    Vapor Shop Revenues

I'm going to close this thread because the primary focus of this forum is to help with vaping questions and not business start up questions. To the OP, if you want to learn about vaping, feel free to stick around and read. There are over 5 years of vaping realated questions and answers here.

Jaymitiguy, this forum is for vapers not vape shop B&M owners. The T&C of this site keeps B&M shops regulated as "Vendor/Supplier" status and cannot engage in general discussion topics. Each person that has responded to you since the creation of this thread is a consumer of the vaping products we discuss here. A vast majority on this forum are former smokers. So, a need to understand the products outside of the academic level is MUST! Just because you test them, doesn't mean you understand them or the marketplace for them. Your academic pedigree does not outweigh the strength of our argument or experiences in the realm of vaping. With regards to the FDA and big-tobacco, you are sorely misinformed. Big-tobacco and big-pharma hold the reigns on the FDA because they have the money to do so. And when they see a loss of profit due to the rising expansion that is vaping, they take notice and start ginning up a way to combat it. As far as tobacco companies starting their own e-cig shoot offs, well you need to understand that their motive is NOT pure. They dont give a damn about the health benefits of getting off the stinky cancer sticks. They only care about regulating us to get themselves back to their previous level of profitability. Last but not least, I think the general concesus here is that you do a LOT more research and possibly take some small business courses. As far as some of the people here that have rubbed you the wrong way... well, we're a tight knit group of vaping enthusiasts, and I don't think any of us would want to be counseled in the realm of vaping in a store by someone who has never smoked and had to beat the cigs with vaping. In this regard, experience trumps education. Have a good day.

Thanks Ma! I wanted to say what I really thought, but a bunch of ****** would just dilute the entire post. So, I figured I'd try the ol' academic approach! Lol

  7. My name is Doug, 50 years young, smoked for approximately 35 of those years. Bought a couple ce4 blister packs to start with and have not touched an analog in 2 months. Now I have an Itaste vv3 with a mini protank 3 and what a difference. I have been following this forum for awhile and have learned a lot . Thank you everyone!!!

    MVP 2 settings

First things first, with your tank/cartomizer you want to snug it down where it makes a connection, "finger snug". A lot of clearomizers with long center pins can screw on to the threads too far if you go past the snug fit. Pressing both buttons on the LCD will display the resistance and battery capacity. So when you are attaching a clearomizer or tank, once it connects snug you can press both buttons and see if it shows an ohm number. If it says "NON" that means it's not contacting the firing pin unless its a short somewhere. If you get a resistance reading back, try and take a vape and if it fires it's good to go. The biggest thing is, there's two modes, they are seperate. You can set voltage OR wattage, not both. Start running wattage mode (P for Power on the button label, it's the top button on the LCD. There's tons of bad advice where people are instructing users to set both, which is impossible. If you set Power, and then you press the "V" button for volts, it discards whatever P you just set, and vice versa. Set the (P) which is power to 7.5 and start vaping. Once you've vaped a lil bit, enough to warm up your tank and get it wicking, bump it up .5 at a time, and when you start to get the hint of a burnt taste back it down a click. The lower the ohm rating, the lower your power needs to be. If you build your own coils start around 1.8 to 2 ohms, and you'll probably crank the power up quite a bit. With my protank it tends to burn at higher watts than my aspire tank with BDC. My protank is a protank 2. When you set the (P) it's going to regulate the power for you. It caclulates the resistance in your clearomizer/cartomizer and decides how much voltage to send from the battery so that you get that wattage. When you set voltage, you're telling it not to do the math for you, to try and stay at exactly that voltage instead of adjusting it for the power output to stay the same. If you build your own coils, start out around 2 ohms, 1.8 something like that. When the ohms get really low the MVP battery just can't put out the power it needs, you'll get a better vape with a higher ohm, at least that's my experience. If 1.8 works well you can try lower next build and find the sweet spot. With pre-bought coils personally I like 1.8 ohm but 2.2 works almost as good so if you have a bunch of 2.2 coil units from kanger or aspire or something, you can use them just fine. PBusardo has a great review

    Sweetness

I've got one myself BC! But after 3 weeks of using it, I'm no longer impressed with it. I find it works better with vertical coils, but I don't get as rich of flavor from it as I do my normal RDAs. It can be a little tricky to get back together as well.

    Whatcha Vaping?

Back to the Killer Custard from Vapetasia. I was on the Kustard and Decadence from Good Life for a bit. I gotta say, this is probably my favorite custard, even better than CLS. Never ever thought I would say that. After a little steep, the flavor is incredible. If you make your first order, order big, because you get 50% off. I may need to have my brother make his first order, and tack on a couple hundred ml. Lol.

  18. Yep, what Mtdobie said. FLaN is an acronym for Feels Like a Nut. The name Almond Joy is trademarked so they couldn't call it that. Everyone gets vaper's tongue when we vape one juice for too long. It's no different with FLaN. I just switch to a different flavor for a few minutes and then go back to it. Drinking more WATER also helps get rid of vaper's tongue as well. Hint hint. Just keep in mind that if you get the Dragon series, you definitely will need to steep them before the creamy texture and flavor comes through.

I definitely agree, they r awesome, especially when I'm at work. I'm a conductor on the railroad, so I'm always moving. As much as I love dripping it's kind of a pain in the a**. So these make getting a good quality vape at work easier. Thank you Rixter, and u too Tam.

Then you do not fully understand what the FDA has up their sleeve. I have been following the FDA and other concerns about Vaping since 2009 and had a B&M. I will leave now with this video I have nothing further to say. And no this is not my only source of information, but it does put things in a nut shell.

If you had done your research on the topic of the FDA then you would know that 99.9% of the business owners in this industry would not agree with you. So therefore you need to do further research to find out why I would say that. I'm not the only one that holds this opinion and there is much on the subject right here. If you want to argue your point any further, I suggest you argue with CASAA as they hold the option as myself and many other E-Cig shop owners around the country.

My Post: Your Response: Further more, Nothing in my post was rude or, us you put it, being a "Tool" or unwarranted. You sir gave a very unwarranted repose to what advice I was willing to offer. Now as for answering you any further, No, do your own damn research Sir. Last piece of advice, I would also agree that if this is an example of your customer service and communication skills, you are doomed to fail. Good Luck.

Um sir. I gave you my opinion take it or leave it. I'm not the one coming to Message board asking people, for which the majority do not own a B&M, to do my research for me. Your response about the FDA shows me you have done little research into who funds the FDA and what the motives of the FDA are. I personally could care less if you smoked or not and I did not even ask if you had. Again Good Luck to you Sir.

Might you please answer my question to you on your vapeing experience kind sir? I don't give a rats *** how many degrees someone has, nor the income they make from the DAY job. I care what you can offer a first time customer that asks what an ecig is about! If you plan on trying to relate to them with a spread sheet or hireing someone that's "exprerienced" in vapeing to deal with it, you will fail! To that end, you will NOT come into OUR sand box and tell US what we need to do the HELP you! You will have to find someone else to prey on......................................... Bu Bye!

  39. Hey no prob. You said flan is good? And you can taste it well even with vapers tongue? I seem too lose my taste a lot when I vape the same juice all day. Maybe I should try that. These dragon juices sound interesting as well. I've noticed that I do lean towards the creamy flavors. Need to get some online, I'm just nervous to buy something I can't try first. I always go to my local shop and sample a billion flavors then pick one lol.

  41. It's respect for others in general. I support vapeing, it's done wonders for me. Human nature says we fear what we don't know. Sometimes by not forceing it on ppl we gain respect and curiosity. That's what helps us spread the word with the average person that just might want to switch.

  46. I couldn't believe how fast vaping turned me off of cigarettes completely once I got the right juice and nic content. I didn't set a goal of quitting analogs completely, although I was planning to eventually for my girlfriend/future wife and the kiddos. Once the cravings weren't so strong, cigarettes tasted so nasty and made me feel so bad, so without the strong cravings there just wasn't a lot of motivations considering the pros vs cons. Has it surprised anyone how strong and awful the smell is when a smoking coworker comes into your office or you smell someone around you that is a smoker? Even hours later although the "whiff" when they walk by isn't as forceful it's still an awful, strong, "wow I can't believe I ever smelled that bad" type of smell for me.
