  1. Well, here I am in Gerald, MO waiting to get loaded with steel pipe heading to Little Rock, AR! Yaaaay me! Hopefully I'll get a reload quick and be able to get home before dark tomorrow! Can't wait to see my wife and dogs! Also can't wait to rip into the flavors Comp sent me!!! Its been a long 2 weeks! But, I'm glad to have such good friends here on VT to help me keep things in perspective and not get depressed. I give my most heartfelt thanks for being a part of this forum and to the wonderful family of people here!

  2. What Troy said. Also, the tank that came with the VTR never worked for me. In my experience and personal preference, the wicks just don't absorb the juice fast enough not to give me dry hits and it mutes the flavor more than I like. I would suggest at least looking into getting a Kanger Pro Tank 2 or an Anyvape Davide with a 1.5 or 1.8 ohm coil. The two I named are basically the same tank made by different companies. For me, I prefer the Davide as it seems to give me better performance and flavor. Vaping is somewhat similar to smoking but not quite. You'll need to learn how to take long, slow inhales. When I smoked, like you, I used to suck hard and fast and be done with a cigarette in no time. You're no longer a smoker. Try being more conscious of how you're inhaling. It takes some time to get used to but it's more than worth it. The amount of vapor you're getting will also be influenced on the PG/VG ratio of your e-liquid. More VG = more vapor. Keep in mind that more VG also means thicker juice so it can have trouble wicking as fast as a thinner juice that you'd get from more PG. I would go with a 50 PG/50 VG or 40 PG/60 VG to start. The 50/50 I use gives me lots of vapor. Also, how much humidity in the air can also determine how much vapor you're getting. More humidity, more vapor. Good luck, and welcome!

  3. That petition is dead now. Signing it a year later, your electronic signature is not pinned to it. It is lost to the ether. By signing it now, you have essentially just sat on your thumb.

    88evape and AW 18650's

Since this is the Vendor Review section I think the thread should have a definitive ending. I received an email asking if I had mailed the cells back, which Im and glad I got tracking and delivery confirmation even tho it was sent first class. After 88evape took the cells out of stock they are fully off the site. Altho I wish the store been more proactive they did at least do all the right things to rectify the situation. Altho it wasn't a good experience in customer service I can say they are a safe business to deal with. But as always use caution when dealing with a store your not familiar with. Also I found this site posted in another thread, if you use AW 18650's of bookmark the site. http://www.fatboyvapors.com/#!fake-aw-batteries/cj5h

  5. I own and use a VTR daily, it's one of the easiest to use.. But I need What tank you have it on, and what resistance coil....Then we can set your power levels... As far as pushing the fire button, I push it a half second before I inhale, and hold it down during the toke. Try a slow..longer pull...lhard fast pulls don't let the vapor develop..

  6. Thank you all very much for all of the advice. I bought her a vv battery last night and it was like night and day for her. She is now able to get the flavor she wants and is also willing to try other flavors than just tobacco flavors. Now she is stealing my tanks with different flavors in them.

  7. Quick steeping will work in some cases. My issue with quick steeping is doing it in the plastic bottles. Yes it can degrade the Nic a bit but, the amount of time in the hot water will not affect it that much. You should do this with the bottles in baggies, this will save the label. Doing this in the plastic bottle will/could release toxins into your juice. Transfer your juice to a glass container. He says that he doesn't want to release toxins into his juice, well He can with how he did this. Do not put your juice in the microwave, period, you will ruin the juice. You will definitely release toxins into the juice and kill the nicotine. Best method is to buy a Ultrasonic cleaner from Walmart or online. You can find them for around $25-$40 or higher. This will not only heat the juice but will help fuze the flavoring into the VG/PG solution safely and in only a few hours. You can do it longer, but that would be up to you. Some say two days, three days... Depends on the juice.

    Bootleg Vapors

Ive been ordering my e-liquids from Bootleg Vapors for about 6 months now. I can't find anyone who can beat Terry's (Bootleg Vapors founder/owner) prices and quality. Their Flavor assortment is enormous and taste quality is premium. Upon every order you have the options to order your preferred bottle size, flavor strength, ice hit, make it sweeter, sour power, make it menthol, PG/VG base, and nic amount. Needless to say every order is custom made fresh for each request. E-liquid bottle sizes range from 10 ml for $2.50 to 2 oz. bottles for $15.00. They even have a Flavor Creator where they will merge any two flavors of your liking. I have ordered flavors such as Cotton Candy (made it sweeter and added sour power 70/30 PG VG "House Blend"). Absolutely fantastic! Pina Colada/Butter Rum. Made this one with the flavor creator.... excellent Apple Cinnamon Moonshine. Added an Ice hit to this one... One of my favorite vapes at the moment Cherry Cavendish Pipe Tobacco. Mild and satisfying. Blueberry 420. Replicated the taste of fine blueberry kush (nothing illegal here). An occasional vape for me. Butter Toffee. Absolutely Decadent! Really good stuff here. I gotta put Terry and Bootleg Vapors on blast for coming through with some great stuff. http://www.exoticvapors.net/default.asp

    One Year Ago Today

Hard to believe... One year ago my first vape kit arrived in mail. Ego-C. I had 3 ciggys left in a pack, my beloved American Spirits Black. I happened to be home that day working on my taxes when the mail arrived. 2 weeks earlier, after bumping in to a friend who was sporting what I now recognize as a twist battery and a tank, I began looking in to e-cigs. I had always hated my smoking if I was being honest. I loved it.....but I hated it. The stink, the bother, the ostracizing. It was a long time guilty pleasure. I never really battled with quitting. I just assumed I was doomed, lol. After I saw my friends e-cig I decided what the heck, I'll check it out. Somehow, I stumbled in to VaporTalk. It would turn out to be a god send. Man, there was a lot of BS out there but I was attracted to the site and the people. I lurked for more than a week. I read EVERYTHING. I studied hard and searched wide for hours through the forums and one thing stuck out. People were having success with this thing. I talked it over with my wife and we decided to give it a shot. I placed my first order on line. When it arrived, I immediately broke it out and loaded up a tank. It was some "American Blend" at 24mg. wow, not bad. Not perfect but not bad. My wife said, hey this is not bad. I agreed. A couple of hours later, I was filling another tank with a cappuccino. I realized I can make this work. I tossed out my last couple ciggys. I TOSSED OUT MY LAST CIGGYS!!!! I had had my last cigarette that morning. Both of us never looked back. Couple weeks later I joined VT and made my first post thanking everybody and declaring I was on board. The benefits have been amazing. I literally believe my life has been saved. I just want to say thanks to VT staff for putting this great resource here. Thanks to all the vets who's incredible advice lead to wise decisions and thanks to the whole community for the support, laughs and comradeship. It's been a great year! Let the razzing begin!

  10. when i use menthol i find it best to not use menthol all by itself instead just add a few drops to something else, i had some watermelon that i mixed it with and it came out pretty good. So yeah just get a different flavor and when filling your tank (i'm assuming you are using a take on an ego battery) just add a few drops of menthol to whatever you have.

    Cloud Chasing Problem

Rip looks like he takes a 3-4 sec lung inhale. airhole size, pg/vg ratio, mech-mod voltage drop, battery all play a part in cloud chasing. I'm not a cloud chaser myself but I get a decent vapor production with single 1.30ohm coil in my dripper with drilled out air holes.

  29. Welcome to Vapor Talk! First, what nicotine level is she using? Second what juice is she vaping? What is the PG/VG ratio? PG stands for Propelyne Glycol: it carries the flavor and Throat Hit (that scratchy feeling). VG stands for Vegetable Glycerin: it carries the sweetness and Vapor Production. She may need a higher nic level and/or a stronger PG/VG ratio. Many juices are a 50/50 mix. She may need something like a 70/30 PG/VG. Hope this helps!
