And then add in the fact that the mainstream media is in the governments pocket, they are gonna report what they are told too. Investigative journalism is dead. Along with extrapolative thought, common sense, and integrity.2 points -
Where I Am and where I'm Headed

Made it to a truckstop just south of Dallas! 195 miles from Houston. By the time I get there, morning rush hour will have thinned down. I wonder what my next load will be and where it'll be headed? Doesn't matter to me. As long as I'm moving, I'll be happy! Lol2 points -

Rebuilt aerotank coil!
bloombloom88 reacted to Crazyavonlady for a topic
We are part of a local group of vapers, and since I do NOT want to rebuild anything without someone experienced beside me, one of them came over yesterday and rebuilt my aerotank coil and built a dual coil for my husband's dripper. I also have a dual coil in my dripper (built by someone else in our group). My aerotank has the holes drilled out (courtesy of my hubby) and has a 1.2 ohm single nano coil in it. The cloud is comparable to my .62 ohm dripper! I absolutely LOVE how the vaping community is-- everyone is so willing to help out noobs and they take time to help out, and the guys who are showing us how to build coils are taking us step by step, until they (and we) feel safe for us to go at it alone, which shows that this community really CARES about the safety of noobs. Last night as I was going to sleep I noticed that for the first time since I can remember I could breath!!!! No wheezing! I think I actually was awake for a good 30 mins just trying to see if I would have that familiar wheezing sound and feel in my lungs..... I know, I need to get a life. lol But it was amazeing to have that feeling. I know I'm not the first to experience this, but I just kept thinking, this is how it's supposed to be.1 point -

I should mention.... I didn't build either coil. I do not feel comfortable enough with my own building skills at this point in time and safety is a priority for me. Both were built by separate experienced vapers who rebuild all the time. The next coils I will build under the supervision of someone experienced, and it will be that way until I feel comfortable enough with my mods and experience.1 point -

Left is .62 ohm dual coil on a basic RDA. Right is 1.2 ohm single coil in an aerotank with drilled air holes.1 point -

As a parent, nothing pisses me off more than when my kids lie to me, except when they lie and know that I already know the truth. As an adult child, nothing upsets my parents more than being lied to. I moved out when I was 17, and I still had to go to my mother for many things for school, so lying about my activities was never an option. When I turned 18, though, it never crossed my mind to lie to my parents. They both know everything about me, and the relationship I have with each of them is very close and I can tell them ANYTHING. As a wife, it pisses me off when my husband tells even little white lies to his parents. It makes me think that it would be easy for him to lie to me if it's so easy for him to lie to his parents. Lying to your parents, essentially, WILL affect future relationships. Not necessarily about this, but in general. I know it may be hard, but put yourself in their shoes. And keep open the conversation with them, trust me it will help you long term. When you're in your mid-20s and need someone to talk to, your parents won't be wondering if you're lying to them. Honesty is ALWAYS best, even when it may hurt someone's feelings, because then you become the person everyone can count on to ALWAYS tell the truth. Please don't try to fool the nic test, or lie to your parents. You will regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not in a month or year, but one day you WILL.1 point -
Big pharma for one. They're losing a crap-ton of money because people are using e-cigs and not needing all the "smoking cessation" aids. Then, there's all the meds that people have to buy in order to breathe once emphysema and COPD sets in. At one point my mother's insurance refused to cover one of her nebulizer meds she needed to breathe. It wasn't an option for her to not use it so I paid out of pocket: $571.00 for a 30 day supply. There are many people (some on this forum), who were on cholesterol meds, high blood pressure meds, etc. who no longer need them now that they're vaping. It cuts into Big Pharma's bottom line in a huge way. Then, of course, there's Big Tobacco who are losing smokers to vaping. At an average of $5 - $9 per pack, figure a pack a day for most people... you do the math. Also doing more math is the government who doesn't get the huge amounts of tax monies from cigarette sales. All this and more are the reasons why e-cigarettes are getting bad press.1 point

What's a good nicotine level?
spydre reacted to Compenstine for a topic
I have to disagree with your statement here. It is limited due to most of them pre mixing liquids and having the majority of people buying certain percentages of Nic. It is common with vendors and our self regulation not to go above 32mg nic because of the Government Fear Mongering. With advances in PVs, 24mg has even become high and 99% of vendors offer 24mg. I offer 32nic to 0mg Nic stepping down by 2 mg increments. As far as I know I'm the only vendor that does this. I personally have yet to have anyone order Juice above 18mg. Please show proof of this statement or it just becomes your Opinion and does not state fact. It only further instils false impressions of this industry and belittles our efforts of self regulation.1 point -

Life causes cancer. Eating burnt popcorn will cause cancer, Eating BBQed food will cause cancer, Eating burnt marshmallows from roasting them over a fire will cause cancer... There are no cancer causing agents in E-Liquid. That being said, the only time I have heard this is from those that have not ever done any research on E-Cigarettes. Or, those that appose anyone even using an e-cigarette because it Looks Like smoking.1 point
