.8 ohm coils, a protank 3, and iClear 30S (bought it seperate from MVP 2.0 and I like it much better than the iClear 30 regular in case that's helpful. I also have 3 rebuildable dripping atomizers I'm using when I direct drip, the MVP 2.0 works great in single coil and dual coil although dual coil 2 ohm RDA setups eat battery quickly, but it's because I'm running high ohm/high power output. I have an Aspire Nautilus that I paid for thats stuck on backorder but the Nautilus Aspire and MVP 2.0 are a match made in heaven IMO.

  22. I like hearing about vaping truckers. It's also nice to have a good dripper to enjoy at the end of the day like a strong cigar. I'm sad I'm without one for a few weeks. I look forward to posting my vape mail and seeing up my new omega when it arrives.

  23. What I'd like to know is...how is heating flavoring, VG, PG and nicotine magically going to create formaldehyde? Don't you need a few more things in order get this new chemical? Here's what I know about vaping: I feel better. It's improved my health that are measurable through proven scientific methods. I'm much happier when I vape. And best of all, I don't feel the need to wring stupid people's necks when I'm too busy vaping. Best perk ever!

  24. The reason I take no value from this article, is due to the following excerpt; But according to two new, peer-reviewed studies coming out in the journal Nicotine and Tobacco Research Peer-review is NOT hard science. You can get 10 people to agree to something, but thst doesn't make them correct in their assumptions. Especially when they didn't spell out what conditions for testing they used. What "control" measures did they use. Ah, screw it! Nevermind, I'll continue to vape until they outlaw all the ingredients to make e-liquids, li-ion batteries, and kanthal wire. Bunch of friggin... *grumble-mumble,no good...grumble*

  25. When you get into RDAs you need to lower that nic level otherwise the throat hit will blast your tonsils. Talking from experience here. To the OP: In four more days I'll have two years of vaping under my belt. I'm very familiar with Ohm's Law. I've also rebuilt car engines back to factory specs. I'm no stranger to which end of the wrench to use. That said, even after all my experience when I got into RDAs (and I own a K100), I'm still learning. I built quite a few coils now, tested them on a dedicated ohm reader specifically made for e-cig parts as well as a Fluke meter to make sure I've got everything done right. The wick is what's got me stumped. I've youtubed the hell out of it and I'm using the correct batteries to make sure it's safe to use with the ohms the coils are at. And still no clouds. As a matter of fact I get more clouds out of my Anyvape Davides than I'm currently getting out of my RDAs -- so much so that I have to turn on a fan to clear the vapor in the room. Everyone is telling you to put safety and experience first because we've all been there, done that. No one wants to see you get hurt, and it's a very real possibility if you're not familiar with vaping and all the safety aspects that go with it. Just my two cents. You'll do what you want.

  31. Wrapping coils is quite easy, you don't have to do the crazy "diamond nano micro flux capacitor" type builds. Start with a nice dual coil build. You really only build one coil then you match the other one (checking they test out even though) Just get a 1/16 or so drill bit (by your location comment I'm thinking you probably have one somewhere close) and wrap wire around it not over lapping. I started by doing a 12 coil wrap and putting it on the ohm meter. If you want a 1 ohm dual coil build, you're shooting for a 2 ohm coil. If it's less, add more wraps and test that. Once the ohm is right, make a twin with the same number of wraps. Pinch off some cotton from an organic cotton ball ($3 a bag at CVS) and place it in the palm of your hand, then slide hands back and fourth like you're warming them up, and poke it into the coil so it sticking out both ends like a mustache, trim the ends down to 1/4 inch or so on each end. Get you 100 foot of 28 guage and ideally you may want to have a little 30 guage on hand too http://www.temcoindustrialpower.com/products/Resistance_Wire/RW0118.html That's a decent setup you've posted but other members can probably link you individually to something they'd recommend over it. I'll grab some links. Here's the cotton balls http://www.cvs.com/shop/product-detail/CVS-100-Cotton-Triple-Size-Organic-Cotton-Balls?skuId=405326 Ohm Meter http://www.sweet-vapes.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&category_id=69&flypage=vmj_color_plus.tpl&product_id=3460&vmcchk=1&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=84

  32. Check out eBay, u can find a stainless tank with a window in it so you can see how much juice you have , but u also get the durability.

  33. You could probably get someone to build u a good coil at your local B&M store, but I believe you should do a lot of research before you go to RDAs. You need to have a good understanding of ohms law, batteries, mech mods before you get into dripping. You can really hurt yourself if u don't know what your doing. Nobody want to catch shrapnel in the face and destroy your mod. Start with getting a good tank, an ohms meter, some building materials and start small. Do a lot of research and practice before you try to DIY. U can get very big clouds and good flavor with the right tank and mod. Get a nautilus or aero tank and a good vv\vw mod and that will get u started. Nobody wants to see anyone get hurt, and the vaping community doesn't need the bad press. Stupid actions don't just affect the doer, it can also hurt the community, especially sine we r under so much scrutiny right now. I hope this helps. Good luck, and take it slow.

    Hi from Texas!

Whenever I google something about vaping I always come across a page from this website so I decided to post and introduce myself. I'm Laura and I'm from Texas. I have been a smoker for ten years prior to switching over to vaping and I didn't actually switch as gracefully as many others had. It was kind of a battle between the cigarettes and vaping. When I started vaping it wasn't really popular and people kind of looked at me strange and didn't really understand what I was doing. But then there was our first actual vape shop in the area. And they did a bunch of fun events like releases, classes, and gave kind of a social outlet to encourage me to continue on this vaping pattern. I wasn't going to continue until a really cute man stepped out from behind the counter and showed me an amazing setup. I still go to him for setup instructions and recommendations; however, I don't have to go very far as he's often in the living room rebuilding his own setup. (Yup, we got married!) I think meeting my husband through the vaping community was a really healthy step in the right direction. I know people can't quit unless they want to, but sometimes a right push.... or special interest ... in the right direction can really help! I have a lot of different setups since my hubby does run the shop. So whenever there is something new we're almost always trying it at home first before we sell it. Right now I'm vaping my K100 with my Atomic RBA. It's a pretty simple but sweet setup. Coil is built at a .7ohm. Big fluffy clouds with cool smoke. Vaping has not only saved my health and life but now has brought a new family together revolving around a growing hobby. Fun stuff! Hope to meet some more cool people in the community!
