  1. Who needs stain, a nice lathering of e-juice will occur over time and give it that "scratch-n-sniff" patina. On second thought that's a lot of stickyness, maybe a few coats wont hurt That's a really nice desk, some good organization tricks. I might have to borrow a few of your ideas, Mr Happy Vapor.

  8. This is so cheesy but it meant a lot, so it's a little story to explain what I got: So my girlfriend doesn't vape, but I call her a "Vape Spouse" because our dresser, her bookshelf, even her nightstand, along with my vape-desk within arms reach of the bed, usually have vape supplies on them. She watches me build coils, understands ohm's law when I explain it brings my juice to work when I forget it, etc. She doesn't even complain about how much I spent getting started and stocking up on juice. When I do something, I'm an "all in" kind of guy, and she's always right there supporting me. Yesterday she took her daughter and a friend to watch a softball tournament out of town. I stayed behind because I've been working all weekend. So I'm dozing off to sleep around midnight when she gets home. She pulls the covers back and says "I got you something baby." I woke up, thinking instantly of my posts "there's no vape shops within a hundred miles" and the distance she drove to the tournament. Sure enough, I stuck my hand in the back and felt, it was a bottle of ejuice. I pulled it out and looked at it, and it was what I vape, 18 mg nic content. She smiled and said "It's presteeped baby. I think you'll like the flavor I picked. I found a vape shop on our trip, the cards are in the bag." She bought me a biggish bottle of Space Jam Pluto. I was impressed, i knew for store-bought, the brand was pretty decent juice from my research I did when I was in a crisis worried about running out of good juice before I had something ready to vape. ( I didn't run out because Compenstine got my juice quicker than I thought was possible) This morning when I got to work, I looked it up, and Space Jam Pluto has most of my favorite flavors in it, and even something new to me that I've been wanting to try, a "cool" vape with a mentholish exhale. So I built a dripper today and after lunch cracked open the Pluto. Mrs. CharliesTheMan did very good. But it just meant a lot that she found a vape shop on the trip and went in and found something, and on top of that, she got exactly the right nicotine content, and I have 6, 12 and 18 mg at home from before I found the sweet spot, so she had to pay close attention, it wasn't just from reading the bottles.

    Hi from Texas!

Whenever I google something about vaping I always come across a page from this website so I decided to post and introduce myself. I'm Laura and I'm from Texas. I have been a smoker for ten years prior to switching over to vaping and I didn't actually switch as gracefully as many others had. It was kind of a battle between the cigarettes and vaping. When I started vaping it wasn't really popular and people kind of looked at me strange and didn't really understand what I was doing. But then there was our first actual vape shop in the area. And they did a bunch of fun events like releases, classes, and gave kind of a social outlet to encourage me to continue on this vaping pattern. I wasn't going to continue until a really cute man stepped out from behind the counter and showed me an amazing setup. I still go to him for setup instructions and recommendations; however, I don't have to go very far as he's often in the living room rebuilding his own setup. (Yup, we got married!) I think meeting my husband through the vaping community was a really healthy step in the right direction. I know people can't quit unless they want to, but sometimes a right push.... or special interest ... in the right direction can really help! I have a lot of different setups since my hubby does run the shop. So whenever there is something new we're almost always trying it at home first before we sell it. Right now I'm vaping my K100 with my Atomic RBA. It's a pretty simple but sweet setup. Coil is built at a .7ohm. Big fluffy clouds with cool smoke. Vaping has not only saved my health and life but now has brought a new family together revolving around a growing hobby. Fun stuff! Hope to meet some more cool people in the community!

  13. Thanks again everyone, I don't get online much but I'll be coming back here as often as possible...especially as I venture into new equipment. For the moment I did buy some lower nic juice to mix with the full strength I have, and sure enough that was the problem. Able to draw the way I want with little to no burn, sure the burn will go away completely as I drop the nic level more. Once this juice is gone I plan to get some juice on line and find what I like best.

    Hi from Texas!

Welcome to the site Laura. We're almost neighbors, I'm in Louisiana. There's quite a few Texans I've noticed. That's awesome about you and your husband. Even though I'm a guy and of course guys don't care about the mushy stuff (lol) I've always thought it was neat Grimm Green met his wife on the vaping forums and then started a their namber juice company together. Crazyavonlady happy anniversary to you too. It's funny how we meet our soulmates sometimes. I'm an IT nerd, and in a computer science class I had a flash drive in one of those stupid plastic hangy packages (i hate those things), and I couldn't get it opened. After fighting with it, this really smokin hot lil blonde chick next to me was like "Give it here, I'll open it for you." I was thinking she had scissors or something, but she went rambo/incredible hulk fingers on it and just ripped the package apart. Three years later we are planning to get married and have a very happy little family and amazing relationship. Laura I bet it's nice most of the time having a hubby in the industry. However I'd be broke all the time, even if I was buying at cost lol. There's just so many fun toys in the vape world. I'd love to see a few pics of the vape shop sometime, I'm in an area with a vaping population too small to support a dedicated vape shop right now.

  15. If you think about it, quitting smoking is QUITE a change to put your body through. Cigarettes have thousands of chemicals, that you are putting directly into the body via one of the most sensitive organs you have. The lungs. Anything introduced in to the lungs goes directly in to the body via the blood stream and tissues and gets distributed throughout the body pretty rapidly. Your body has an incredible ability to handle toxins. It also adapts to those toxins and builds up tolerances. And expends a tremendous amount of energy and resources protecting you from those toxins. Then one day you just stop. And your body goes, huh? Wha? It has to go through rapid adjustment (withdrawals) to adapt. And it's not always pleasant and comfortable. Don't be surprised if you experience some new sensations you aren't used to. Like smell and taste too! Feed your body, take some vitamins, drink water, and give it some time.

    Rainy day?

Just to quickly tag onto what Joshua stated, and ohm meter is absolutely necessary when you start building. I used my Sigelei 20w for two days using that to check resistance and once I finally picked up a meter I realized the Sigelei was around .2 ohms lower than the meter. Accuracy and battery safety are two top priorities IMO. Plenty of info out there and a meter won't run you more than $20-$25, and it makes a handy little stand when rebuilding too!

    Chantix Vs. E Cig!

You couldn't pay enough to take this drug and no coupon will sway me to even trying it. I did the Zyban years ago and it made me ill. I have heard enough from friends that have taken this drug to know I don't want it in my body. I expect to see class action law suits over this drug in coming years.
