    Looking for a mod

I'll say this, and then I'll get off my soapbox. In your first post, you said that you check your builds on a friends "mod". Did you use something like the MVP, VTR style of device? (Btw, they are APVs. The word "mod" is "generally" reserved for mechs) If so, then you have to understand that they are not a reliable indicator of accurate ohms. As an example, I have built a 0.32 ohm setup using my ohm reader and then on a whim, put the atty on my MVP to check it and it read 0.87. Thats 0.55 +- accuracy. Thats + or - and you'd be hard pressed to get two MVPs to have the same accuracy difference. You "could" possibly be lower than 0.3 ohms and could possibly overstress the battery and cause it to "vent". This could result in turning your mech mod into a hand grenade. If I went a bit overboard, its only 'cause I'm passionate about vaping and the extra levels of safety we need to observe when using mechanical mods.

  3. READ & SHARE BEFORE YOU GO SIGNING A PETITION WITHOUT EDUCATING YOURSELF OR OTHERS! ***Message from CASAA.org - The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association*** If you are asking about the White House petition to "veto" the FDA regulations, there is a LOT wrong with it and that is why I haven't let it be posted in the group yet. I will submit it to the rest of the CASAA Board of Directors to get an official ruling on whether or not we will endorse it, but it is unlikely. We'd rather our members start preparing to submit comments to the FDA, where it really counts. If it was well-written and factual, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend signing it, but that is not the case. You can sign it for the sake of "doing something," but you will be adding your name to a petition that is filled with misinformation and a fundamental lack of understanding of the regulatory process and the FSPTCA. The media and ANTZ could easily use the fact that so many vapers signed such an inaccurate petition against us. Showing a powerful, mass front is good, but showing it on a petition filled with so many errors may only serve to make us look uninformed and unorganized. So, in a way, is actually could "hurt" to sign the petition. Additionally, I am concerned that too many people wil sign a petition and when it comes time to send in a comment to the FDA, they will mistakenly think "I already signed something about this" and not do it. That would be less people submitting comments directly to the FDA and that could hurt us, as well. After all of that, the FDA will likely never even look at it. We've done White House petitions before (about the FDA and e-cigarettes) and the Administration just kicked it over to the FDA to answer us! The FDA comment period is a part of the actual process and essentially IS our petition. It's the time to get our voices heard by the right people. We have OVER TWO MONTHS to get our comments in and that is plenty of time. The process does not favor those who "get there first," so we have no need to rush into things. Calm, rational and factual comments are needed and that takes a little time to organize. Anyone who has been a member for some time and attended the member meetings over the years will tell you that we expected to have to analyze the rules and we wouldn't issue a statement, nor advise our membership to take certain actions, without first having a clear understanding of not only the language of the rules, but their greater implications. We are just asking for members to please be patient for a few DAYS, while we scrutinize the rules and craft a comprehensive Call to Action to assist members in submitting their comments. I'm sorry if people feel we should be doing things faster or doing other things besides focusing on the FDA comment period, but we are doing the best we can. Julie, Carl and Elaine were working on it as soon as they got it this morning, with a short intermission to listen to the FDA Q&A call. Please remember that we are all volunteers with jobs and families, not paid lobbyists. Even so, rest assured that this is a high priority and is not being ignored.

    Fadora Vapor E-Juice

Mix up a nice real Margatita, and inhale it. Lol I'm using it on my Nimbus RDA and the juice is mixed at 20pg/80vg and 4mg nic. And its holding such a great flavor! If you put this in a kpt2 or davide at 50/50 with a higher nic, it'd be even more flavorful I bet! The best way I can describe it is: its got a lemony taste with a little bite that simulates the alcohol of a real margarita. Vaping it with eyes closed, it reminds me of a summer evening after having done a day of yardwork and just relaxing. It makes more sense in my head. Having trouble putting it into words. Just get some! You'll know what I'm talking about! This one captures a summer essence and kindles fond summer evening memories!

  10. Go to any Discount Tool store and buy a Multimeter for $9.99. It is more accurate than any APV Repeat, More Accurate than Any APV. APV's will not give you an accurate reading. You keep saying you want the APV so it can tell you these things They are not Accurate... We are not saying this because we are not reading your post, we are, that is why we keep repeating Don'T trust an APV for accurate readings.

VV/VW APV's (advanced personal vaporizers: not mods) can range anywhere from $55 to $250. Please... I rather see someone on the news for stealing $20 for an ohm reader than seeing their face ripped to shreds by a mech mod with a coil build checked on an APV that failed and caused a battery to vent. They're cool, to be sure... But they're not toys. A lot of research and knowledge of ohms law and battery safety is PARAMOUNT. They can kill you.

  15. Guys no reason to freak out just yet, whatever is decided will take a long time to implement and will have to go through the court system before being enforced. I seem to remember one of my suppliers said even if they banned online sales it would be 2 or more years before they would be required to comply. I imagine it will set a federal standard for banning sales to minors, require child proof bottles for liquid, require labeling and ingredient disclosure, and require age verification for even online sales. I really do not mind any of these, its the impending taxes that will suck but it will be a while before we feel anything different imo. There will be a staggering amount of court challenges.

YOU may have tons of experience in these things but people new to vaping probably will not and will only see you saying that it's okay to check coil builds on APVs. They won't know that you need the proper batteries to sub ohm safely. That's where we'll get on you. We're trying to teach new vapers to play it safe in a way that's uniform so we don't say do this to one and don't do that to another.

Ok. No more checking ohms with APV's! This has to stop! If you don't have an ohms checker, stop building coils and definitely stop sub-ohming! There are a lot of us here that use mech mods and sub-ohm, and we all do it safely or we dont do it! Any tragic failure will end up on the news and we don't want or need any more bad press or scrutiny of our lifestyle! We get posts like this here at least 4-5 times a week. SAFETY FIRST! Sorry for the rant, but this kind of bs has to stop

    Worst tanks and why?

They weren't bad when they have short wicks. The long wicks never did work right, though. I still have some of the short wick ones hiding around here somewhere.

    Need something new

What I suggest to new vapers for an affordable and reliable setup is a Vision Spinner, which is relatively inexpensive and comes in a variety of sizes and finishes, a box of Boge SR (standard resistance) cartomizers, a 510 drip tip, and an eGo USB charger. All of these items are available at most reputable vape shops online, and you should be able to pick up the whole shebang for less than a carton of smokes. The Spinner is an eGo-style PV, much like your Phoenix, but it's variable voltage, which allows you to dial things up a bit if you're not getting enough vapor or flavor. It's adjustable from 3.3 - 4.8 volts, which, when maxed out and paired with a standard resistance cartomizer, should do the trick. You can get even more out of your device if you use LR low resistance cartos, but with a variable voltage device, you can burn out the carto's coil (and cost yourself a whole $1!) if you have your Spinner voltage set too high. Hope this helps.

  47. I decided to try something different, and so I ordered a couple bottles from Good Life Vapor's high VG Nebbia line. Kustard and Decadence. The Decadence is a new addition, which is a creamy butterscotch. I have yet to try a high VG juice. My fingers are crossed.
